Taking Back Control
As with anything new, I found myself a little worried to try Velieve but once I'd read the instructions and followed the app it was all very easy to do. I got a diagnosis really quickly and could get my medication the same day. A true revolution in healthcare and being able to take back control of our own bodies.

Only useful for "simple" UTI's
The reason I used this app/testing kit as I've suffered with UTI's in the past, I am aware of the symptoms very early on now. I used this app due to COVID and not wanting to suffer with the pain of a UTI or take up NHS time.
Despite the test being quickly delivered, easy to follow and beautiful eco packaging I was given the standard antibiotic Macrobid to help with my UTI, unfortunately this wasn't strong enough for my UTI and I got another a few weeks on.
For now I will stick with seeing my GP and home strips, but in the future I may use this again - I'm really happy UTI's are being spoken about more openly and apps are becoming more helpful when it comes to health!

Unbelievably amazing!
Mind blowing! Amazing concept. Didn’t want to put any more pressure on the doctors surgery near me/wait for an app soused this service. Requested a kit at 8am and had done the test and received my antibiotics by 2pm. Worth every Penny and have told all my friends about it. Just brilliant.

There was a issue with getting my test…
There was a issue with getting my test results back which is why minus 1 start but the team where great with responding to me and sorting out the problem .

Velieve is just amazing. The test kit was delivered to me a few hours after ordering. Fast diagnosis and prescription was sent to my nearest pharmacy in seconds. Great service for people like me who have frequent UTIs.

Not worth the hassle..
Save your time and money and book a proper GP appointment. Unfortunately, I only found out after my purchase that Velieve is for ‘simple’ UTIs only, therefore the maximum they will prescribe is 3 days of antibiotics. I wish this had been clear prior to purchase. Even with a standard UTI, 3 days of antibiotics didn’t clear my symptoms and I was told by Velieve to go to my GP anyway.
I am very disappointed as I’m all for women having more convenient and less expensive ways of looking after their health, but Velieve left much to be desired. My advice would be to skip the hassle and just book with your GP who will look after you and make sure you are cleared of your infection properly.

We're sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience with our service.
Our GP partners follow the Ireland Public Health Service guidelines on the treatment of uncomplicated UTI. The standard prescription length for the antibiotics prescribed for this condition is 3 days. If your symptoms do not resolve within those three days, it may mean that there is something more complicated going on that requires further evaluation in person with your GP.
Thank you for your feedback regarding not being aware of this when buying our service.
We are looking into ways to tackle this point.

an excellent seamless service. kit is perfectly crafted and delivery was within 1-1/2 hours of ordering, having chosen 4 hour delivery. made it very easy, instead of depending on GP. highly recommended.

I couldn't get a clear camera picture at the end so the test stick 'timed out'. A waste of my money as they only give one stick to test so in order to re do the test you have to buy a whole new kit.

Excellent timely delivery and easy to use instructions but had to wait far longer than 30 mins for the results and feedback.
You also need to set the survey for the very end of the process after results have been received not after entering data.

Great but some problems to be aware of...
I ordered the Velieve on a weekend and still had next day delivery which was great.
The instructions are very easy to follow and I had a diagnosis the same day that I posted the sample.
The problems that I encountered came when there wasn’t a chemist local to me open on a Sunday.
The other problem was finding a local chemist who would accept a prescription sent via email.
You should bear in mind encountering the above problems when you buy.

Amazing idea
Amazing idea. I ordered it this morning and it came home in 3 hours. The only thing that I will recommend is to mention to the pharmacist that the prescription is coming from a private consultation, otherwise they will have a problem finding it.
