Horrendous customer service

Horrendous customer service. I had a payment verification issue with a $300 order on Shein's end yet the payment was fully processed from my bank's end and the money was taken. I was advised to submit documentation proving that the payment was valid from my bank. I provided these images yet kept getting told by their automated system that the picture weren't sufficient. They were. So I reached out to their customer service five or six different times desperately seeking help. Everyone I spoke with was either clueless or kept telling me different things, or provided generic canned responses that would indicate they didn't actually read what my concern was. I already knew Shein had a bad reputation but I can't stand useless customer service that doesn't actually care about helping you. I ended up cancelling my order because after a WEEK of helpless representatives I got no resolution. First and last time I ever try to do business with them.

Shein is by far the worst company I have ever shopped with

This is alot to write... my whole experience has been horibleeee. So I purchased some items on shein and I thought the order went through. Later on when I check I saw a mesage highlighted above the order stating 7 days validation time limit, and that the account is being verified. I spoke to a CSR or many CSRs I should say. Who just repeated the same thing... at this point i was so frustrated because i order this for someone and i i needed it to come at a certain time frame. I was also asked to upload a screen shot of the credit card account statement showing the transaction that went through. I told the csr it may take a while and is not showing up on the credit card account presently. I even contacted the bank to ensure everything went well. I had to wait 2 days for the transaction to show up on the credit card statement and when it finally did,I send the screen shot as was asked for. I waited maybe a day and then i got a replied stating the document I provided is Insufficient and the screenshot is not a bank transaction. HOW in the world, could the screenshot not be when I took a screenshot precisely from the app of the credit card account showing name, credit card number(first 6 numbers and last 4 numbers), transaction showing the amount of money that was taken out BY SHEIN and even the bank name that is shown along with other personal information that I forgot to blur out. I am extremely upset. And it took alot from me to even come here to write this review. I was asked to send a "screen shot of the bank transaction" AGAIN. I don't know what they want me to do again. Shein will never get my sale everrr again. I just want the order to go true because the person is looking forward to these things. I am making one last attempt at getting this problem resovle resolved

Wrong item again. Surprise!

Let me give you a shocking plot twist: I place an order with SHEIN. I receive something entirely different. No, it’s not a typo. It’s a full-on wrong item.

Every single time. Every. Single. Time.

And what’s the reward for their mistake? I, the customer, get to waste my time going to the post office to return things I never asked for. Guess what? I don’t have time to play their game. So I end up losing money, because I never actually return the wrong item.

If you enjoy paying full price for someone else’s mistake and doing free labour (yes, returns count as labour), then by all means shop here. Otherwise—save your time, your money and your sanity.

Four stars? Definitely not. I’ll say zero, but here we are in a world with five-star systems.

Would not recommend. Unless you like being wronged repeatedly.

I ordered 5 pairs of shoes 7 days ago

I ordered 5 pairs of shoes 7 days ago, and only received 1 pair. I contacted support through various channels over 2 days, sending them photos of the package and a video from my security camera showing everything in detail. Their repeated response was: that they sent the package with 5 pairs of shoes. In short, I lost about $30 USD.

My advice: Don't buy from Shein; it's a scam with terrible customer service.

Beware of discounted returns

I placed a large order for several dresses and a shrug. I returned all the dresses together within the return window, only keeping the shrug. My return was "discounted" by $35. Shein's response was that I no longer qualified for discounts on the dresses. I didn't keep any of the dresses!! The shrug's price was less than $10; I paid about $6.50 after discount. In essence, I ended up paying over $40 for a $10 accessory. I would understand if they reduced my return by the $3.50 for the discount on the shrug. FYI in previous purchases, regardless of any discounts, I was always credited the actual price paid for any returns, not a reduced adjusted price. This issue was "discussed" with Shein via the CHAT before the dresses were sent back. I was informed I would be credited what I paid. Shein was provided a copy of the chat, and they still are not correcting this issue.

Delivery Gone Bad

I must say, overall I have been pleased. Yet, recently I received a "your package was shipped" notification. It had my order number and a tracking number. The tracking number was different when I checked the status. It also revealed that my package was "delivered" 4 days prior to the "shipped" notification. USPS delivered my package to a "parcel locker" which requires a key to access. I DO NOT have a parcel locker. I have a standard mailbox, no key required to open. I called USPS and spoke to a representative. My package was delivered to the same city, state and zip code where I live, yet to the wrong street address. I took all the required screenshots to provide evidence of the error to report it to SHEIN. They simply responded with the same generic apology, saying my package was delivered, so TOO BAD!! Thank goodness, it was only a $1.85 item, a whole $4.99 total!! Never, ever buy anything from SHEIN with money you can't afford to lose. I put in a claim to PayPal, which is paid with my credit card. What's really interesting, is that a package, that's using the same tracking number as the one shown on my "shipped" notice, is still "moving along" and is expected to be delivered tomorrow, Monday.. I wonder what I will receive, if anything... Fascinating!

