Solid tool that works well.
Solid tool that works well.
I have tried the tool to help me with some detailed reports I need to submit. The UI is very clean and intuitive to use, and the output is very good since it succeeds with its main mission: passing AI detectors.
I see that a lot of negative reviews seem to come more from unrealistic expectations rather than the tool's performance. That is why it's important to mention and warn that if you are using it for very specialized tasks, such as academic tasks or reports, research, etc, you will most probably still need to revise some parts of the generated text because there might be issues with grammar or context. I wouldn't suggest just copying and pasting the text without any review.
But overall, if you are like me and you are willing to put some effort and final input into the text, it will save you a huge amount of time and effort.

Bad Writing
While the text from the humanizer gets marked as 0% ai AI-generated, it's extremely incoherent and often loses the original message of the text or simply is grammatically incorrect

Review of Walter Write AI
Review of Walter Write AI
Walter Write does not work in the way it claims. In reality, it is causing more harm than help, especially for students. Many students are paying for this service thinking it will protect them from AI detection, but instead they are getting caught out and even disqualified.
From personal experience, the tool is unreliable. I tested a document that was written using ChatGPT. On Turnitin, the report showed 88 percent AI. I then put the same document through Walter Write. Their system stated it was 0 percent AI. After that, I uploaded the rewritten version back to Turnitin and the AI score only dropped to 73 percent. The writing also became weaker, more clunky, and less natural. So the quality went down, and the AI risk was still high.
This makes Walter Write feel less like a support tool and more like a trap. It gives students false confidence, and that confidence is leading to serious academic consequences. In many cases, it feels like a teacher detection agent rather than a student support tool.
The pricing makes this even more concerning. If even 1000 students are paying over £30 or $30 a month, that is a huge amount of money going somewhere, while the product itself is not doing what it promises. It is very good at taking money, but not very good at protecting students.
Overall, this application does not deliver real value. It risks student futures, lowers the quality of work, and creates a false sense of security. Based on real testing and outcomes, I would not recommend it.

Their statement below reads like damage control, not accountability.
You can claim ethical intent all you want. Real-world outcomes matter more than your mission statement. I tested your platform. Your system labelled the rewritten work as “100% human”. Turnitin flagged the same text at 73% AI. That is a measurable failure. Not interpretation. Not opinion. Data.
You describe your tool as supportive. In practice, it gives students false confidence and exposes them to academic penalties. That is not responsible design. That is reckless positioning. Students trust your reported scores. You know this. You benefit from this.
Walter tried to get my post removed, trying to get critical posts removed instead of addressing the core problem shows the priority. Control the narrative, not fix the flaw.
Price is not the main issue. Whether £9 or £30, the product still misleads. A cheaper false promise is still a false promise.
Calling honest user experiences “harmful” while ignoring verifiable inconsistencies is weak. The real harm is students paying for reassurance that does not hold up under institutional detection systems.
This software does not humanise writing in any reliable way. It creates a false sense of safety. You know the gap between your metrics and academic detection tools. You still market it.
People deserve clarity. Not branding language. Not vague ethics talk.
Paying for this tool is a risk. Students should know that before they hand over their money. The only person who benefits from this platform is the owner and how much he makes.

Scam
Honestly, I’m really disappointed with this system.
When it “humanizes” the text, it makes a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes — way too many. The sentences become weird or broken, sometimes even worse than the original. It doesn’t feel like proper English anymore.
Another big problem is the credits. Every time I try to test or recheck the same text, it keeps taking more and more credits, even if the text is still detected as AI-written. For example, I used around 7,000 words of original text, but the system took over 15,000 credits. That’s just not fair, especially when the output doesn’t even reach the goal.
Also, the colors in the results (white, yellow, orange, green) make no sense. Sometimes it says “100% human” but still shows orange and yellow parts. What do they mean? There’s no explanation anywhere. It’s confusing and unprofessional.
I even recorded a video showing the problem and sent it to support, but no real answer yet.
I think users deserve clear information, fair credit usage, and a tool that actually improves text without ruining it.

Stay away, scammy website that does not work
I tried this site to humanize a text flagged as AI, but the humanizer doesn't work. The text it gives you is meaningless, with random words and completely incoherent. Also, they don't give refunds, so it's basically a rip-off for a product that doesn't work.

Worst tool to use for ai detection
Not only did I use it once and stopped immediately as it got caught by copyleaks , gptzero etc, I forgot to cancel the subscription, got in contact with the team 2 minutes after I saw it renew and yet no refund at all. Other services at least provided a refund if not a partial refund . Horrible tool that changes the meaning of the whole paragraph/text and words to oblivion. Do not recommend and still want my refund back. Ridiculous.
Edit for the ignorant reply below:
The lack of reporting to you in the first place and the fact I only used it once is further proof I found your tool to be useless compared to those on the market. As for your shady terms when it comes to your dodgy refund policy it's exactly that. Seeing as you think I posted a negative review about your product because I did not get my refund is stupid and you're assuming. I was going to review it badly due to the shady refund policy, but thought I would also give me honest thoughts on the product .
It changes the sentences in a way that the work or paragraph becomes unrecognisable , putting random phrases that never existed or changing t so much it's unrecognisable . Furthermore it adds grammatical mistakes , add that with random words unrelated to the content at hand and of course it may show up as undetectable, which also , was not the case. Copyleaks, GPTZero and ZeroGPT as well as Sapling, 4 of the most trusted ai detectors either detected 25 to 90% with 3 of them being over 90% . This tool is as much of a joke as the sad refund policy is and the stupid assumptions you have made by writing down such a reply below.

