A thorough examination and testing, with a good explanation of the procedure.

I visited the Vein Centre for an Ultrasound Duplex examination. I had been having problem for over 12 months with pain below my left knee which I though was coming from my knee. Neil Prasad performed the scan for me and showed me that the problem was infact a large vein down the back of my left leg and it's branches lower down my leg. He did a drawing to explain exactly what they could do to fix it and I am now just waiting to have my procedure. I would definately recommend Neil and his team.

Nice calming reception area and the receptionist very friendly. I was kept seated and kept informed.
The consultant and support staff were equally friendly and reassuring during the whole consultation. Everything was explained and I felt valued. All my questions were answered in a detail and I did not feel that I am asking something trivial.
Top experience of health care.

Very friendly and put me at ease and explained everything, although I couldn’t take everything in of course, but very pleasant experience

The people were very kind and gentle. The outcome was disappointing as I still have dark lines from injection on my legs after 6 months. I am fit & go to the gym. I ended up with more veins than previously and now on the front of legs. The follow up appointments are to be paid for even if not for fu injection. It works out much more costly than you think. If I had the chance to speak to myself beforehand, I wouldn’t have done it. Sorry but not as good as expected.

When I returned for my treatment and follow up I had excellent care from Saiqa, John and Becky all of whom were friendly and put me at ease
Reception could be friendlier and the toilet in the building is absolutely grim

Staff very kind and informative but not satisfied with end result.

The centre was polite and reassuring, the treatment was explained through our. My legs had improved and at my follow up appointment more treatment was required. The cost was clear and included any further treatment

Staff all very friendly and polite but organisation was a bit poor. They had another patient's notes in my file. My follow up appointment date and time was changed three times. When I arrived for it I was still left to wait for 15 minutes. Again the staff were very friendly and kind. However overall I felt that the service didn't meet the standards it should for the price. The toilet was also not as clean as it should have been. There were other points I could make but they are personal to my care, therefore I'd rather not make them public. UPDATE: I was contacted by vein centre after this review. I was on holiday at the time but replied with all the information they requested via email five days later. That was two weeks ago and I've had no response from them. I'm disappointed but not surprised.

Excellent service from start to finish, all staff and medical team were very informative and reassuring.
The results of both legs have been brilliant, beyond what I thought, no more itching or heavy legs and I can now wear shorts without being conscious of unsightly veins.

I have been having treatment for venous insufficiency since last July but unfortunately the EVLA and sclerotherapy hasn’t been successful 😩. My legs now look worse than before I started. At first I was told the treatment had been successful but my legs were scanned when I was lying down for the first two visits after my initial treatment and it was only when they were scanned when stood up that I was told some of the veins had reopened. Because I thought the treatment had been a success to start with I then paid for further sessions of scleropathy. I never thought my legs looked any different but when I questioned it I was always assured that it would take a few months to see a difference and to just be patient. The whole process has left me thousands out of pocket and deeply depressed. On Vein Centre’s website it did say that in 95% (or a figure near to that) of cases EVLA would work and if it didn’t then you would be refunded. I notice now that that isn’t mentioned. It now says something about your money being refunded if you pay an insurance of £500 when booking but I wasn’t offered that option last July. To be fair I was re-treated free of charge but it made no difference and now I seem to have even more thread veins on my legs and my knees look swollen. Dr Prasad said I would get my money back if the treatment didn’t work but when I rang the call centre they didn’t seem to want to back up what was said and my case has been passed to a manager for a resolution. I felt I was sold a bit of a lie tbh as I was told how good my legs would look after treatment and I was so excited to think I might be able to wear shorts for the first time in 40 years this summer but sadly it wasn’t to be.

I would just like to add that I had a call from the area manager, Claire Lovett, who was most helpful and understanding. I am happy with how my complaint was dealt with and the resolution offered.
