Having success, responsive customer service

I like the wand and serum and had luck with improving my hair volume and thickness this last year.

I've had a good experience with customer service in that they helped me pause my subscription and also sent me two replacement comb attachments when one arrived broken in the initial shipment. I haven't tried returning anything which seems to be the main source of frustration for people.

Just Don't.

Since my previous very true review was removed. I'll just tell everyone not to do business with this company. Also, I now know the folks over at Vortex 100% read these reviews. They should spend more time responding to customer emails and less time removing negative reviews off the internet.

Since there has been a recent influx of 5 star reviews, I decided to give them another opportunity. I emailed customer support and they were, in fact, very responsive. We emailed back and forth for some time, and they addressed all my concerns. I initially contacted them because I was interested in canceling my order then returning the products that I purchased. Even though, they've been more forthcoming I've decided not to proceed with a return because according to their own Return Policy and what I was told via email it will have to be shipped back to an address in China. I don't fully trust that I would actually receive a refund so I rather keep the items. The 1-star review reflects my earlier experience with Vortex. It was very difficult to get in contact with them for about 2 months and that is never acceptable. Unfortunately, that's what broke the trust.

First, the Trustpilot email I received about the removal of my previous review stated, "vortexhaircare.com has flagged your review..." After review, Trustpilot took it down. Most likely because of my recommendation and name dropping a more reputable company. Therefore, Vortex did take part in the removal of my review. Second, there was never any correspondence between us that spoke about pending legal action against unauthorized sellers. Third, I have only been to the official website and have only corresponded with Vortex thru their official customer support. Please do better.

Fraud and Scam

This company is entirely fraudulent and engages in scamming. They refuse to honor returns. It has been six months since I initiated the return process, and they have stopped responding. A significant legal challenge is imminent for them. Avoid purchasing from them.

Still not refunded after months

I wrote a review in July, and they responded, so followed their instructions and I am still waiting for a responce it's nearly October.

Here was their response:

Thanks for reaching out. To help locate your return, could you please double-check that your carrier was given our correct warehouse address on the return label? Our system only receives packages that the carrier has marked “undeliverable” and sent back to us—if the address on the label was slightly off, the carrier may still be attempting delivery rather than returning it.

Because our Vortex Wands are high-value items, our warehouse holds any packages it receives until they’re officially scanned in as returned. If the carrier hasn’t reported a failed delivery and return in transit, we won’t see the package on our end.

Could you send us:
The full return address you used
The carrier name (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) and tracking number
Any status notes from the carrier (e.g. “Delivery attempted,” “Incorrect address,” or “Return to sender”)

With that info, we can coordinate with the carrier and our warehouse to confirm receipt and get your refund processed right away.

As noted in our previous response, refunds can only be completed once a returned item is successfully received and scanned by our warehouse. Because Vortex Wands are high-value devices, our warehouse holds all inbound packages until they are officially logged as returned. If a carrier has not marked the package as delivered, undeliverable, or returned to sender, it will not yet appear in our system.

In this case, we requested additional details so we could coordinate directly with the carrier and our warehouse to locate the return. Without confirmation from the carrier or a completed return scan, we’re unable to proceed with a refund, as the product has not been confirmed as received.

We understand how frustrating this process can be, especially when delays occur with third-party carriers, and we remain willing to assist once the requested information is provided or the carrier updates the delivery status. I'm trying to start the return process

I'm trying to start the return process, but they won't even respond to my emails, and there is no phone number to contact them with. Even if they do respond, I have zero faith that they will actually refund my money, based on many other reviews. Save your money! This is clearly not a trustworthy company. I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered, but sometimes shopping while tired leads to bad decisions.

BUYER BEWARE

This company is selling a product you can find on Ali Express for $70 at a price of $240+. When I tried to cancel the order before it was shipped, they told me it wasn’t possible (because the company doesn’t actually ship it, it’s a dropship item). They told me I could return it when I receive the item. I asked numerous times over a few weeks to explain the return process, to provide a label, and I got no response whatsoever. I continued asking how to return the item repeatedly with no reply. I am currently disputing the charge with my CC company. Absolute garbage company with some of the poorest customer service I’ve seen. Scam.

