First box was terrible

First box was terrible. Poor quality toys, not Halloween them as it suggested. One of the food items was for a dog! Have thrown most of the box contents away.

I have cancelled my subscription but am very nervous, based on other reviews here, that they are going to continue to take money.

Impossible to cancel and not worth the price

Just as so many have said before me. They make it impossible to cancel and support ignores you. Will be contacting my bank on this matter as I was giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Don't recommend at all

Don't recommend! you will wait your orders for months!! boxes don't come in right time, very poor goods inside, if you order all things separately from amazon, it will even cost you less! I checked. Also, customer support ignores you. And most terrible - cancellation process is made super difficult (there is no automatic button etc) and they do everything so customer can't easily cancel the subscription. disgusting

I love vivacats

I love vivacats. My cat thoroughly enjoys his treat box every month, he will not part with his little toucan toy in the box from july. I had a few issues with my address and the staff were so helpful and really quick in replying and solving the issue. Thank you!

Didn't realise I was locked-in to a contract

I signed up via an Instagram offer and, stupidly, didn't see that it was for a 12 month contract. I've lost my job thanks to Covid and I'm now stuck receiving a box of stuff my cat doesn't like (never heard of any of the brands) and paying for it. It's entirely my fault for not reading the small print but I've never come across a subscription box like this and now I'm stuck paying for a service I don't even want :( Learnt my lesson for next time. Steer clear if money is tight.

Go to the pound shop Don’t order vivacats

I signed up for the trial box (which was discounted) my cat is picky but thought if she liked the products I would continue getting the subscription. They took money twice in 1 week - once for the discounted first box then a subscription payment - I had yet to receive 1 box! They refused to cancel initially. I pointed out that contracts and distance selling I had 14 days to cancel. They accepted this (I have emails to prove this) they then said I would have to pay the additional cost for the trial box. They keep taking monthly subscriptions. Trading standards agreed they were acting in an underhand way and my bank refunded me the subscription cost - I said I would pay for the discounted first box as I wasn’t as dishonest as they were. Vivacats continues to take money and my bank keeps refunding, I have now got a new bank card or they would keep on stealing my money. Avoid,

Poor Treatment of Customer

Keep taking payments, website won't allow me to cancel. My 3 cats will not eat the dog biscuits which have been included more than once. No response to email about toy which was badly made.

I wish I had read the reviews first

I wish I had read the reviews first. What a scam. Got the trial box for £6 and it was ok because the things inside were probably £1 each and there were 5 I think. No bargain, and certainly not worth £20. I did not agree to a subscription at all, there was an option when I got the box to join to a 6 or 12 months subscription WHICH I DID NOT. They have now taken payment, not a reminder, nothing, they took payment for something I did not agree to. Went into the website as if I subscribed to something surely there is an option to cancel subscription. Guess what, there isn't, is not even in their FAQs!!! I have emailed them, let's see how long till they answer. They are clearly not answering comments here or on Facebook which does not give me any confidence...

The box is worth £5... AVOID

The box is worth £5 I got 1 toy and 4 treats for my cat. Cancelled as soon as it arrived, unfortunately the next one had already been charged to my account, no refund options. Terrible company avoid at all costs.

AVOID AT ANY COST... DO NOT APPROACH

This service is absolutely foul. I ordered a trial pack for £4 sound good. so I wait and wait and wait. Nothing then to my astonishment £19.00 is withdrawn from my bank account in spite of my requesting cancellation from customer care.

Customer care is awful and their attitudes are foul they just ignore my response messages and just came back with the same answer. I said I did not want the box they just said you should have canceled. however I did cancel way before.

So at this point no boxes and £23 down. I received my tracking notice from Royal Mail okay so this is for the £19 box, I ask if I return to sender then can I get a full refund I get a response and I have to pay my own way to Spain for £7 I might as well keep the box. However on the box when it finally arrived has a UK return address Ludicrous!

You think this is where it ends. but No! the items in the box all added up to £6.45 NO WHERE NEAR £19!!!!!!!

So all in all NEVER EVER EVER Go to VIVA CATS OR VIVA DOGS!!!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.....

Horrendous experience with this company, seriously advise people to AVOID buying anything from them.
Received my sample box on the 30th June and was seriously disappointed by it's contents, they were of cheap quality and unsuitable for my 4 month old kitten. I could have bought better quality from the Supermarket for under a pound.
On July 1st they charged me £19.90 for a 2nd box, without my permission! They told me when I contacted them I had subscribed to a monthly box, I had NOT!! Furthermore how can you subscribe to a service when your trial box arrives 1 day prior to the charge being taken for £19.90, what a scam!!?? I emailed them and told them I didn't want the 2nd box they had fraudulently charged me for and wanted a full refund. They messaged me back telling me I signed up for a subscription service and I should have cancelled before the 26th June if I didn't want July's box (I'm not sure how you can cancel something you didn't sign up for!!) I ordered a trial box NOT a subscription!! They refused me a refund but told me they'd cancelled my Subscription for after the July box. As such I've contacted my bank who are doing a chargeback and putting a block on any other transactions from this company.

Definitely AVOID at all costs!!!!!

**Update as of 21st July the 2nd box I was charged for has never materialised so it was clearly a scam!!

Absolutely shocking customer service

Absolutely shocking customer service. Trying to cancel subscription and they don't give you accurate information to do this. The box contents were awful, specifically asked for boxes for kittens and got contents for a fully grown cat which is of no use to me and my 14 week old kitten. It definitely said I could cancel at any time but they are now saying I signed up for 6 month membership. Awaiting email confirmation of exactly what is required to cancel, will take advice and contact my bank though to stop all payments. Shocking company, avoid.

SCAM

As below- you sign up for a trail box no confirmation email and before you know it they’ve taken £20 out your account for another box before you have even received your first box. Boxes are filled with cheap products you wouldn’t even find in the pound shop. Impossible to cancel so you have to go through your bank.

Absolute scam BEWARE

Absolute scam. This company will take your money and run! I ordered a trial box for February. It didn’t arrive and they blamed Royal Mail. I told them to cancel it on the 5th March. 6th March they agreed. Next thing I get a box from them at full price. Same story as everyone else. They won’t cancel it. I’ve had 3 boxes been charged for 5. They now want a cancellation fee to cancel my subscription! But I do not trust them to stop taking money from my account. You can’t delete your account because it’s impossible to get back onto. I signed up for a monthly account got not email confirmation and now they say it’s a yearly account! The customer services is appalling. The whole company are rotten. Cheap rubbish that costs about £5 at best. Nothing like the photos. And you’ll be paying forever as far as I can tell!

No complaints here!

I signed up for the trial box following seeing an ad on Facebook. I didn't get a confirmation email which concerned me some. I then found this page and was horrified. Fearing the worst I emailed viva cats to cancel immediately. Not fifteen minutes later I had a response confirming cancellation. Today my initial box arrived as promised. Cats seem to like it. Possibly a little expensive but very convenient... Thinking of resubscribing!
