From the moment I entered the showroom just looking at my options, the staff (Jordan & Stuart) were extremely friendly, and really took their time to explain everything in detail to me, not pushy just genuine. I had test drive and different options were given, I had a courtesy call a couple of days later from Jordan and I secured the car, the process was so seamless, Jordan kept me in the loop every step of the way through the buying process, insurance etc and he managed to get everything sorted for me so I could pick my car up just 2 days later!!! Exceptional service!!
Collection was smooth - going over the car and showing me all gadget's etc nothing was too much trouble and I really appreciate that. A big thank you to Jordan & Stuart for all your help!
Great service guys!

I bought a car, a Ford Focus 1.0L Ecoboost, from here back when they were trading as 'Bristol Street Motors' in November 2024. The sale of the car happened in under a week and had the car less than a month when I realised there was water ingress coming from somewhere in the car and soaking the carpet in the footwells. Upon taking it back to the dealership to get this sorted, I was told that the warranty I took out when purchasing the vehicle did not cover water ingress and that I would need to pay for any repairs needed! I therefore had to talk to the sales team in order for them to tell the service team that the repairs should be done free of charge due to the amount of time that had passed since the sale of the vehicle. Upon inspection, it was determined by the service department that the water ingress was originating from the front windscreen which resulted in the whole window being replaced. Another 2 months later, I was arriving home from work when an engine light appeared on my dashboard indicating a serious mechanical fault. When the AA arrived, they told me that the car would need to be towed to the garage at Vertu Motors because the wet belt in my engine had corroded and caused serious damage, additionally telling me that those specific cars have a well-known fault and are called 'ecobooms.' Once the car had been towed to the service department at Vertu Wigan, I was told over the phone that they would not be able to fit the car in for repairs for at least another month! However, this was then corrected when I managed to get in contact with the Wigan service centre directly and they said they'd look at the car immediately. Once they confirmed that it was in fact the wet belt and the engine at fault, they proceeded to tell me that they would most likely have to charge me for any engine replacement or repairs needed as, you guessed it, the warranty would not cover that. After many phone calls back and forth, they eventually allowed me to talk to the manager at the branch who assured me that the replacement would be done for free due to the trouble and the fact the car had been purchased less than 6 months before these issues. In autumn 2025, my car was due a service and MOT, so I took it back to Vertu Wigan as I was paying £40.49 a month for a service plan. After the service and MOT were carried out, I was informed that the brake discs and pads needed replacing at the front of the vehicle and that the front subframe of the car needed replacing as well, which they quoted me £1000 for not including the discs and pads. Instead of accepting their quote, I took it to a trusted garage and they told me there were no signs of corrosion on the front subframe and completed the repairs of the discs and pads with no issues. A year has now passed since all of this happened, however over the winter months coming into spring of 2026, I noticed water flooding the footwells of my car yet again, and upon taking advice from another garage it was determined that the water ingress was coming from the rear of the vehicle, NOT the front windscreen as originally thought. Therefore, I intend on selling the car as soon as I have paid off the finance and never using Vertu Motors Wigan again due to the experience I have had with getting this car. My family have bought multiple cars from here over the years and they have also been put off from ever going here again. Despite the repairs being completed, which they knew they had to legally, I did not and still do not appreciate not being told that the wet belt would need to be looked at more regularly than a car without a wet belt when I was going through the purchase process, I do not appreciate the amount of phone calls it took to convince the service department to carry out the repairs free of charge (which caused a large amount of stress at the time due to me having no way of getting to work, resulting in me having to call and tell my workplace I wouldn't be able to go in, losing pay), and I also do not appreciate that the water ingress was not properly investigated when it should've been.

I recently purchased a car from this dealership and honestly couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. From start to finish, the service was smooth, professional, and genuinely friendly.
Liam was absolutely lovely—really approachable, patient, and never pushy. While I was waiting for the checks and finance to be sorted, he went out of his way to fill the car up with a full tank of petrol, which was so lovely and made a big difference to my journey home.
Everything was clearly explained, the process felt transparent, and I was made to feel comfortable and looked after throughout. It’s not often you come across service like this when buying a car.
I drove away feeling confident and genuinely grateful for how well I was treated. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone—thank you again for such a positive experience!

In September last (2025) after test driving a new Ford Explorer at a local Blackpool dealer where I live, I was literally "gob smacked" after the "No Response" attitude from this dealer afterwards, who failed to send me finance figures or communication after asking several times.
They blamed it on their email, but there was always a phone!
Anyway, I loved the car very much and decided to find another Ford Dealer other than the one in Blackpool who also had a branch in Preston, and I contacted another nearest dealer - Vertu Ford in Wigan.
I have to say that the response was amazingly different, I had all the finance figures the very same day from Jordan in sales who even arranged a next day visit for me to attend the dealership to discuss my order.
Having a growing St Bernard puppy, the car had to be factory ordered because of certain Dog Guard Bezel fittings I wanted installing in the vehicle together with the colour (Rapid Red) and other factory extras, but I was willing to wait to get what I wanted.
I have to thank both Jordan and Stuart in sales who kept me informed throughout the process and as of yesterday I am a proud to say I am the owner of a brand new Ford Electric Explorer Premium Extended Range in Rapid Red with everything I asked for superbly fitted.
I cannot fault this dealership experience, I have dealt with other New Car Dealers in the region in my past and some have been very good, but as mention above, some extremely bad at communications which lost them a sale.
Vertu Ford Wigan for me comes top of the list for communication, friendliness and staff with good professional knowledge of the vehicles they are selling, they gave me a very good all round deal, with no hesitation when I gave them a list of what I wanted on the car. They simply said "This car will have to be a factory order, but thats not a problem for us to do for you"
That's the genuine reason why I have given this dealership a 5 star rating, for me they deserve nothing less.

Really welcoming and friendly staff each time we visited. Nice and clean showroom and they let you look around the car without pestering or jumping on you.
Shout out to Ryan, he was super helpful and accommodating from the initial ordering stage, to the communication and pickup of our car. He explained everything brilliantly and was really helpful with the options available and our requirements (Motability) - making sure everything was stress free and ran smoothly for us. A pleasure!