Complete scam

Complete scam! Ordered the comb close to 12 months ago. I received apologies emails and then they stopped. NEVER received one.

Save yourself the scam and the money! Unprofessional, did not follow through…so damn sad this happens. Any apology is to save face but they never deliver. Think about that…a customer matters at payment but never thereafter

DO NOT BUY!! SCAM COMPANY - AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

DO NOT BUY!!! ITS A SCAM!!!
Bought this for my girlfriend and wasn't satisfied with the product. Our problem is not with the product, but the customer service provided afterwards when attempting to return.
I was provided an address in China, and after 2 months of liaising with customer service, they went silent and stopped responding to my emails. They had all the tracking information and still unable to provide me with any updates on how the refund was progressing. My return was eventually shipped back to me from China, as the address bounced back and nobody was willing to collect it from the postal office. Vortex would have been aware of its status had they followed the tracking information that I had provided them. They have effectively stolen nearly £250 of my money on this product due to their unwillingness to support customers when and enable them to execute a refund as they said would be possible. I have been attempting to return since January, after purchasing in December last year and no progress has been made. This is wholly unacceptable for a company who claims to want the best for its customers, clearly a scam and a front to get money off people and ghost. AVOID AVOID AVOID

ZERO stars!

This company is a scam! I ordered the product on January 27, 2025. I finally received the product on February 21, 2025. I indicated I wanted to cancel the order the day after I ordered it but was told it couldn't be cancelled at that point but I could return it within 90 days for a refund. I shipped the product back to Vortex on February 24, 2025. The company doesn't provide return shipping, so I paid for trackable shipping (~$50). The package cleared customs in China on March 10, 2025. I have not received a refund to date. I reach out every week - you can only contact them by email - and ask when to expect a refund and until a few weeks ago I was told to be patient. Since then, I have not had a response. This company is fraudulent! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM!

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. I returned brand new product but had decided before it arrived that I didn't want it. So i followed the 90 day return policy, and returned the product with tracking a few weeks after it had arrived to me. The company required that I pay for the shipping back and they provided the tracking number back to China. The product has been sitting at customs in China for them to pick up for 4 months. I get blanket statements of 'we are working on it' when I check in. I've now opened a PayPal claim and hopefully they can help.

The issues is when you ask to return the product within the return window, I was told to ship it to a Chinese address provided to me by their customer service person. The reply they have offered is absolutely not accurate and they truly are a scam. Don't be defrauded over $200. You will never get it back if you aren't happy with the product.

Don't Get Scammed: My Vortex Haircare Warning

Vortex Haircare is operating a fraudulent business with abysmal customer service. I placed an order on January 16, 2025, and despite their stated 10-business-day shipping policy for the USA, I never received it. After numerous emails, I received only generic, unhelpful responses. On February 25th, tracking indicated delivery to a parcel locker, but I never received the package. Further emails I sent to support@vortexhaircare, including one receiving this promise on March 25th:

"Hi Meleni,

Thank you for reaching out, and I truly apologize for the delay in receiving your order. I completely understand your frustration, and I’m so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

I will follow up with our management to investigate the situation and determine the best resolution for your order. We’ll work on this and ensure we provide you with an update as soon as possible.

This is basically a scam.

This is basically a scam.

I returned my items after deciding it was not for me. A decision based upon unconfirmed science on this type of hair therapy and electrically stimulating other undesirable areas, like nerves, glands and neural receptors.

After returning the items (tracked) I have basically been ignored since November and still have not had my refund.

ZERO stars It took over 45 days to arrive. In the meantime I kept emailing them saying I wanted to cancel and wanted my refund. They keep your money and you will never see it again, no matter what. Their customer service is AWFUL, only reply once a week saying to be patient that the product was on its way. Now that it arrived, I want to return.
They told me that they do NOT provide a shipping label and gave me an address in CHINA to ship back! A total SCAM stay away from it.

