So much for communications ! I now live in Portugal and have Vodafone to provide my landline and internet service. I agreed to a 37 Euro a month deal. However last month I was billed for 52.20 Euro... See more

Charged me €500. Never delivered my phone and refuses to refund me.
S****y company
The agents over the chat close if you are 30s away without replying but they can be 20m without providing feedback. Also, they charge without writing in the T&C but when you tell them what they did wrong you are a piece of sh** for them and they will treat you like sh**.
Best home internet provider in Portugal…
Best home internet provider in Portugal without a doubt. Can't say the same for mobile services though.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. I called Vodafone support and was left waiting for 25 minutes and then I was charged 12€ for that call.
I don't recommend Yorn or Vodafone to anybody.
Absolutely horrible and amateur…
Absolutely horrible and amateur service. I have requested additional pricing information regarding my local contract via emails with their customer support. They handed the case over to some other department next day. After 6 days, i received text message saying they could not reach me following up on my request to terminate the contract. No missed calls from them that day, no contract termination request from my side at all. Next day, i tried to call their help line but gave up after 3 calls - 20 mins waiting each. Next day in the morning, I found out that both of our mobile numbers stopped working. So calling the help line again, got through and their agent informed me that the numbers were deactivated. (??) I was so confused and confirmed i dont want to reactivate the numbers anymore after such experience. No further comments from her, she just said OK. Few hours later, another email from Vodafone saying that i have to pay 800 EUR penalty for early contract termination. This is still ongoing issue, still awaiting their response. I would never imagine this happening in 2020. Avoid Vodafone Portugal at all costs.
Vodafone Portugal
Vodafone Portugal.
Vodafone Portugal. A bunch of incompetents, who continue to add extra internet packages that I didn't authorize, even when I expressly said I didn't want to have any mobile data. I try to call the toll free numbers and then redirect the call to paid. Online help is not with humans, but automated responses, then send me to my vodafone which will not let me access to cancel a service I did not ask for, but if it is to add a service (plus euros) it already works. It is incomprehensible and sad, as a company calls itself the best chain in Portugal, with the worst service I have ever seen. Unfortunately it's not possible to give a score of negative stars
Vodafone Portugal - Unacceptable
Took advantage of a stayover option offered by TAP AirPortugal, so would only be in LIsbon for 3 days. However, after being lost and stranded, I decided to go ahead and get my SIM card for traveling right away so that I wouldn't find myself in that position again. Went to a Vodafone store in a big mall, the clerk who helped me spoke perfect English. I made it clear that I was only going to be in Portugal one more day and needed data for several countries, which I named. We discussed phone/messaging, but as it would only work in Portugal, I declined that portion of the service. After Portugal, I flew to Madrid. SIM card did not work. Stopped at a Vodafone in Madrid to see if I could get some assistance. The clerk here was rude and absolutely no help. I tried to explain the issue, but wouldn't even listen. Vodafone Portugal is a different company and I would have to call them. I tried to explain that I couldn't call, the phone didn't work and I did not opt for the phone/messaging option. Asked for a number (not knowing how I would call), but couldn't get me a number and would not call for me. Went again the next day, this time I spoke with a female clerk, same rude responses. Finally just bought a new SIM card in Spain. I had a friend accompany me to be sure there were no issues or mistakes this time. My SIM card worked, however, the clerk could not locate the correct App for Vodafone Spain, there were a ton that came up, so finally gave up on installing the App. I contacted Vodafone Portugal eventually, after hours of screwing around on the website trying to contact help in some way, through messaging on Facebook and was given an email address where I could reach someone. FB messaging response was also rude. I didn't have roaming, nothing they could do. I explained that I was supposed to have roaming. They couldn't help me. The website was impossible to find a way to contact anyone. Chat was not available in English, So I finally got a response to my email and was told that I didn't have roaming and that as they couldn't verify my conversation with the clerk, there was nothing I could do. I sent photos of my boarding passes for the next day asking why would anyone buy a SIM card for one day, did not matter. Finally went through my credit card, and they are pursuing it. I will never use Vodafone again. Even they couldn't figure out which App to download, rude service from Spain stores and Portugal customer service, complicated website to ever find help or contact anyone. Obviously the customer does not matter to them, and it almost seems like their intent is to take advantage. If they are all different companies, they shouldn't share the same name and give the impression they are related in any way.
