We turned to Varsity Tutors when my ninth grader ran into major problems in geometry. We used VT for one month at the beginning of the school year to catch up on curriculum that was giving him an issue and then came back right before the NYS geometry regents exam. The tutors we had in both instances were absolutely amazing. My son's grades went from 40s and 50s to 70s and 80s. More so, he passed the NYS regents without an issue. Specific to us, my son has severe anxiety that causes issues when learning hard material. Varsity Tutors took this into account and paired him with tutors who could properly deal with this (while still having incredibly impressive credentials); and they did! We are so satisfied with the company and the tutors and highly recommend them to anyone looking for professional tutors. We got everything we wanted from VT and more--it's worth EVERY PENNY.

I love my tutor but Varsity is a challenging company and website. I only stay with Varsity because I like my tutor very much.

Vinny is very flexible with scheduling, which is good.
He is always on time and prepared with material.
He takes his time and will repeat a lesson if needed.

He also provides good real life examples of communicating in Brazilian Portuguese and living in Brazil. His real life experience and use of language is very valuable.
