Typically a great company to work with. The software is easy to use but the integration with Amazon is troublesome and the connection breaks every couple months. This cause delays in shipping which is a HUGE deal when selling on Amazon. We have found a way around it but will likely look into switching if this does not improve.

Volusion helped to make building my website easier
Volusion helped to make the complexities of an online business more simplistic. Representatives were able to help me develop and build my website with ease. I would definitely recommend Volusion.
Cart contents are lost between sessions
Not a great platform. My biggest gripe is that my customers cannot keep the contents in their shopping cart between sessions, or across devices. We sell wholesale and our buyers fill their carts over time and then check out. This is a real deal breaker for us. We're in the process of converting to Shopify.

the excellent customer service has made my choice to go with Volusion so worth it. however some assistants on the live chat were not that helpful in assisting with some technical issues. other than that, great platform to grow and manage an online store.
Volusion Store
Good product, decent customer service. Understand not all Store scenarios will fit in a standard product, but most are covered, They do take customer feedback for feature updates to help bring better content in the future. Not a five star as they are still working at bringing some of their features up to date to better stay in line with today's world and it just takes time but they are getting there.
10 year customer from 5 star to 3 star
Many years ago I started using Volusion when I searched for an ecommerce solution it was the best out there. One of the reasons it was the best was because it had amazing tutorials that showed you how to use the website and gave you insight to everything to do with ecommerce back then it would be a 5 star review
The reason for a 3 star
In the past 2 years they changed there help system so now the tutorials and all help buttons in the software go to dead links. They just completely tossed all the old good information that helped new ecommerce customers it was all still relevant today. Even the articles that explained every data field in the software all help buttons go to dead links the information is all gone so if you have never used Volusion before you will have a hard time.
What the company does not understand is they have made there users be more dependent on the support team to answer simple questions. Since the support team is so busy they take a long time to get back to answer these simple questions. This costs the company more money by not having all the orginal help articles and since customers can not help them selves they have to wait on support.
If management from Volusion reads this then listen to a 10 year customer and make this a priorty to get your help database fixed or turn the old one back on there was nothing wrong with it. Your new support system you must see as an improvement it is not it has only about 1% of the information as before, have you ever actually used it? Go to one of the add product pages and pick any of the ? mark helpers they take you to the home page of the support page not to any helpful article like before. The whole website all the ? marks go to dead links, 10 years ago these all went to indepth information. I can only imagine what happened to the number of incoming support calls the day you took down the old support information. It must have went through the roof. Then to curb that you added chat which is cool but not if there is nobody on the otherside of the chat line. If you get soembody they will help and will be apologetic about the dead links. If you are in the business of offering website services to customers and your product/website has a bunch fo deadlinks then you need to fix them. (Let me explain they are not true deadlinks they all go to the same Support home page, not to the article that was written to help you with the datafield or items you are working on like before. The old articles are all gone you can not even find them even though the website tells you to read x article there is no article by that name in search, they just dumped years of work.)
So if you go to there website and look the markeitng materials will not have dead links but sign in and use the system/product and pick any of the helpers and it takes you the same support page, no help.
This is something you should have left alone and took you from a 5 star company to a 3 star company..
Online store
Adding store categories, products and overall store use it's easy and very convenient. Customer service though has decrease dramatically this past year, if you want to chat with a representative you might have to wait a few hours to get a reply. Once you get the chance to speak with a representative you should be fine because they are very helpful and really care about providing and excellent customer service. I would like to thank Jeff R for his excellent customer service and Dan for helping me improve the website design

Things in Volusion are harder than they should be about 80% of the time. Don't get me wrong you can still get the job done, but there always seems to be a easier way more apparent than the way that it actually needs to be done in Volusion.

The Volusion product is very easy to operate once the site is set up. Technical support is not often readily available, although staff is very helpful once contact is established. Pricing for additional services (seo, design, etc.) is high. Third party companies will do the same work for 1/3 of the cost.
Overall a Strong Ecom Platform
Overall a strong ecom platform providing almost-always perfect transactions. UI is intuitive and quick. Improvements to the system are frequent and generally positive, although sometimes not completely thought out - resulting in system errors that are frustrating for "shop owners" whose businesses rely on the platform.
Hosting and uptime are great. Live CS support is available with Volusion, which is also helpful.
Look...what I find since signing up May …
Look...what I find since signing up May of 2017 and taking the months to build my site to August 2017 launching it only to learn by January 2018 that I don’t know how to bring business to my site. And discover, a SEO expert will work on SEO or what it takes to bring business without guarantee for $800+ per month...where does Volusion think I can come up with that amount on a monthly basic’s and no guarantee’s!
So now I find myself researching courses, short courses mind you don’t won’t take my rent payment and other needs to stay warm and safe.
A system needs to be in place for one on one training for me to learn the key words, the applications, the etc.... You guys should know what I am trying to say!
Nothing was mentioned for me (us) to make money...this is where I am at.
What I don’t like is paying someone to do something and I am not learning from it....I am not doing it, I am not having someone by (side by side) me coaching me through the steps to SEO Meta Data, etc....

Top notch platform for small business
After spending a great deal of time shopping around, I decided to go with the Volusion platform because of their modern, clean templates and self proclaimed excellent support. I am so glad I did, as these guys have been brilliant! Excitedly nearly about to launch my new site 😄
