Summer 2022: We work in IT from home & require reliable internet. We always had Bell & Virgin as our providers, but A Videotron sales rep came to our door last week promoting 400mbps internet for 70$, we STUPIDLY signed up. Day 1 today...From our bedrooms 15 feet away from the modem, we have NO ACCESS to the network LOL! Serious lag unless you a sitting on the modem! What a farce. Also they preach a download speed of 400 mbps and a speedtest (measured from multiple speed test sites) reveals between 30-45mbps! SERIOUSLY Videotron?? I think this corporation has OTHER HIDDEN political objectives rather than providing serious internet service to users. STAY AWAY FROM VIDEOTRON!

I'm an Helix customer, fairly happy... until recently... I moved and the farce began there. The move was schedule on a Thursday... 2 days before the moving day all Videotron services stopped... 2 days too soon and I'm working from home!!! Talk to the Tech Department, there is nothing they can, bottom line I lost 2 days day of work, reason given: someone entered the wrong date in their system. Connection in the new house was also hectic. After the move,I discovered that my original Helix plan was no more available. So I switch to a new plan, with more channels and from the sales rep... cheaper... much cheaper!!! Today the first invoice came in and surprise: my bill is 40$ higher then the discussed price with the sale rep!!! I called Videotron to discuss and fix the issue to discover that the sale rep was full of BS when he discussed the price and nothing can be done to fix it!!! Bottom line I had to deal with a bunch of incompetent who cannot set a correct moving dates or sales rep giving you wrong and false information. I'm done with them after more than 40 years. My advice stay away from them.
Totally worthless Support.
I called them with a problem with my Huawei tablet not connecting ever since the Govt. of Canada banned Huawei from the 5G network, and they were pretty useless in helping me resolve the issue. Spoke with a girl named something like Kahloua (sorry, not sure about the spelling) and a certain Alexandre j.
Both said that Videotron works fine and my problem is with Huawei. Sorry guy (and gal) but my tablet connects with every other network or personal hot spit I tried.
Useless service by teenagers hires for the summer because of the lack of oersonnel. Attitudes all around, but with absolutely no experience in any type of related matter. (Except in smoking weed during working hours of course). Gonna have to cancel my service with them. Maybe go with Bell again. My tablet has no problem connecting to them.

I switched to videotron with my 2 mobile numbers and my home internet helix, i was really impreased with the service when it comes to switch you to them, then i noticed that my mobile number is not the same i have for more than 2 days, suddenly i knew and i contavted them, they said we are sorry its a temporary number while we are switching you to us, without any notice....
Here the customer service was really slow and not so helpfull. After that i am Noticing a really bad internet on my mobile.
For the bill, i was told i will be waived for the connection fee but they sent me a bill with connection fee.
As for Helix, the company sent the modem or router to my address and i was promised that the guy will pass by the same day to make the connection. As they sad he came twice that day and didnt found me home, also i have noted my mobile number to contact but nothing...
After many calls they told me that there is no availibility fot the technicien to come before 5 or 6 days....
And i was surprised with a bill sent to me by email ??
I didnt have internet yet and not even connected and the rputer is still wraped in the box waiting for the guy next week and i have to pay tge bill????!!!
Its hilarious, i contacted videotron and cancelled my helix subscription and i am getting back with my old mobile provider.

I have been a loyal customer for over 30 years. I have defended their customer services tooth n nail. But no more. Their service has really deteriorated in the past couple of years. They change prices even if I have my proof in email, screenshots, recorded. They don`t care about customers anymore. I guess they don`t need me. Well, I don`t need them either.

Waste of time , biggest mistake of my life was videotron , terrible customer service not organized I had to call 7 times just to transfer my line to my own account . Every time I call they have no idea what I’m talking about .

Please don’t stay with them. Its a fraud company with very poor customer service. A customer rep promises you one thing and puts something else on your contract. Its a BIG SCAM AND FRAUD.