Will never ever again use Vodafone here, or in any other country.
Just moved to Portugal, and this is the most awful phone service I've used in my long history of using phones in different countries: Spain, England, Japan, Canada, and now Portugal.
Where to start? Bought a brand new Huawai phone at Fnac, Baixo Chiado (and that's another story, coming soon!)
The vodafone next door seemed the logic place to get me online as soon as possible, as I need to find apartment, be in contact with my new job. etc.
- First: The vodafone app for portugal it's IMPOSSIBLE to install.
after asking portuguese colleagues (tech savvy, this is a computer games company I just joined)
As a result, my balance run out and I'm out there with no data and possibility to reload
Went to a vodafone store, in Oeiras. After waiting 30 minutes in line to get in (I KID YOU NOT)
I ask the (very nice and competent guy) to install the app for me. It took him a good 25 mins to get it done. Again, I'm not making this up.
So he shows me how to get to the app bit where you reload.
Nice
Next day, I'm home right now trying to reload with Paypal >>> NOPE
Credit card? >>>> NOPE
Maybe I need to enter my payment details ahead of time. OK!
When I try to do that, THE DAMM ACCOUNT FOR FOREIGNERS IS ASKING FOR A PORTUGUESE NIF NUMBER
One word for Vodafone, sorry make that two:
F-U!!
On the most part not too bad, but...
On the most part it's not been too bad, for instance the internet has been quite fast, but in just three months they've disappointed me a few times now - first of all it took over 2 weeks from when I signed a new contract to them actually hooking me up at home, and more recently, they billed me for 49 euros when I should only be paying about 34! I've visited the local Vodafone shop about this twice and they seem to be struggling to resolve the situation and aren't clear how long it will take.
Besides... if you're about to get a new contract - they don't include taxes, so in my case it was 28 euros PLUS tax - which they didn't mention.
Terrible service
Terrible service! You end up paying always more. They activate offers that you don't ask for. The customer service does not exist. It takes days to deactivate offers that they start for you.
Worst service ever!
The advisors are slow, rude and disinterested in the customer issue. They do not do anything to help the customer more than send via chat some predefined templates. Customer service assistance from Portugal is the worst I have ever had in Vodafone or outside of it
Won't use again
Bought a card that was supposed to last 30 days, it stopped working after 27 days, despite having both data and calls left. No English option. And also discovered you can get other SIMs for less than half the price
I bought this card from their online…
I bought this card from their online shop, paid for it, it never works! I have gone to their official outlets for 8 times, and every time I went there, I was asked to wait for 24 hours. After each of the 24 hours and messages of promises from the text, nothing happened. I tried calling their customer service, asked me to wait for 2 hours, also nothing happened! Such a waste of my money, Vodafone is nothing but scammers!
We spend over 1000 euros a month and we…
We spend over 1000 euros a month and we have to pay for the equipment I will be changing
vodafone refuse to cancel my contract free of charge even when they can't service me.
i subscribed a year ago to an internet contract with Vodafone with a 24-month break clause. i am now moving to another area of Lisbon where Vodafone don't provide coverage, but they are still asking me to pay 300 euros of penalty for early cancellation of the contract. terrible terrible customer service. Go with Nos or MEO, they are a lot better!
I purchased a vodafone pre paid sim…
I purchased a vodafone pre paid sim specifically to call an overseas number. Got charged €10 and it all went in 2 minutes.
What a rip off Vodafone.
Disappointing
The quality of the internet is really shaky. However, the big problem is that customer service isn't interested in solving it. They just passed me around to another person on the phone, none of whom wanted to help.
It's somewhat ironic that they advertise "super fast fibre internet" but then say that in the actual contract "they don't guarantee the specified service" (e.g. 100 mbps download and upload speed).
Choose one, false advertising is not helping you.
absolute rubbish disgusting
The worst simply the worst I have…
The worst simply the worst I have problem in the internet and they don't want to fix it!
They treat us as stupid people in the recruiting process
They send an email that the subject is “Good News” but the text is something like: “Good news, you were not select, but we encorauge you to keep looking for other opportunities at Vodafone”. This is the most stupid way to communicate that you didnt pass. What are they trying to do? Make us create expectations and then trick us?
