Polly is a very anxious dog especially when visiting new places and of course the vets. The time that has been spent by the vet nurses and vet Gaynor has paid dividends and Polly is now much calmer.... See more

The standard of care and treatment is exceptional.
I live almost an hour’s drive away from this veterinary practice but wouldn’t go anywhere else. The staff are lovely and my dog seems to genuinely enjoy her infrequent visits. You are given all the information you need to make an informed choice and it is communicated clearly and honestly.

From the moment you walk into the spacious and clean reception area and you and your pet are greeted by the friendly reception staff you know you are in a professional environment. The nurses and vets clearly like animals and take time to explain clearly what they are doing and their views as to the issue
Caring Vet Practice
Whenever I take my dog to the village vet at Crosby the vets and vet nurses treat her like royalty. I believe that they all have her good health and welfare in mind and try to find the best solution for my dog’s issues.

We absolutely wouldn’t go anywhere else. The care they provide is 1st class.
Caring, professional, likeable, friendly, trustworthy
The vets are knowledgeable and professional, they take care to explain as much as possible (in easy to understand language), offering alternative approaches and promoting a dialogue with you until you can agree the best approach to take. I have been visiting Village Vets for several years and I’m so happy with them. They really care, and you never feel pressured into a course of treatment that you feel might not be appropriate. In particular, the dogs that come here are happy and excited, I’ve never seen a dog (in the waiting room) in an anxious state. There’s a real “family feel” to this practice, the veterinary nurses and reception staff are all very friendly and welcoming, frequently coming from behind the reception to interact with pets and owners alike, fussing, and being cheerful. They’re the real heart of this practice (both at Formby and Crosby). Many times, the vets are with the other staff behind the reception desks having chats, it’s like they’re all friends! They have my total trust.

From the minute you sign up nothing is too much trouble. From the very helpful & friendly reception team to the vet nurses and the vets. Everyone is very knowledgeable, understanding and caring both to you and your pet.
Very good Practice
Friendly staff in reception, veterinary nurses and vet pleasant and helpful. The vet Megan Davies was brilliant. She is very friendly, knowledgeable and patiently explains the treatments and costs.
Highly recommended
We are more than regular visitors to Village Vets with our 2 Frenchies. Every member of staff at Crosby and Formby is friendly, helpful, compassionate and professional. Our dogs are known and fussed over, which is what every pet owner wants to see.
The surgeries are modern, attractive and offer a wide variety of treatments. One of our dogs has recently had K Lazer treatment on his skin which was amazing.
The VIP Club is the best value and provides peace of mind particularly knowing consultations are included in the monthly fee. The out of hours Vidivet service is also a huge bonus and can prevent a costly visit to an out of hours vet.
I have recommended Village Vets to all my dog walking friends and will continue to do so.

Great service
All the staff are so lovely, and they always make a big fuss of Penny when she comes in. It's really easy to get an appointment, and it's always very clean.
Always a great experience
I have always had great experiences at Village Vets … the receptionists are kind, thoughtful and helpful, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Of course, the most important aspect is the care and treatment of the animals - which is unfailingly honest, caring and professional. Thank you!

As always a great reception and fantastic service. I would not go anywhere else
Village Vets go the extra mile
All the staff at Crosby are immensely kind as well as professional and knowledgeable. They have gone the extra mile in respect of both our dogs, providing emergency appointments and infinite care and attention. As both are becoming quite elderly, they have really benefitted from the treatment they have received. We could not recommend Village Vets highly enough.
Excellent Service
Reception staff are excellent both on telephone and in person. The surroundings, the "feel" of the place is friendly, laid back and calm - my cockapoo Martha actually goes in with a wagging tail. All the vets we have seen are excellent - kind, professional, thorough, and knowledgeable - Martha particularly has taken a shine to Christina. Although we saw Ben on Monday and he is very lovely. Martha was very cooperative during her examination - I think my little Martha has a "vetish" for vets 🤫
Really friendly practice
Really friendly practice, never feel rushed in appointments. The vet always listens and is considerate. As being our first dog we have limited knowledge. No question is ever an issue even my really silly ones. Appointments are always made where possible to provide continuity of care.
Helpful and great service
Always willing to help and squeeze you in on short notice if they can, wonderful team who truely do care for your pets, always understanding and willing to help.
10/10 will always reccomend