It colors my hair but it smells like…

It colors my hair but it smells like medicine. I don't know why that smell is so strong and it stays like a medicated smell on my scalp and skin for a whole day but it does color. I would love it more if they could figure out how to not let it smell like a medicine cabinet.

While it arrived later than expected it…

While it arrived later than expected it did eventually come. 3 pumps do not suffice for the entier head. Does it cover? Some of the greys on my head are covered which gives a feeling of rejuvenated color, so yes. However, the whiter hairs I have near the ears do not get completely covered and some of them turn blonde. On the other side is that my weak points are the same as when I use regular dye without any chemicals. Seems like that area can only be fully masked using strong chemicals. I would personally not buy this again but for someone who has a few greys and does not want to frequently visit the hairdresser, this is a great product.

Buyers Beware

I ordered this product back on February 25, 2025. It was taking forever to receive it. My first initial impression of this company was that they are a scam. Because I was sending emails to their customer support team and was receiving slow responses, or none at all. I did a review on Trustpilot and immediately received a call from a guy name Jaylen who claimed to be the manager at Vortex. He explained to me why it was taking so long and even offered to give me “extras” like the hair serum for my inconvenience. He offered to keep track of the package. And when the package said it was delivered in their system, he updated me. He claimed the package was delivered on February 23 to my door. However I did not have it in my hands. I looked and looked and even knocked on doors and never found it. So Jaylen offered to not only send me another one, but he took the time to keep me updated when it was delivered. The package was delivered to my home this time as he promised. At first I’m thinking great customer service! However after finding out the original package was never delivered I do feel this company is skept.

Here’s the problem, the original package came from China. And upon customer service finally reaching out to me with a USPS number to track the original package, I did some further research. Come to find out the original package was NEVER DELIVERED. I confirmed this with the USPS number their customer support provided me.

I’m now stuck with a product I honestly no longer want. While Jaylen was trying to rectify the situation, the situation only appears worse. It’s the company that is fishy. Reviews that are only positives on their website. But when you come to Trustpilot you see people complaining about never receiving the product entirely, or receiving broken products. I haven’t even opened the package I received from Jaylen because at this point I want to return it for a full refund.

Another problem is they have you return the product to somewhere in HongKong. Lol And it’s YOUR responsibility if you want to return it.

I can’t say that this company is a scam. But BUYERS BEWARE. Please do your research on this company. And possibly go with another company that isn’t going to take you for your money and deliver broken or zero products.

DO NOT order from this company. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS. They claimed I received th product but it was not delivered to my address. The I reached out to them. They said they would look into it and either refund my money or send me the product again but then they GHOSTED me with multiple attempts to reach them. RUN as fast as you can and do not fall for tis SCAM

Vortex Wand Never Received, No Answer from Vortex Customer Service

UPDATE: I emailed the company again on 04/29/25 as requested in their response below and have still not heard back from anyone at the company - today is 05/18/25. Also, my particular order was placed directly on the Vortex website and definitely did “ship” from China, not from the US.

Ordered a Vortex Wand bundle for $237 on 12/01/2024 and never received it. Inquired with Vortex about tracking on January 10, 2025 as I was only given a foreign tracking number which still did not show delivery. All of a sudden, the day after my request, the tracking magically updated to showing delivered on December 31st and was advised by Vortex representative, Karl, to check with my local USPS hub and neighbors. I called USPS and as they did not recognize or have the ability to track the foreign tracking # provided by Vortex, I requested the USPS tracking number and received that from Karl several days later. When I called my local USPS delivery hub with the USPS tracking #, they advised that the tracking # provided by the Vortex was not associated with my address, but a different address several miles away from me (same city and zip code)! I contacted Vortex again to alert them and obtain the correct USPS tracking number and that is when their customer servicer representative, Karl, stopped responding to my emails altogether (they don't have a phone number to call either). Very frustrating experience - no product, no support and no refund!

Ordered product in January

Ordered product in January, I never received it. I set up payments with Affirm who is now hounding me to pay them for a product that clearly shows via tracking that it was never received. Vortex is not responding to my requests for credit. I wish I had read the reviews on here first. This is awful. I don't want the product at this point. I need my account credited.
