Totally unsatisfied

Totally unsatisfied. At the moment I cancelled the service they told me I have to pay for the equipment that it seems I have bought and not rented as I thought... So now I owe them quite 200 dollars for a modem I don't really need anymore.. pls be aware of this when subscribe with them, they are not going to specify it to you clearly!

System is bad,
for my first bill they charged me 2 months,

they sent the bill without an account number, so not able to pay them, so after contacted them the created an account I registered to pre-authorized payment before the due date, but their system weren't charged, now it passed the due date with pernalty, contacted them again they told me the call to pay by phone, said their pre-authorized don't work.

now I passed the due date because of their system.

If I could give less than one star I would. I moved and called them to cancel my internet service because my new roommate already had internet. They said it was fine and that they were going to send me a refund for the month. One month later, I was charged for internet at my old address. I called again and asked them what happened and they told me that the internet service has never been canceled. I asked them to give me my money back, they said they were going to send me a refund but it could take up to 2 weeks. I didn't trust them so I asked to cancel the pre-autorized payment to make sure. Then a week later, I got an email saying that I could consult my online invoice... I called them again only to realize that they still didn't cancel my subscription and also didn't remove pre-autorized payments. They finally did it but told me I would have to wait another 2 weeks to get my refund. I went in a store to talk to someone in person and make sure everything was fine this time. I was obviously really tired of dealing with them and every one saying something different, so I let the guy know that I had ever had as many issues with with a company before. I wasn't disrespectful, but as you can imagine I was tired of this whole situation. He was really rude to me, telling me that it wasn't his fault and that ''he was my solution, not my problem''. I was having a few issues logging in into my account to pay my phone bill and he just said ''well, there's nothing I can do'' so I had to go back home and figure out the problem by myself. The service is bad, employees are useless and rude, it's really frustrating and as soon as my phone contract is over, I will go back with Koodo. I was with them for years before switching for Videotron and never had any issues.

It's all wrong we can't even watch a…

It's all wrong we can't even watch a movie ...keeps loading .....we have to wait until it's loading done and we are in the middle of the movie sucks ...customer service are so rude and bad ...we ask them to come fix it they said no.we have to pay 99 dollars..then come take your machine said no.you have to pay for the machine .they mislead us nobody told us this machine is ours ..at the end I am telling you guys this is the worst company cheers

one star is being sadly too generous

one star is being very generous to be quite honest and i say this with very good reason given that ive spent my entire day on the phone with them trying to activate my new cell phone after switching providers from fizz in addition to getting two new phone plans and an s22 and iphone 13. the delivery service they use is terrible ... the delivery person came at 801am didnt even both ringing the doorbell when i took the day off work to wait for the delivery .. we called the service and they by exception and only after escalating the call .after being on chat and calling videotron from 2 numbers was put on hold for 128 min agent only came back 2 times and didnt resolve the issue the manafer didnt resppect the call back time i had to call they close at 7pm hence why i think agetn 101305 bilal had me on hold till 648pm..i worked at bell retention for tv and i hate poor customer service ....gave us a whole 100$ for waiting my time ....we are so happy to be out of contract and cant wait till black friday to switch to virgin. dont give them your business as they dont care honestly and i had to insist the manager listen to the call ....doubt they did . honestly please dont give them your business you will be very dissatisfied and frustrated.

Internet is crap

Internet is crap, lags alot, we pay for 100 Mbps and check with internet speed test and give me 33 Mbps and when we call service they seems to say it is ok now but every day same issue... Bell is best option

Worst Service for the price charged

They charge you higher price. They did not mention anything about buying their equipment but they are literally selling their equipment to the customer which is of no use to any one. Their customer service agents are arrogant. They deserve 0 stars. Worst experience ever.

Bell Is 15 Times Faster...

I was recently informed that Bell can provide 15 times faster internet speed than I receive from Videotron. I called Bell to get a FULL price quote if I were to switch to them and then called Videotron to see what they would say about this.

I told Videotron that I do not understand why I would pay the SAME PRICE for 15 times LESS internet speed with them. I told them that I should only be paying $6 a month for the speed they are providing me (100mb). The woman I was talking to actually laughed when I said this to her, and then forwarded me to another representative. He proceeded to tell me a whole bunch of nonsense that was completely irrelevant in hopes that I was not informed enough to know what was really going on. He was mistaken. I explained to him that I've been a customer of Videotron for 20 years, but there is still nothing he could do, or was willing to do, about my case.

