I have been having treatment for venous insufficiency since last July but unfortunately the EVLA and sclerotherapy hasn’t been successful 😩. My legs now look worse than before I started. At first I was told the treatment had been successful but my legs were scanned when I was lying down for the first two visits after my initial treatment and it was only when they were scanned when stood up that I was told some of the veins had reopened. Because I thought the treatment had been a success to start with I then paid for further sessions of scleropathy. I never thought my legs looked any different but when I questioned it I was always assured that it would take a few months to see a difference and to just be patient. The whole process has left me thousands out of pocket and deeply depressed. On Vein Centre’s website it did say that in 95% (or a figure near to that) of cases EVLA would work and if it didn’t then you would be refunded. I notice now that that isn’t mentioned. It now says something about your money being refunded if you pay an insurance of £500 when booking but I wasn’t offered that option last July. To be fair I was re-treated free of charge but it made no difference and now I seem to have even more thread veins on my legs and my knees look swollen. Dr Prasad said I would get my money back if the treatment didn’t work but when I rang the call centre they didn’t seem to want to back up what was said and my case has been passed to a manager for a resolution. I felt I was sold a bit of a lie tbh as I was told how good my legs would look after treatment and I was so excited to think I might be able to wear shorts for the first time in 40 years this summer but sadly it wasn’t to be.

I would just like to add that I had a call from the area manager, Claire Lovett, who was most helpful and understanding. I am happy with how my complaint was dealt with and the resolution offered.

I recently had veins removed from both legs, one was removed(particularly ugly) and the other veins were laser treated. Very pleased with the results and everything was explained well prior during and after my treatment. Nice modern clinic, easy to find, well out of the city centre and free parking..

I received Endovenous Laser Ablation and Sclerotherapy treatment 7 days ago. Prior to treatment the procedure was explained and the treatment was as described. Great care was taken during the procedure and although slightly unpleasant at times it was relatively painless. Most of the bruising caused by the treatment has disappeared and I can already see improvement. I understand it can take time for the larger vein to disappear. I received excellent care throughout and highly recommend this treatment to anyone with unsightly veins.

It’s nice to be able to walk without the aching in my legs and also to feel comfortable wearing shorts and the staff are always there for you just a phone call away, I’m so so glad that I have had the treatment done

From my initial enquiry I felt that I was in the safe hands of friendly, experienced professional people.
I was welcomed warmly at the clinic and during a very thorough consultation, everything was explained to me clearly. There was no pushiness and I was under no pressure to book.
At my initial consultation I explained that I had previously seen another consultant at a private hospital and had Veinwave treatment and foam schleropathy which had been unsuccessful and I had been refused a follow up appointment. This understandably made me cautious when making the decision to have treatment again.
I had my first treatment on 14/8/24 and due to me going on a long haul flight in early November, I had my follow up appointment 6 weeks later.
The improvement so far has been really good, and I am very pleased. I have had further foam treatment and microscleropathy which should hopefully give me further cosmetic improvement.
I’m sure that in a few weeks my legs will be looking better than they have in years.
Dr Neil Prasad has a very calming manner, he and his assistant were both understanding and put me at ease.
I’d highly recommend Veincentre and can’t wait to show my legs off on future holidays!
