Recently I had an electrician in my home who tested my machine and said it was working perfectly. But when I used it myself exactly the same thing happened. So what do I do now?
My Waste King waste disposal unit that was fitted 16 years ago as part of a MFI kitchen died - MFI are off course no more so I had to look elsewhere for a replacement - Google took me to the Wastemaid website which was very easy to navigate. It includes a section on discontinued models and suggests replacement models. The replacement for my unit is exactly the same size and so a direct replacement and at a very reasonable price.
Ordered at 10:55am on Thursday and it arrived in Kent all the way from Inverness at 11:55 am the following day (incredible) - The unit came with very straightforward instructions written in clear English (a rarity these days when most instruction seem to have been translated from Chinese by Google Translate).
The hardest part of the job was getting the old unit off but once that was done it was a very simple job to fit the replacement.
Highly recommended easy DIY fix as half the price quoted by a plumber.
This is based on shopping for spares for our waste disposal. I actually had a problem because their Contact Us page was not working, but I found the parent company (bahninternational.com) and contacted them through there. By the end of the day, they had fixed the Contact Us page.
I had a technical query about which parts I needed. I sent a question by email and got a super-responsive, pleasant and very helpful set of replies. I was able to nail down what I needed and order that day.
