Stupid user errors and great customer service!

I placed the order on a Sunday. Unfortunately, I inadvertently selected the wrong size for one of the items after I had already submitted my order. I sent a message to UrbanBikeTech not knowing if they would receive my update to my mistake before it shipped. I received a shipment notification based upon my original order, but once again, I think I typed my own email address wrong in the second message, so they couldn't contact me and I didn't know if they received my message. Things were busy at work on Monday, so I didn't get a chance to call and check until later that evening. When I called, they were very polite and informed me that they had received my message and updated the order before it shipped so I should get the correct part in the mail. It arrived shortly thereafter with the correct parts (despite my multiple mistakes). Thank you very much for helping me!

Stood behind transaction despite tariffs

Tariff shipping drama delayed my order by 6+ weeks. UBT proactively warned me, offered the option to cancel, and ultimately ate any cost difference. I had a very positive experience due to them standing behind the transaction. Product was exactly what I ordered (this is my 2nd UBT order).

You did very well considering ...

You did very well considering who you were dealing with (grinz). One hiccough came when I was attempting to nail down the seat clamp size, which we hastily measured as 1-3/16". I was told that required your 30.0mm clamp with insert. I didn't fully understand that a 30.0mm clamp came as two pieces, so when I was told that it was actually a 34.9mm with a 30mm insert, I was confused since there is no 34.9 collar listed anywhere on your website. Anyway, it turns out that we made a hasty measurement and had to return/exchange the collar for the next size up, which is in currently in process. The other was when I was trying to get the correct parts and pricing before ordering. I thought one of my emails requesting clarification was ignored for being a PITA. Well, not all of us live and breath bicycles, so be patient. Pitlock products aren't cheap, but neither are bicycles these days. Hopefully your products will prevent our having to buy a new bike or parts. Happy trails.

Good product, terrible UPS delivery

I liked the product description, sizing guide and availability of customize the set to order. However, the international delivery was horrible due to the choice of UPS as a carrier. They tried to charge me $50 extra to pay the customs duties for me. Instead I went to the customs office and it cost me 15 minutes of time and $10. After that it took UPS another 5 days to deliver my package due to "delivery scheduling problems".

fast service of a problem

one part was missing. The staff corrected that problem in just a few days! It was easy and reasonable to have my pitlock keys duplicated.

Sturdy seat clamp, lack of instructions?

I purchased the seat clamp with lock and it’s working well so far. My only issue was installing, no instructions were included. There was a QR code but it wasn’t in English so a little frustrating. I found a video in English on installing their system on wheels and followed that. I’m sure someone with a better mechanical aptitude would have no problem but that’s not me.
