One star is being generous
One star is being generous. I would not recommend this vet to anyone. They are the rudest vets and can not admit liability when something is their fault causing you to lose money because of their mistake. I’d never use this vets ever again.
Such a traumatic experience for my dogs…
Such a traumatic experience for my dogs today! Took my two dogs to the clinic in Revesby for the yearly vaccination. This male vet didn’t bother to introduce himself, didn’t acknowledge me and dogs from the beginning to the end. He did nothing to calm down the dogs during the process. I felt uneasy when he asked me to hold my dogs’ head when he’s giving the needles cause I’d never been asked to do this by any other vet before. He must have hurt one of my dogs so much with the needle on the first try and it began to struggle badly and bent the needle. In the end we had to get the nurse to help hold it down. My dogs have had been vaccinated so many times, and have always been easy and calm. This vet is just so rough and uncaring when dealing with animals, he doesn’t have the right heart for this job. You shouldn’t become a vet just because it’s good money.
Appalling service from these vets
There wasn’t an option to select no stars, I did write a review yesterday explaining what happened but it appears to have not been published.Appalling service from these vets, I lost my 13 month old pup through mis diagnosis and neglect, after months of emails back and forth to try to get just some justification all you get from the practice manager is “sorry for your loss”…….are you really?…your pets mean nothing to them avoid at all costs.

Took my greyhound to see practice at Colchester stanway he had blood pouring from his bottom he has irritable bowel gave me a tube of paste and offered me a a few steroids he is even worse tonight rang them said would you like to come back l said no as l haven’t access to vehicle so then they said he might need hospitalisation if the vet had been properly trained and given right medication my greyhound would be not in pain now and quite frankly lm disgusted should be struck off quite frankly sonya randall

Rix road vets for pets are appalling and cause pain to pets …
I took my pup to get her booster vaccination and they injected it into her shoulder blade which left her with a gold ball size lump. Keeping in mind she is only a 10 week old puppy. She has been screaming in pain everytime it is touched. When I rang I was told it should go down after 10 days and was offered for a vet to see her. She shouldn’t have needed a vet consultation after a booster. These vets at Rix Road really don’t know what they are doing. I advise anyone who loves their pets to NOT use rix road vets for pets.
Vets4pets Accrington outstanding attention
Got a swift appointment at vets4pets in Accrington, first class service from a compassionate receptionist and a reassuring diagnosis by a capable member of staff concerning my traumatised dog after being hit at speed by an e cycle on the canal.Thankyou
Disgusting service bad attitude and cost the earth
Took my dog there as he wasn’t well had been off his food and not drinking for 2 days the vet that saw him appeared to be scared of dogs she said my dog tried to bite her when she went to take his temperature which isn’t true he turned his head. I told her he had been chewing on a stick yet she failed to even look in his mouth she simply lifted his lip and said there was nothing in there. The entire consult took about 2 minutes and her diagnosis was he should be fine charged me close to $300 and sent us on our way. After a day or so of him still not eating or drinking I did an inspection of his mouth and found a decent sized splinter wedged between his front teeth and his gum I removed it myself. The poor thing became constipated and dehydrated he was still struggling and in pain for another few days after I removed the splinter. I rang the clinic and explained what had happened and was told they would have the practice manager contact me. Julian rang me basically fobbed me off with excuses and offered to drop off dog treats as compensation which of course he never followed through on. Would I recommend this vet, absolutely not. Do not waste your money on their poor service and lack of professionalism.