He did offer 400mb speed for $5 more than I pay now, but that is still only a quarter of the speed that Bell offers for the EXACT same price. It just makes no sense to stay with this company. They have competition, and it is legit competition that they refuse to recognize. The market value of internet speed in bits per second is $0.04 (only 4 cents per bit speed), but Videotron thinks it's okay to charge $0.70 per bit? They really think it's fair to us customers to charge us 17.5 times MORE for absolutely no reason???

Terrible company and I will be moving on in a few months from them, once my contract on my phone is up.

By the way, this is far from the only issue I've had with them over the years. It has been HOURS on the phone with Customer Service per year just to keep them as honest as I could over the past 20 years. But now I find out that they aren't even giving me competitive service??? Goodbye!

Far from fantastic...

I cancelled internet connection in April, however they still charge internet fee on my invoice.

First I visited to a shop expecting a proof, however, they told me that cancellation is only accepted by phone call. Therefore I called them. A representative confirmed the cancellation. He asked about the modem equipment, then soon found I purchased one. Then in September, they still charge the internet fee on my invoice. I tried to see but cannot see my internet usage on the web at all now, which was able previously.

They told me that they don't have any record about my cancellation; also for the cancellation, I need to return the modem or pay 100.

If you cancel some services of videotron, I strongly recommend to record your conversation.

I still keep asking them to refund all my exceed payment and about equipment; if they agree with my claim, I will withdraw this comment.

Videotron - Amazing mobile service provider

I've been with Videotron for about 7 years now. I find the coverage equal to bell and reception is fantastic where I live in Manotick. You cant beat their prices ($130 +HST for 4 phones) and they don't slow your speeds down after high data consumption. Each time I've called their support number (3-4 times over the 7 years) my expectations have been exceeded. I see a lot of negative reviews on here and I simply cant understand why. I'm super happy with Videotron and highly recommend them.

Videotron customer service sucks.

Videotron owns Fizz mobile where I am a customer. I can't speak to any person, there's no company email address or phone number to call at Fizz mobile. I recommend you speak to Videotron about any problems you have at Fizz because Videotron owns fizz mobile. When you call Videotron the call center agent will try and tell you that "they can't help you because Fizz is a separate company" but explain to them that since Videotron owns Fizz Videotron must deal with the problem and if they can't help insist on speaking to their manager.

I miss Videotron

I had a great experience with Videotron. Super easy, great price and super nice people to deal with. I wish i could have stayed with them! They don't have coverage in my new house unfortunately.

Liars indeed

Liars indeed. They called the cops on me when I screamed that I can't take it anymore on the phone after yet another lie. No I wasn't killing myself, jerks, I was calling other companies. I thought videotron loyalty gave me a discount but it was cheaper elsewhere anyway. They changed the prices & appointment time without permission. Threatened to charge hundreds if I don't return the temporary mifi before I even get the internet installed with them. Weeks later, 12h on the phone, sanity broken, they gave me seizures from stress, called the cops for being fed up with their lies. Transfered me repeatedly until the service closed. Because no one was trained to do the job. Horrible.

Been with videotron for more then 25…

Been with videotron for more then 25 years , but what I don't understand is each year we have to call them up an re negotiate and waste our time like 45 minutes to 1 hour ! why don't they just continue our contract from year to year without having to call each year ? . and during our contract if they decide to increase it because of the crtc they just do it .. Seriously I still love this company . And the other issue is that you pay for a service that you haven't received yet but if you pass the payment deadline they charge you interest !!!

Been with videotron for over a decade…

Been with videotron for over a decade now. The internet has been sporadic at the best of times with high latency being an extremely common issue. However, this can be worked around and tolerated. What CAN'T be tolerated is the fact that my internet has an uptime of 70% at best, every day. I work remotely and I get cut out of my ability to work several times each day. The most laughable part of this is that, while being stuck using mobile data to do anything (in my own home, right next to my router, might I add), they will happily do two things :

1. Tell you that it's your fault and that it's not on their end, repeatedly saying they don't even need to check because they know it's not on their end.

2. Charge you for every minute of it.

The saying "You get what you pay for" can't even apply to Videotron ; they manage to both have the lowest prices and STILL be a scam. It's amazing how one company can be so indecent and incompetent.

BEWARE of calling in a technician, ridiculous fees...

They sent a technician to setup my modem, they mentioned that there would be a fee to setup modem.

My internet plan is 55$, they billed me 100$ for a technician, after taxes this is nearly 3 months of service worth in billing.

Had they informed me of the 99$ charge, I would of opted out, now they refuse to credit the amount.

What a bunch of crooks! Very Anti-Consumer practice!

Both Videotron and Bell are frigging horrible service providers!