Videotron has been the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They are impossible and always mix something up. Customer service is useless and always gives different information. I am extremely disappointed and glad I don't have to use their service anymore. I think its the first time I am leaving a review because it was that bad.
Tried to get Videotron's highest speed…we screwed up the credit check by misspelling your name so you have to prepay $300
Tried to get Videotron's highest speed internet,their prices are competitive.I had been their client for over 20 years up until 2019,never a late payment.They ran a credit check,I have an 840(excellent) credit score.The agent said I had to go to the store and show ID,which I did immediately.The store rep said they would call me back within 48 business hours,he said the activation had been blocked,probably by an alert on my credit report.No call for over a week.I called them today Feb 4 to change my order.The agent said he had to do another credit check.I replied they did one a week ago,use that one.He said there was a problem with the first one,I replied I checked my credit report and it shows Videotron pulled my file on Jan 26.I don't like doing unnecessary hard inquiries,it can lower your credit score.I called equifax,they said there are no alerts on my file anymore,no reason to have a problem,also another pull by Videotron within a few days wouldn't affect my score.I called Videotron back,I had to go from agent to agent until I found one that came across as competent.They would ask me to repeat my name,phone number,email several times,they kept misspelling my name which is not an uncommon one,they just came across as incompetent and disorganized.Finally I spoke to an agent who appeared competent.She said she had to make inquiries and call me back.She did call back as promised,and she said the reason they had a problem is because the agent who ran the credit check misspelled my name!Because of that I would have to prepay the Helix device,$288 up front!Enough said.No thanks.I checked my credit report again and it showed Videotron did a second credit check! My score was still 840(excellent) thank goodness,yet evidently she still couldn't activate without a deposit because of the initial misspelling of my name.I went back to the store,and the rep said it was because there was an alert on my credit report,which is what I initially speculated why I had to provide ID at the store.I had since found out there was no longer an alert on my report.I replied,so I'm victimized twice,once by the cause of the alert,now by you! I then informed him there was no longer an alert on my credit report and that the customer service agent admitted the problem was caused by having misspelled my name,that's what blocked the activation.A quagmire of incompetence.And an unfair outcome.

i live in Quebec from 15 years , i don't saw fournisseur worst than Videotron , every agent have different words we made a deal , when you call them you do confirmation with them ,and you will have something different, you call again to correct the mistakes and you will be big lier , everything was changed in the deal , i don’t see in my life bad company like this , they does not respect the customer or what they said

Worse company ever. Service sucks, speed sucks (never as fast as advertised), etc...
Also, after some strong winds we lost electricity AND internet. Electricity was re-established by Hydro after 2-3 hours.
12 hours later internet service is STILL down!
Unacceptable.
I called them twice and they don't even know when service will be back. I bet they don't even have a team repairing the problem on a Sunday evening.
So I'm taking my business elsewhere.
I just switched to Bell.
Way faster and better service.

Traveler Pass is a Joke
The daily traveler pass is a joke. Two years ago you had to call to activate and deactivate it - or wait like 24hrs for it to kick in? I forget at this point... - which was not at all practical while traveling, so I was stuck with turning off my data entirely for days I didn't want to use it. Now their "activate" button in the customer service center just immediately pops back to being selected after pressing "deactivate". They can't seem to figure out basic basic functionality. I am a semi frequent traveler and going to another phone company at this point. 🤷
EDIT: Now their data add-on function doesn't work either. I keep getting an error on their website. Their website is unusable half the time and the customer pays the price.
Videotron is a cheater
Videotron is a cheater. Videotron owes me $71. Every time I call the customer service I hear the same reply every time. My apologies blal bla bla. Videotron holds customers money and make extra money out of it. When they pull money from credit cards done in seconds but while returning back it takes 4-6 weeks and most cases they don't even maintain that time frame. They don't train the CSR properly as well.
Lies to sell they products.
So is the deal whatever price the seller told you add 10 to 30 dollars more and never trust what they tell you they will say anything to get you in. Every time I add something or make a change the price is never the same as what I was told. Then you have to call them so they can tell you that the seller made a mistake and you have to get in a fight whit them to get the price you were supposed to pay.

Roughly 10 years ago Videotron had excellent customer service. They actually had adverts on how proud and honest their customer service was. It was easy to make changes and even order new services off their website. Now, It's all marketing based. The whole Videotron brand is now an "Experience" according to their representatives. On the phone customer service is horrible. Bunch of sales oriented vultures trying to squeeze every cent possible out of you. I had a sales rep tell me the new phone services are better the one I had. I took out a calculator and proceeded to explain through MATH that the new service are twice the price for half the service. He then apologized for "misunderstanding" what I said. These rep follow a script made by a marketing agencies that promised the moon, but deliver a gold polished poop. Please go back to the old ways. Other than the bad sale rep, and marketing based approach, nothing to say against their services. My internet is fast and connection rarely fails. Prices are too high for what we get, but that's because there is no competition.

Videotron is Crap. Been with them for 30 years and never had a problem , last two years customer service has been terrible. Sales people lie, customer services passes you around and blames other departments . Terrible terrible and avoid like the plaque. I spend close to $300. Really considering changing to other provider
