Good service & communication

Good service & communication, purchase shipped to Australia relatively quickly although the rate was higher than I have paid for other US purchased.
Highly recommended however.

I have been purchasing from Van Dykes…

I have been purchasing from Van Dykes for many years. As an antiques dealer , I am often in need of an odd knob, hinge, pull etc, to replace those missing from a piece of history.
Van Dykes has come through for me more times than I can count!!

Great - Communication could be better, though.

I ordered carriage door hardware for 5 overhead garage doors which is a lot of pieces. Van Dykes is usually quick to ship orders so after 2 weeks when I hadn’t received an email that my order had shipped I called customer service. They politely told me they didn’t have enough inventory to fulfill my order. A few days later I received most of my order and the remainder arrived a couple of weeks later.

The phone lines were down so I could…

The phone lines were down so I could not order. Once I ordered the product was not shipped on time. The product took 5 weeks to arrive. The product arrived damaged. During the process it was unclear to Can Dykes where and when the product would arrive to us,

Unacceptable service and damaged goods.

Delivery delay???

I’ve received at least two marketing e-mails but half of my order has still not been delivered. We’ve passed the delivery date, and I’ve only received 2 if 8 items without any explanation. Please don’t send any more junk ads until you’ve at least completed my order!

My first purchase was quick

My first purchase was quick, my second dragged on with no updates and seemed liked they didn't care. I know sometimes order's are delayed but an update would let us know were still in touch.
