Best Trainer

I started Vasa at the West valley 5600 W not knowing what i needed to do. I got a coach Suzanne Stringham i have been in training for over 10 months. I could not be happier with my coach she is so nice but dont be mistaken she is hard at training and she always knew what i needed to complete my journey. I just wanted her to know how much i appreciate her time.

Trash-- especially training sessions

Trash-- especially training sessions.
Try Orange Theory, Noom, Weight Watchers, or literally anything else. I am extremely unsatisfied with my personal training services, and I have been having an unproductive and frustrating time with the Membership Services Team.

I've made phone calls, emails, and even sent a letter to cancel the service I have not been receiving. Apparently, VASA is run by ghosts and they 'don't' have corporate supervisors or any higher ups.

PT-- I have had to remind my trainer of my presence and have tried communicating with him with no timely response on his end. Ex: I have had to remind him to forward me the nutrition guide (this guide is simplistic and full of common knowledge), I have had to remind him of my goals, I have had an extremely difficult time being scheduled, and I have had to remind him of my asthma and previous ACL surgery. In addition, I never received a personalized routine for my time outside of training sessions. I find myself discouraged and left to dry to say the least. This is the worst-case scenario for a single teacher who recently bumped into some financial hardships---and I want to emphasize here that this is not even my reason for requesting a refund and contract cancelation; I would be MORE than willing to push through and make this personal investment IF the service fulfilled its promises.

As for the Membership Services Team, one of the most frustrating parts would be trying to contact any of them. When I finally did, I received repetitive and almost automatic responses. They did not consider what I have countlessly communicated--not to mention that I was only contacted after they saw a couple of negative reviews I left. Since then, I have been relentlessly reminded of the two ways I can cancel the contract, I have been offered a different trainer, they offered to freeze my contract for 90 days, and they offered to cancel the autorenewal portion of the personal training contract. If they even viewed my account, they would have seen that the autorenewal portion had already been cancelled, and they would have seen that I had frozen my contract weeks ago myself. Lastly, I certainly do not want another trainer based on my negative experiences thus far.

I am now left to sit and pay the remaining 6 fees until I’ve found an unfortunate soul to buy the contract that was apparently made by Rumpelstiltskin (which I have had zero success or assistance with).

VASA misrepresented personal training services with false advertising, and their contract is unconscionable. My trainer was supposed to help me stay motivated and focused on my goals, as well as keep me accountable. They did not do so, yet I unfairly must make monthly $200 payments with no benefits or services in return????????

I have had more progress, accountability, and positive experiences with Orange Theory, Noom, and Weight Watchers-- programs which do not promise to be personal or as communicative as a one-on-one personal trainer should be.

Guess I have to take this to a small claims court since they're not choosing to do what is moral or just.

This is a dishonest company

This is a dishonest company. The gym was average, but the ability to close your membership was a nightmare. You can sign up at the gym, but not cancel there. The manager said she would take care of it, but I was still being billed 6 months later. I contacted their customer service (70 minute wait time), and they said it was take care of. I next checked my billing 7 months later and they were still charging me. After over $200 of overpaying, I hope things are finally resolved, but now I have to spend my time checking. Find ANY OTHER GYM!

Fraudulent company!!!!!

