Scammed two time
I'am writing this to express my deep dissatisfaction with your so-called "buyer protection." In practice, Vinted offers no real protection against scammers. The term "buyer protection" is highly misleading.
When a dispute arises, VINTED always choose the easiest way out instead of conducting a proper, thorough investigation. As a result, scammers are rewarded and honest buyers are left disadvantaged.
I want to make it clear that I will never, ever buy anything through Vinted again. Your platform is far too vulnerable to fraud, and as a buyer, you are completely powerless.
I strongly advise others against buying anything via Vinted.
This writing is to express my extreme dissatisfaction and concern after a very bad experience on VINTED platform. I believe I have been scammed two times,and your team has failed to properly address the issue.
First scammer;
What happened:
I purchased a Samsung S22 Ultra with a broken glass screen. The original advertisement showed two phones for sale:
An S22 with broken glass and other
with a broken motherboard both 512 GB storage
I agreed to buy the S22 with broken glass. The seller sent me a Vinted payment link, which I paid without issue.
What I received:
When the phone arrived, it turned out to be an S22 with only 128 GB of storage — not the phone I agreed to buy, and not matching the description I based my purchase on.
What I did:
I reported the problem to the Vinted team. They asked me to send a photo of the phone I received, which I did.
VINTED response:
To my shock, Vinted replied that the photo I sent is "consistent with the advertisement description." Vinted team has shown absolutely no willingness or responsibility to actually understand my problem. You completely ignored the core issue: I received a different phone (128 GB) than what I believed I was buying (phone with 512GB)
I expect Vinted to take responsibility as a platform and protect buyers from fraud. Currently, it feels like you are protecting the scammer instead
The second time I was scammed was when I bought an iPhone 16 Pro Max. The phone I received turned out to be a fake. When I confronted the seller about this, they immediately sent me a return request.
To my surprise, the Vinted team told me that I had returned a different phone than the one I received. They made no effort to understand the reason for the return even no question about how a conclude that the phone fake is and why the seller accept with out any questions te retour the phone.
I want to thank the VISA Card lawyer -without them, I would have lost €788.15 euro.
My advice: never, ever, ever buy anything from Vinted. Be very careful and don't trust "buyer protection" ."VINTED Buyer protection" is highly misleading.

I've requested they show me a bank statement, showing they've transferred the amount into my bank account.
As reply, the ticket got ended, stating they've done what they could, but I'm not getting my money.
It's probably to no avail, but I'll check on the website of the police, as it is theft and I have the proof, I'm just not willing to sent Vinted my private bank statements if two months. They can check they're own account.

Started fun. Selling something, getting money into your Vinted wallet and spending that on Vinted again (in my case, as you can also have it paid into your bank account).
The first month it went rather quick. Money being paid by Vinted, as soon as the buyer has excepted your item.
After a month, Vinted started to pay within 2 days, also stated in their email, as "at the latest on *date* and *time*". They indeed didn't pay a second sooner.
In April I bought something described as black, but was blue. Went thru the proper channels to deny the item. I would get fully imbursed, and within 5 days. Straight away I got a message the money was paid. This was on 01/05/2026. I waited a couple of days. Nothing. I contacted Vinted via chat, as that's the ONLY way. Response was they still had 25 days by law. That's now run out and for days I'm in a back and forth battle about how I have to prove I've not got the money. Every time I sent another screenshot of my bank account, I get a reply they need 'so and so' shown on the image, that's happened 4 times now. I'm getting nowhere. Plus you can only sent screenshots via your images, but they are now requesting 2 MONTHS of bank statements, showing everything! I kid you not.
I can't fight Vinted as a mere customer.
So to not bore you all even more: it's fun, till something goes wrong. Vinted it's KOPERSBESCHERMING is clearly not protecting you from Vinted itself.
Terrible experience — lost package, zero accountability.
Vinted generated a wrong shipping label that sent my package to the wrong address. I followed every instruction correctly, this was entirely their system's fault. Despite that, I received no apology, no explanation, and no attempt to investigate or recover the package.
Customer service is virtually unreachable. After a month of trying, I got nothing, no response, no resolution, just silence. It feels like their attitude is "your problem, deal with it" even when the mistake is clearly on their end.
Avoid if you're sending anything valuable. When things go wrong, you're completely on your own.

This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had.They blocked my listing for absolutely no reason. I provided every single invoice, shipping label, and photo required to prove the item is 100% authentic, but they completely ignored me. When I relisted the item with all the proof attached, they banned my account entirely!To make matters worse, I was still waiting for a refund because a scam seller refused to ship an item I bought. It is disgusting how they protect fraudulent scammers while banning honest people who follow the rules. Never again!

They block your account for no reason and steal your money. Even if you contact them to claim what is rightfully yours, they keep replying with the same automated response. Be careful and protect yourselves from being scammed by this app.

I bought a new Ralph Lauren shirt for €30 and it got lost. I got my money back, but now I would have to buy the same shirt in the store for €129.95. I told them that I would think it would be fair, from a customer service perspective, if they could give me a voucher, because I was very happy at first and now I am very disappointed. I have also referred people to them.

I have been a Vinted user for a long time and have many reviews, all with a 100% positive rating.
I listed a pair of shoes that I purchased from De Bijenkorf, but my account was blocked for alleged fraud.
I contacted Vinted and provided them with the invoice for the shoes, the order confirmation email from De Bijenkorf, and the shipping email showing that the shoes were delivered to me. In other words, I sent all the evidence proving that the shoes are authentic.
In the end, I only received an automated response, and they refused to reopen my account.
I used to hear stories about Vinted blocking accounts and keeping people’s money, but I did not believe them. Now that I have experienced the same problem myself, I understand why many users feel that this platform is unfair and treats sellers unjustly.

I have been using Vinted for several years. Not for mega sales profit but because I am looking forward to something or no longer fit / wear. I've never had a problem with a salesman. Vinted is easy to turn on if something happens. If you agree with the terms and conditions and you read them carefully. Do you know how Vinted works and registers income from it? Sending parcels is easy and fast and easy to follow in the app.

Absolutely terrible company. No help form support, just AI messages and waiting for replies. I really cannot recommend vinted at all.
Account wrongfully banned
What a horrible experience. I set up a new profile, created several listings,invested a lot of time in taking photos of the items and ironing everything for good display, only to get banned after 30 minutes.
Vinted AI accuses me of selling counterfeit products. I have asked their customer support multiple times to please inform me which listing is problematic so I can submit proof that the item in question is not counterfeit. Instead, I receive generic AI responses. The app wasted so much of my time and also resources going into preparing used clothes for sale. It's very disappointing and I'd not recommend anyone to use the app based on the experience I just had.