Deceptive and hardly functional
Seems to utilise some kind of thesaurus program to seemingly change terms to synonyms arbitrarily. It always destroys the readability and semantic meaning of any text input.
Also, they lead you to believe that your text is checked for AI against other AI detection databases by showing checkboxes that confirm the text will not trigger turnitin, gptzero and other detection programs. This is not the case, if you submit the re-written text to any of these other programs, they easily detect it as AI.
This is highly deceptive. Only in the small print you find that they do not actually check with these other programs and instead only use their own algorithm.

Walter AI’s practices are unethical and, frankly, border on being a scam
My experience with Walter AI has been extremely negative, especially when it comes to their refund policy and customer support. I initially signed up hoping for a quality service, but the product did not meet my expectations at all. When I tried to get a refund after the first month because of the poor quality, I was told that I wasn’t eligible—despite reaching out right after an auto-renewal charge that I didn’t intend. It had been less than an hour since the payment, but they still refused, saying their 3-day refund policy only applies to the very first payment, never to renewals. This is never made clear upfront; their vague wording tricks customers into thinking they might be eligible, but in reality, almost nobody is.
To make matters worse, when I contacted customer support, I was promised help but never actually received any. The support team only responded with canned excuses or shut down the conversation, sometimes ignoring clear policy criteria that should have allowed a refund. This isn’t just my situation—many users have reported the exact same thing: misleading charges, terrible customer care, and a refund system designed to avoid actually issuing refunds.
Walter AI’s practices are unethical and, frankly, border on being a scam. I’ll be sharing my story with my friends in the academic YouTube community to ensure others don’t fall into the same trap. This service should be avoided by anyone who values honesty and transparency in business.

They won't let you use their API, even if you ask
I asked them several times to provide me their API access. Mentioning that as I'm in the tech industry, I could be of help. They refused. In any platform I worked with or founded, I've denied a user who wanted to be involved. That's a HUGE red flag from their leadership, culture, and team.

Disappointing results — be cautious before committing
I really wanted Walter AI to work, but my experience has been very disappointing. While the tool does seem to help content pass AI detection, it does so by changing words and phrases in ways that often don’t make sense or simply don’t fit the sentence. The result is text that feels unnatural and awkward — especially for website copy. If I came across content like this on a site, I’d honestly find it off-putting as a visitor.
To make matters worse, the refund policy is very restrictive. Even though the output was poor quality and unusable for me, I wasn’t eligible for a refund under their terms. Thankfully, I had only paid for a single month — but I nearly signed up for a year, and I would have felt very cheated if I had.
My advice: if you’re considering this tool, test it on a monthly plan first before committing to anything long-term.

Ban account without reason
It produces good content and AI detection rate, but they banned my account without any objective reason and didn't return the money I paid for subscription. Don't recommend this service because of that

Refused Refund Despite Meeting Their Own Terms. Avoid‼️
Walter Writes AI refused to refund my subscription even though I met the exact criteria they claim to honor. I didn’t use the tool at all during the billing cycle and reached out promptly to request a refund. Their own policy says refunds are possible if the tool hasn’t been used. Yet, they ignored that and fell back on generic excuses like “you forgot to cancel.”
I didn’t ask for a refund because I was unhappy with the results… I literally didn’t use the service. Instead of addressing this fairly, they shut down the conversation and refused to help. It feels like they rely on technicalities and canned responses to deny legitimate refund requests.
If you’re thinking of subscribing, be warned: they don’t stand by their own terms, and once they have your money, you’re on your own. Not worth the risk.

Heads up if you’re thinking about trying Walter AI.
I gave it a shot because I was curious — the tool itself is actually fine. It does what it’s supposed to: generates decent content, works fast, and has a clean interface. I used it to help outline some blog posts and emails, and for basic stuff like that, it did the job. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely usable.
But here’s where things went sideways…
I forgot to cancel before the renewal date, and they charged me immediately — no reminder, no warning, nothing. I contacted support literally the same day, thinking they’d be reasonable since I didn’t use the service after it renewed. Nope. Their response was basically, “Sorry, all sales are final. No refunds.”
I get that policies are policies, but most legit services at least send you a heads-up before billing or offer a short grace period. Walter AI does neither, which honestly makes it feel like they’re banking on people forgetting to cancel. That part really rubbed me the wrong way.
So yeah — the AI works. It’s decent. But the way they handle subscriptions feels a bit shady. If you try it, set a calendar reminder to cancel, because once that auto-renew hits, your money’s