I signed up with VASA and was about 8 months into my membership when I looked in my account upon returning back from a trip and found a charge from them that was out of the blue and 5 times the cost of my membership fee. I wasn’t notified of any additional charges to my account to be made and I was also clear with them when I signed up about what would be charged to my account when I signed up and any fees that would be charged throughout the membership. I also looked through my contract to be sure. I like full transparency so I’m not charged all these ridiculous fees companies try to hide from you. On top of this fraudulent vasa charge, I also found two of my other accounts hacked at this point after returning from my trip :( So I immediately took action and disputed with my bank, closed the vasa account and deleted my app as well so as not to do any more damage. But apparently, that wasn’t enough. Not only did they NOT close my account, they continued to rack up a bill for 7 months before contacting me. Today, out of the blue, I get an email saying I owe them backpay?!? I immediately called of course! I explained that my account had been hacked and there had been fraudulent charges; I closed the account after disputing with my bank. She said I never canceled and that the charge wasn’t fraudulent? and that I owed them backpay for a membership they had been charging me …without my knowing mind you! Nowhere in my contract did I see or agree to this charge. But I guess they can just make up random things and charge you? And that’s what you sign up for? I received ONE EMAIL IN 7 MONTHS. If this was a relevant charge, why not just contact me and clear this up? Why not inform me you were charging this? Put it loudly in the contract!!! I WOULD NEVER have let the situation get this out of hand, especially at my expense!!!!! But all they saw was me canceling my membership and this was just a way for them to continue collecting and rack up a bill instead of losing a membership and incoming money. I was contacted ONCE and only once despite their documentation of calls. I told the woman, no one called me or emailed! I never got more than one email (which I responded to!) even after checking my junk folder! Again, If that charge had been valid, I should have been contacted IMMEDIATELY. I should have received NUMEROUS emails! And again, this is just more dishonesty now about the emails/ calls as well as the fraudulent charge and backpay. I’m not sure what kind of games this company likes to play, but to top it off, the representative couldn’t have cared less about my situation and stated she wouldn’t actually cancel my account without payment. That in fact, she would send it to collections!!! This company is FRAUDULENT!!!! BEWARE! I never had an issue with LA Fitness.

Vasa Fitness Cancelation Policy

Be careful when you sign up for this gym. Even if the app says you can cancel or suspend for a while, it will not work. You still are charged a monthly fee and charged a $25.00 fee to cancel. It doesn't matter if it is a day or a week. Customer service is horrible. There used to be a time when you get a customer service rep who talked to you with respect.

Avoid Vasa gym.

Indianapolis, IN - East Thompson road facility.

Pros:
- Inexpensive monthly fee ($10).
- Lots of equipment.

Cons:
- Someone brought in a bolt cutter, cut my lock and took the cash from my wallet. Told the front desk. They took down my name and number and never heard anything from them.
- Different machines broken each week.
- People recording themselves.
- Machines ripped, missing paddings.
- People just hanging around machines.
- People using two machines at the same time going back and forth between the two.
- People bugging you if you are "done yet" or "how many sets do you have left".
- People leaving machines, coming back and saying they are still using the machine.
- Bathrooms always dirty.
- Locker room constantly smells like weed.

As we were going out of the country for several months on business; we came in to the Tulsa, OK location to pause our membership. Low and behold they continued to charge us. When we reached out to Blake, there at the Tulsa location, he would not help, called us a liar and told us to pound sand. Salt Lake City Corporate would not cancel the charges, nor the fees and told us it was essentially our fault. We will never, ever give you our hard earned money again! So disappointing, Buyer Beware!

I never got the first month for free and they charged me the extra 50 plus tax for the yearly free 30 days after signing up. The gym is crowded and always being worked on. I called to cancel and they said use the app and followed the instructions to do so. It would not let me and gave an 800 number to call and they will never answered as they keep putting me on call back. This gym is a scam, Go anywhere else!!

Steam room is not on when gym opens on the weekend

My wife and I go to VASA Fitness almost every day when the gym opens at 1955 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver CO 80227. It has been more than 2 months that the steam room is not on every weekend when the gym opens. However, the steam room is on Monday to Friday when the gym opens at 4 AM. Gym opens late on Saturday (5 AM) and Sunday (6 AM). All the staff know the problem and it seems nobody cares to fix it.

Billing is a bunch of crooks

The people at the gym are nice, but I had my identity compromised a few times this year, and even though I updated my card the day before my payment was due and sent screenshots. They told me that my payment had been posted internally three days prior to the due date and because my bank wouldn’t send them a letter about canceling my debit card, they were going to charge me a late fee and there is nothing I could do about it.
