My experience with Value Checkers has been fantastic. Very fast to assess the item, and communicating with them has been easy and stress free. They have kept me updated during each stage and have now arranged to send a replacement item out as mine unfortunately couldn’t be fixed. I would definitely recommend them, thank you for all your help!

Have spent the entire summer waiting foe them to send me a functioning replacement laptop. AARAN keeps assuring me that the device sent is repaired and working but it is not. Got send a laptop that was apparently new but was clearly refurbished, and is not software compatible.

Value Checkers are taking advantage of vulnerable customers.
After being pressured into a contract, I paid the excess insurance fee only to be handed a refurbished laptop that was faulty from day one — the keyboard did not work. I reported this immediately. Unfortunately, due to being in and out of hospital, I couldn’t chase them right away.
Instead of fixing their mistake, Value Checkers simply assumed the issue was solved, stopped replying to my messages, and left me without a laptop for over three months. Now, months later, they are demanding I submit a new claim and pay yet another excess fee — even though the fault was theirs from the start.
Legally, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if a product is faulty at the time of delivery (as this was), I am entitled to a repair or replacement at no extra cost. Asking me to pay again for their own mistake is not just unethical — it’s unlawful. The fact that I was in hospital does not remove their responsibility to provide a working product.
So here’s what actually happened:
I paid my monthly fees.
I paid the excess fee.
I reported the fault immediately.
I was left without a working laptop for over three months.
And now they are trying to charge me again for the device they delivered broken.
This is predatory behavior, especially towards customers in vulnerable circumstances. The Ombudsman and Trading Standards should investigate this company for breaching consumer rights.
Never again. Stay far away from Value Checkers and their shady partners.

Really great experience from the beginning to the end. They were in contact all the way through. I couldn't have imagined a better customer service experience.
Quick, efficient and great customer service
I went through my insurance company on my LG monitor that I had dropped a bed frame on by accident (I am a doughnut). The value checkers were quick and efficient while evaluating the damage and kept me up to date at every step. I spoke to a lovely assistant, Attiah. I was kindly offered a full replacement. My monitor is 4 years old and I was looking to change it at Christmas anyway. I was a little nervous and felt cheeky to ask if I could request a cash value in vouchers as an alternative to put towards a different monitor (dont ask, dont get). I was made to feel comfortable about asking and though the policy didn't offer this kind of solution, through great customer service, I was offered another potential solution. Great team, thank you Attiah and thank you Value Checkers :)
Sometimes the personal touch is best
They were quick and efficient and got back to me in a very short space of time. Communication via the telephone was excellent very polite and courteous stuff and helpful too. I’m not very good with the Internet communication so things like portals I find hard to use so the personal touch meant a lot to me.

Faultless service
Haven't received the replacement yet but we are told it has arrived and ready for dispatch. Took less than an hour following payment of our excessive. So far the service and help has been faultless.
