As first time buyers of a property we needed support and advice but unfortunately we only seemed to hear from Watson Woodhouse Middlesbrough when a signature was required. The department in question rarely answered the phone and tended to have an out of office on their e-mail. Expected a lot more for the four figure sum that we paid them. Had to chase to see if they had received my land search fee and more worryingly the deposit for the house as we heard nothing after transferring these to them. Discovered a host of problems with the property after moving in that should have been flagged up prior to our purchase but again Watson Woodhouse are not in our corner on this. Cheapest in the area apparently and you can see why.

Alisha was prompt at responding to emails when necessary and was very proactive. Would recommend WW and would definitely use them again the future.

Honestly the Middlesbrough branch, I’ve never met a more unprofessional and un organised firm, the receptions as stated below should be working in a kebab shop not a law firm, so rude and unprofessional.
Lack of communication , making situations worse , and prolonging situations that don’t need to be.

Extremely disappointed with the firm in Middlesbrough. They are incredibly slow and lack professionalism. There is no sense of responsibility in handling cases, and communication is almost non-existent. I would not recommend them at all.

I enquired about representation against alleged speeding charge. I told him I have evidence that I wasn't there and he told me to accept the charge.

I had a car crash about 7/8 years ago. A company called Slater & Gordon took my claim on, I was offered a payout which I accepted and they wrote back to me saying that I should not accept as the claim was worth a lot more than I had accepted. So on their advice I said that I would go with their advice. Within two weeks I had received an email saying that the claim had now fell through due to them not filing the correct paperwork in time, and I should seek advice from another solicitor which brought me in contact with Watson Woodhouse. I spoke to one of their solicitors Mr Henderson and he took my case on. He has now brought my claim against Slater & Gordon to a close and I’m extremely happy with the offer I received. This is down to Mr Henderson and his hard work. I would recommend Watson Woodhouse to anyone needing a solicitor, especially Mr Henderson.

Don't be put off by them - they certainly don't reflect my own experience, which has been absolutely first-class.
