Well documented issues with PayPal…

Well documented issues with PayPal aside. Apps pretty good. The social media side is a sea of calm in a stormy algorithm driven shit show of content.

When I started using this app it was…

When I started using this app it was brilliant. Regular videos to earn from and easy to get the payouts. However, I have not had a single video for about 6 months. I contacted support and they suggested i try checking at different times of the day which I did but still nothing. I tried to be patient but it seems pointless now so will be deleting my account.

Great app and videos are good

Great app and community, you also get to support charities, see community videos, plus you get paid for watching adverts and give feedback, the only issue is PayPal as it takes far too long to get paid, but other than that it’s a great app.

Been using we are 8 for three years and never had an issue :) however recently it’s gone down the pan, I’ve been waiting nearly a month for a payout, my emails keep getting ignored…if this company doesn’t turn it around I won’t recommend this to anyone else

good idea but having frequent issues

been using this for a couple of years now, good idea, used to have a wide range of brand videos with some basic bullet point questions after each, and payment in 3-4 business days.

but since around April, now takes 3-4 weeks to get the payment through, can go a week without any videos, then get 4 or so of the same one on the same day. This week the app opens but doesn't load until you try this multiple times over 10mins or so.

it looks like the underlying apis are having issues resulting in the dodgy app issues. also the payment issues could be something to do with finances of the company, also less brand adverts than before ... it looks like the company is in trouble, which is a shame as it is a good idea - really hope they get their underlying finances & technology sorted, this could be a key service/app like yougov.

as for the customer service, they're polite, get things resolved even though it does take a while (see the payment issue mostly) but overall their customer support team are doing a good job, sounds like they're getting hammered but are keeping it pro, remember people to treat others on the phone/chat/email support as you would want people to treat you in their shoes, if its getting heated then say "thankyou for your time" and close/leave the thread as a writeoff - use resolver for more formal.

since the start of this fiscal year in april the app, videos, payments all have reliability issues, really hope the company survives & gets back to where it was

No payment received

I have used weare8 for a couple of years with no issues. I recently requested a payout and had a lot of issues entering in my verification code. After some emails where I seemed to get an automated response it did eventually work. I requested my pay out at the middle of July and to date nothing has been paid to me. Not very good service and reading the reviews it seems I am not alone.

I will not be viewing any more videos until the money is paid to me

Used to be good with Ads to watch, now there is nothing. Payments take weeks to go through and NOT days. Once I receive my payment I will delete the app as I believe they will go bankrupt.

Thieves and liars, ignore emails sent weeks ago

Used to be ok however tried to take my money out and I’m not getting a text, I’ve emailed them and I’m being ignored. Why have you ignored all my emails sent weeks ago? Don’t lie and tell me to update app, Don’t respond to this review by telling me to update app or give further excuses the fact is you have scammed me and refuse to respond to emails to sort it out. Trading standard time, your company should be closed down! Absolute joke of a company. Looks like the company won’t be around long must be going under . And don’t say it’s in my spam filter you are ignoring emails from a month ago. I emailed citizens advice yesterday as I said you should be closed down. I’ve contacted trading standards you haven’t replied to emails sent 1 month ago and stop making excuses it’s not in my spam. You are still lying about being in my spam is anyone willing to help yes or no?

So disappointing. I used to get the occasional paid ad to watch but now there’s absolutely none. It’s obvious by all the negative feedback that something is seriously wrong. I’m about delete to app.

Weare8 is like a fresh breath of air in the world of neverending scrolling. We've seen it promote musicians, pay back users for posting exceptional videos or taking part in surveys and we've enjoyed the positivity there. It's not trying to get you hooked like other - ahem - meta options. It's new and it has a few teething problems, but we're sticking with it for sure.

I've had issues watching ads last few…

I've had issues watching ads last few months but most annoying thing is it broke my trend of cashing 20/30 straight off my paypal bill 😆

Samsung new blocker seems to be issue tho still some 🚫

Something has gone seriously wrong with…

Something has gone seriously wrong with this company, and judging by other recent reviews it’s a widespread deterioration. Requested payout weeks ago now, should take 3-5 business days but keep being told there is an issue that they’re working hard to resolve. Can’t understand how they haven’t been able to resolve this yet…just approve the payments backlog, how hard can it be? Either seriously understaffed or their IT systems are failing them and they don’t have skilled people who can fix them. Feel sorry for their customer service people, all they can offer is repeated apologies. Just not good enough. Time to delete the app and forget about them.