My review is for Vets4pets Rix Road…
My review is for Vets4pets Rix Road Hull, intially my experience was good with practice owner showing great compassion to my white German Shepherd Bailey who had to be put to sleep due to Cancer, since then Customer services and levels of care has been appalling, and following 1 written complaint ,and a telephone complaint resulting from prebooking my litter of German Shepherd's and them having no Flea and worm treatment in stock, and dispute me ordering it they forgot to order it leaving me 8 days later with no treatment still, and me having to seek /move to another Vets4pets at the opposite side of the city, I also raised that 2 of the pups have large infected lumps at the entry area of either the vaccination or microchip which they said should go down within 10 days, these vets have left my pups at risk due to either a failure in the systems they use or incompetence in not ordering the needed medication in advance or after I requested it ringing me the say after I complained leaving the pups in further discomfort, with not so much as an apology, is this the standards of an animal friendly Vetinary practice? I do not think for one moment they will try and ready the problems they have in fact believe due to poor customer service they would rather cause further distress to concerned owners than admit they have failed at every level, I hope the other branch is of higher standard as was recommended by a friend who told me I should leave and they have a good relationship with their vet,
Awful experience my dog ate a ball told…
Awful experience my dog ate a ball told to come straight away. Waited 2 hours as my dog was an emergency appointment. Waited for everyone before me and after me to be seen my dog was muzzled and so distressed I may as well went to PDSA so much better organised and caring compared to vets 4 pets. After a long wait and the rude receptionist we where seen by a rude uncaring vet he has a sickness injection we where left in a room for 2 hours of the dog being violently sick. The vet went home didn’t even check on us before he left. I had to argue for the vet to come and see if had bought up and so we could finally go home appalling uncaring all about what money they can get out of you
Heartbroken, Linda , wigan
Heartbroken, our 3 year old chawawa/jack Russell had to be put down day after what should have been a simple operation involving gall stone removal , he was a healthy happy little dog ,it started of with a water infection 2 weeks earlier and he suffered horribly over the 2 weeks , he ended up with renal failure day after his operation , these people don't care , they just want your money , he should not have suffered like did , he was so tiny , it was the wigan branch of vets4 pets .

I cannot fault the professional care and support my wife and I have experienced with the entire team at Vets4Pets in Moordown, Bournemouth at probably the saddest moment in our lives. I would not think twice in recommending them and trust their judgement inherently.

My late wife had a care plan for our chihuahua at vets for pets in Llanelli South Wales, after she passed I rang to find out what treatments were owing to us on the plan ( worm tablets and flea treatment ) thecredponse was "its in your wife's name so the account is now closed " so the treatmentcahechas paid for are now lost! Unbelievable attitude.
Took my cat to Vets4pets on Sunday…
Took my cat to Vets4pets on Sunday 11/07/21. My cat had an eye problem the vet examined the eye and administered eye drops, the vet asked any other problems? And I mentioned that he was scratching a lot and that he had been treated at Vets4pets previously. The Vet looked at his record and noted he had been treated with a steroid injection on a previous visit and recommended that he had another injection to which I agreed. Now, for me, what happened next was worrying, the vet gave the injection in his lower lumbar region(his back). As far as I know injections are usually given in the neck or lower limb. We got the cat home and he seemed OK for a while but then became lethargic lying about and not very responsive. On the Monday 12/07/21 he seemed to be worst so made another appointment at the vets for the next day (Tuesday). We took him to the vets where he was presumedly examined, I say presumedly because they would not let me into the surgery to watch, when the vet returned they said that that they could not see any think obviously wrong, no lumps swellings, and his temperature was Ok the vet suggested a blood test to rule out any underlying cause to which I agreed. The vet said that they will ring with the results on the following day(Thursday) but they didn't ring, we rang them and they said they will ring later when a vet was available but didn't. On the Friday I rang them and once again was told a vet was unavailable as my cat is getting progressively worst I became annoyed with this situation and protested a little, the receptionist then said that they did ring me on the Thursday but their was no answer this was a blatant lie because their is no evidence on either my mobile or land-line that they had rung. So I'm still waiting for the results and my cat is suffering because of their sheer incompetence.
My partner was threatened with balifs…
My partner was threatened with balifs if she didn't pay a £65 bill, all she wanted to know is what the bill was for, they couldn't tell her so she obviously refused to pay until they could.
More threats came through the post but still no explanation.
We will never use them again as they are not fit for purpose and only try to screw folk out of money.

I would not recommend to anyone who values their pets lives, after raising a complaint about my puppy needing urgent care and staff refusing to see him unless payment was made before treatment he nearly died. They are supporting their staff and their decision on refusing to see my 6 month puppy, and trying to justify their incompetence as a practice.
If you are struggling financially at this moment in time this is not a practice you can turn to for help.
They are rude . Judgmental and also incompetent at their duty of care for animals.
An appointment was offered for my pup but once I mentioned I was struggling financially they said and I quote ‘ you must raise the funds as payment needs to be made before any form of treatment is offered’
I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Thankfully donnington grove were the complete opposite and saved my puppies life !
