Just recently changed to Vonage from Everyday because of a lack of effective support.
Vonage have been brilliant in thier support throughout the change over. Had a problem with porting our number but this was due to Everyday.
If the support and performance continues I will have no hesitation in recommending Vonage

Everything works OK, but customer service is appalling. I've been charged for receiving a call from an 0845 number - somebody texted my landline and Vonage decided to charge me for it, not part of the agreement. OK mistakes happen, but they refuse to put it right. It's only pennies, but it's the principle. I've then been charged twice because Vonage messed up my billing. They decided to stop accepting American Express but didn't bother telling their customers and so my payment did not go through. Worse than that, when I phoned up to ask why payment wasn't taken, they told me to contact Amex. When I contacted Amex, they told me Vonage had cancelled their agreement with Amex - customer service should not have directed me to Amex and so wasted a lot of my time.

Switched from VM to Toob, who recommend Vonage for Home as the VOIP provider. It took a little time to receive our Vonage box, then a week for VM to transfer our phone number, but obviously that's not all under Vonage control. During that period, their support staff responded promptly to queries. Box installation is trivial - just plug it in to your router! Call quality is great (NB Toob much better than VM for latency and packet loss). Vonage website is easy to navigate and I really like being able to see all your calls/listen to voicemails on the computer. The option to email a transcript and recording of each voicemail to your phone is brilliant. I'm sure it's possible to find a cheaper VOIP option, but if you want excellent functionality with no hassle, Vonage seems to be a good choice.

My existing contract with Plusnet for Broadband and phone was coming to an end and they were unable to give me any faster broadband than about 40mb/s download ,upload was about 8mb/s.Also Plusnet will not be supplying a Voip telephone service ,only their parent company BT.
So having decided to have Toob full fibre installed at £ 29/month for 940Mb/s both download and upload,I decided to go to Vonage for their 1000minute 16Hours) per month for landline & mobile call contract £ 9.99..The ordering was very easy on line to setup an account and monthly payments.( Direct debit or Credit Card). I also used their telephone customer help to clarify the correct procedure to Port my existing landline number I have had for 53years.! They confirmed to me to do nothing and that they will contact Plusnet once they had my Plusnet account detail's.Four days before the switchover scheduled for 18 th September the Vonage ATA telephone interface adaptor arrived .All of the Vonage instructions in their supplied booklet, for getting the phone up and running was very simple and in plugging the ATA adapter into the router it sprang into life with three blue back lite icons.Power,Internet & Phone.. There was just one problem ,having set the phone to accept no call waiting which activates a Voice mail to their answer messaging service, when you get another caller whilst already on a call, there was no "stutter tone" or the adaptor flashing phone icon .acknowledging you had a 1571 (in BT terms). I reported this to Vonage technical fault dept and a lovely lady did all of the basic tests their's and my end ,and then elevated it to theit system engineers,A replacement ata module was sent to me ,but the fault still existed.
The problem was fixed in a couple of days after their engineer did a system change..A brilliant customer service and every time I phoned, it was answered within less than a minute.,No hanging around at all .
I thoroughly recommend Vonage for a great Voip telephone package and value,( there are plenty to choose from),My daughter has also signed up to Vonage and she had the same "no Voice mail indications.I thoughly recommend Vonage for their Voip phone ,Brian Wright.

I am very happy with Vonage, as I have many friends in both Europe and the United States and, in these days when communication costs have risen greatly and quickly, I can still enjoy good conversations over the telephone, with those friends, regularly.

Excellent and efficient service from a very helpful agent

Given clear instructions on set up and managing account. Like the fact that blue light services (if needed) automatically see my address and have twinned my home phone to my mobile so I am able to answer calls when away from home.

Excellent service and advice when starting off with Vonage. Haven't had any problems since I started using Vonage for our hame phone - 100% recommended. Suggest you get this in advance of the Openreach/BT roll out of VOIP - it will save a lot of angst I am sure!

Fixed our problem when we changed our internet service provider (ISP) and our phone connection was broken. Only took around 5 minutes to get back on line again.
Brilliant service and exceedingly cheap, thus value for money. Dependent upon your ISP, so make sure you have a reliable one or your phone will not work - LOL
You also get to choose whatever phone number you like and can select your area code - which is great for letting people know your location if you want to.

