Pen and paper are just as good.
It’s ok but better than the other garden planners. I find the work space too small and difficult to expand. Pen and paper are just as good.

We understand that some users prefer the traditional pen-and-paper method, and our goal is to offer a powerful, flexible digital alternative that suits different styles.
If you're finding a mobile screen too small you could try using it in the browser on a computer. That will give you far more space.
If by workspace you mean the size of the plan, you can expand it by zooming out with your mouse wheel or trackpad, and you can also pan around by clicking and dragging. You can also set the garden size in the settings menu.
We're continuously working on optimizing the user experience for various screen sizes. We're always striving to improve VegPlotter, and your feedback is valuable in helping us do that.
Veg plotter makes spacing planning easy
Veg plotter was an easy way to plan my garden spacing and they responded to my question quickly and helpfully. The other feature I would like with it is companion planting as well as spacing and the ability to put in my particular seed packet spacing info. Maybe these are available with the highest level pay version but I prefer one time payments- there are too many subscription apps

You'll be happy to know that both companion planting suggestions and the ability to enter your specific seed packet spacing are features available to all VegPlotter users, even on the free plan!
To explore our companion planting tool, select any plant on your plan and a list of companion plants for that plant will appear in the right hand menu for you to drag on to the plan next to it.
To tailor the spacing to your seed packet's recommendations just add the plant then select it and you can change the spacing to those recommended in the right hand menu. You can then duplicate the planting to other areas as you need. An advanced level subscription will also let you create custom plants to set your own default spacings too.

This app is brilliant! Easy to use, and you can manipulate the labels of various items so you can really personalise your plot layout. I would certainly recommend it.

Very basic
Very basic. Doesn’t include raised beds and some fruit like mangoes. Would be nice if the app allowed you to label the beds and other items yourself

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you trying VegPlotter. We wanted to let you know that you can change any bed type to a raised beds from the menu. Just select the bed and then raised bed in the bed type option. We do understand that we have some plants or certain fruits like mangoes missing. We are continuously working on expanding our features and plant library, and feedback like yours helps us prioritize future development. Good news - we will be adding a dedicated bed labeling feature very soon! While it's not available just yet, keep an eye out for updates. In the meantime, some users utilize the notes section for each bed to achieve a similar result.

3 Plots Made and had to make some adjustments
3 Plots Made and it works! Used this for 10 days. I've laid out a plan for a 3 gardens with this and it is working well for me. I did need to adjust planting times for certain items didn't line up with US gardening zone 5a dates. I really like the "jobs" option as this will be a great tool for keeping multiple gardeners in good communication for a donation garden we will be working together on.

I can’t get it to work
I can’t get it to work. It doesn’t give an option for a timeline of jobs and when to plant. It says I need to upgrade to get that feature but it was supposed to be in my system.

Hi, you don't need to upgrade to get the timeline or list jobs for each month. The MyJobs page/screen lists them all out with no restriction on the free account. I've had a look at your plan and you haven't planned any plantings yet. If you watch the user guide videos at https://vegplotter.com/help they explain how to plan out your fruits and vegetable plantings. Once you've planned or added some plant to your plan they will appear in the MyJobs section. If you still stuck let us know at support@vegplotter.com