False Advertising, Dishonest,

On July 18, 2025, I ordered 6 tubes of Hand cream, They sent me 2 tubes. The product is non-returnable.
I ask them to send me the balance of my order as the product was advertised as a pack of 3. I ordered 2 packs of 3. Now it is September 14th and I am in China, and They are asking me to return the previously non-returnable merchandise by September 22, at my expense. This is to get my refund.
I wont be back to the US until October 2, 2025
Customer service is the worst.

I feel for any one who has had an issue…

I feel for any one who has had an issue with Shein. I have not had any issues with the products , clothing or jewelry I have ordered. The sizing is a problem , its in a different country's perspective , I learned from friends who ordered from Shein way before I did that - What ever size you are in the USA you are not in other countries and you need to adjust the size you order based on - if you are a small - you will be fine but if you are medium - you are a large from Shein and so and so forth . I have also learned that as the pictures are great on the Shein site the product may arrive in a different type of material than you thought it was pictured on the Shein site, READ the full description of the item if you are unsure based on the picture. Shein shipping is AWESOME !!! I place an order for 12 to 20 items every couple of weeks and Shein is never the problem . The problem starts after my orders arrive in the USA . The packages sit around for days in my area's DISTRIBUTION centers or in FRANKLIN PARK Illinois for days on end. SHEIN updates tracking from their end constantly . Tracking for the UPS or other local shipping companies will be in limbo for days or weeks. I recently had a package from Shein go missing from a local DISTRIBUTION center and the delivery person marked it delivered . I did not receive it and even though it was not Shein"s fault Shein refunded my money. I am a HORRIBLE person to deal with if companies do not do want they say they will do or have shady , fraudulent business practices so when I tell you I have NOT had any issues with SHEIN at all and I have been a customer for more than 2 years I sincerely mean it . :)

Dishonesty and false information

I placed an order for two bottles of oil despenser and a set of cooking pots. They sent me a message saying the order was delivered, but I didn’t receive anything. I contacted their customer service to resolve the issue, but they said they couldn’t refund me or resend the products because their records incorrectly show that the order was delivered. I contacted the post office, and they confirmed they never received the order. I went back to Shein, but they still refused to refund me. This clearly indicates deceit and unjustified dishonesty.

BEWARE OF SHEIN!!!

My first experience with Shein was horrible and will be the last. I placed an order, which was never delivered. Their customer service is non-existent. There is no phone number or email address shown on their website, but I found the email through my PayPal transaction so I sent them an email but never heard back from them. After waiting with no resolution or clear updates on the shipment, I escalated the issue through PayPal by opening a dispute. Finally they contacted me, asking me to close the PayPal case with the promise of issuing a refund afterward. I know that is not how it works. Once the case is closed, there is no guarantee the refund will be issued, and I cannot escalate the claim with PayPal. Asking a customer to close a dispute, thereby removing their protection is highly unethical and appears intentionally deceptive. Do not waste your time with Shein. They are a scam!

Delivery Scam

They sent a notification that my items were delivered but they were not. I can't get customer service to help. I have other packages coming and I am afraid the same thing will happen. RUN from this company! UPDATE! Still no resolution! Serving package received and it was short items. If they just look at the delivery pictures they will see the locations are different where each package was delivered.

Speed X has done Shein a massive…

Speed X has done Shein a massive disservice, and Shein doesn't care. They all have me feeling scammed and exhausted. After 4 attempts to deliver my package they are obviously incapable. I mentioned that to folks at Shein, and they still will not refund me or resend my package. I have been on this issue every day for weeks now, submitted many tickets through the Shein website. They get back to me the next day but never actually resolve the issue. I get told to contact Speed X but they are nearly impossible to communicate with. Luckily, I am using Klarna to make payments and they were much better. I was able to report it to them and they put a stop to the payments. If this happens to anyone, hope that helps. They will report Shein and investigate. Thank God! I'll never order Shein again. Not worth the stress and time. I'd rather invest in American made goods and services anyway. You get what you pay for. Merry Christmas

Waste of time

Wouldn’t waste my time with US SHEIN. Descriptions don’t seem to match what they send and always sending wrong sizing and then want to charge you $7.99 for the return even though they are the ones that messed up the order. I’ve done 2 orders from there so far and I will not order from there again. Spend more time returning the items than actually enjoying them. Hopefully I will get my refunds.

I returned items and Shein says they did not reseve it but they did. The items are labelt as returned in there own system. I tried to explain but they just close the ticket every time. If they take the time to look in there own system they will see they are wrong. Now they want to let me pay for the items i have returned. There are a lot more people who have the same problem. We have contact to see what we can do about this. We made a facebook group for all people that have the same problem so we can fight this. A shame all these years i was a loyal client and now this. It is not okay. It is stealing and this will not be last that Shein will here about this.