Recently moved from talktalk onto Premium Mobile 1000 plan at £9.99 a month. Requested to keep our old number. We received the kit the next day and the old number was ported within ten days. Set up was easy. No problem with quality of call. Excellent

I signed up to the Vonage home service 24 days ago. Despite several calls to the service team, incidents being raised and finally, in desperation, raising a customer complaint I still haven't received my box. The only useful communication that I have received from them is that they have transferred my old landline number. Whether it works or not obviously I have no idea!!
Update 27/08/2024. Still not received my box despite receiving an email promising to deliver last Thursday (21/08). Just to add insult to injury Vonage have now taken a second payment from me. I have escalated the issue once again and have been assured that this will be resolved in a few days but I have no confidence in this!!!

The members of staff were very helpful and patient when I set up my account as they talked me through how to do it from the start, this included choosing the most appropriate tariff as I shall only be making calls within the UK.

Recently changed from Virginmedia for our broadband (who do provide a VOIP solution as part of the deal) to LIT (who are MUCH cheaper, but no VOIP phone).
I'd used Vonage at work for years and found them great (as long as you're not on flaky wifi, unsurprisingly - wifi QOS is not great usually).
The box etc arrived promptly, my DECT Panasonic phone system (cable for the master set, wireless for 3 other sets in various rooms) worked straight away with it, porting the number from VM to Vonage worked faultlessly. No problems whatsoever with it, runs as smooth as a baby's bottom. My only slight regret is there's no software with the Home version to allow you to make calls from your PC using your webcam or headset, as there is with the business version; in actual fact, this isn't really a handicap, but it would be nice if they could bring this in.

*UPDATE 14/8 Vonage have asked Trustpilot to get more details from me so they can discuss the issue & verify the comments, or take down my review. The form includes request for a 'reference number' which does not exist (!) as well as my personal telephone number. I will be happy to provide all details of this genuine matter, if they or Trustpilot provide a legitimate method to do so. My email address is known by Trustpilot.
Awful. Contrary to payment information on website which clearly states DD's via Mastercard Debit accepted, my elderly mother is having to now cancel her account. (They must have persuaded her to use a credit card on inception, but streamlining finances to manageable system has required cancelling credit cards & using only current account.)
No call-back as promised last week & only found this out now. Also LOTS OF SCAM CALLS & VOICEMAILS TO NEW NUMBER!
The result means even more confusion & changing of numbers as we attempt to find more user-friendly communication methods for an elderly relative. Smartphones or nothing? Very poor.

We requested a new phone line but we have had no phone now for 10 days. We have already been charged. We’ve chased twice with no success and again today been told another 3-5 days before we receive a connection box. Very frustrated.

At last I got broadband, now I needed to keep my landline number.
Vonage were brilliant with signing me up, updating me regularly as to what was happening to my application. When the router arrived I got through to their technical department and they helped me through the setup process.
Brilliant team work all round. Thank you

In over 10 years I haven't had a problem until the other day when my very old unit stopped working and turning it off and on again didn't work. I rang the help desk and a lovely lady explained how to reset it and it is as good as new. Clear trouble free calls and would highly recommend Vonage.

We recently switched from EE FTTC Broadband with landline to NexFibre FTTP (Virgin Media). However, no VOIP service is currently available on VMs FTTP offerings.
We have no need for two broadband services to our house so chose Vonage to transfer the old landline to a more 21st Century solution. The Grandstream HT801 Analog Telephone Adapter was delivered very promptly, and we immediately tried our BT 4600 Analog DECT Phone with the adapter. The most important feature for this device with its call screening capabilities was to ensure Caller Display worked with it. It worked without a hitch dialling the temporary 0333 number our ATA had allowing the phone to ring when it is a known caller, and it went to screening when the caller is not known . It took one week from completing the Letter of Authority to getting our original landline number. We also got an email and text from EE to say the old FTTC broadband with landline had been cancelled (as the Letter of Authority made clear it would cease everything provided on the old copper line). Being able to make and receive calls when out and about via their app is also a very useful feature (I normally leave incoming calls disabled in the app unless it is needed).
If anyone is considering Vonage to keep their old landline where your broadband provider is not offering a digital voice service (or they charge too much for it), give Vonage a go!!!

Excellent service when I needed support. Not only was the help there, the member of staff phoned back to make sure the advice had worked, and that I was ok.
