I was really excited to see these new pads as they are flushable (I dislike having to use those pad bins in public toilets), bio-degradable and kind to the environment - a game changer! When I fir... See more

We're Fluus, the creators of the world's first fully flushable period pad. We're on a mission to stop harmful chemicals against our skin, microplastics in waterways and permanent waste caused by period products. As well as being fully flushable, Fluus is the first truly microplastic free period pad in the world (we know because we built the world's first microplastic free, high speed manufacturing line). As well as respecting our planet, this means that there's no sweaty plastic against your skin. Made from cellulose plant fibres, Fluus is hypoallergnic and has passed skin and vaginal sensitivity tests, making it perfect for even the most sensitive skin. To make Fluus both absorbent AND flushable, we created our patented technology called Flushtec®. It is a combination of materials and first-of-its-kind manufacturing process which makes Fluus pads naturally absorbent, but they only start breaking down once they're fully submerged in turbulent water. Want to know how it really works? The volume and hydraulic action of the flush tear the pad apart. It breaks down even further as it travels through the drainline. The disintegrated pad arrives at the water treatment centre, having broken down into cellulose plant fibres half the size of an eyelash. Here it can safely pass through the screens where it is treated and converted into biogas and fertiliser, creating a circular product lifecycle. Conventional pads contain 90% plastic and take over 500 years to degrade. We believe companies should take responsibility for the complete lifecycle of the products they create. Flush and forget.

Great product flushes down the toilet…

Excellent product eco friendly
No nasty leaking either great absorption

Don’t absorb fast enough
They don’t absorb fast enough, so there was leakage on the heavy days, not through the bottom, through the front. Don’t think I ever experienced that problem before. They are perfectly fine on the lighter days.

I love the product but….
I love the product, but am disappointed that pack sizes have reduced from 15 to 12, with no warning & an increased price. Would love to have the option for larger pack sizes - that is the only thing preventing me giving 5 stars.

I have been using Fluus for 5 months
I am regularly using fluus since march 2023. I love that it's affordable, eco-friendly and very practical.
They are great all year around, but especially during summer. It absorbs very well and feels much better than plastic pads. I was a bit sceptical about a pad dissolving it the water, but it actually does it.
It's nice to bring them along when traveling. I never had any leaking with Fluss. I am not sure how they would deal with heavy flow because I use them along with menstrual cup.

Ineffective product - lose their sticky
I messaged the company on Instagram and Facebook about an issue I had discovered about the pads losing their stickiness after storing them unopened in a dry place for more than a few weeks. No one responded and I've ended up with loads of pads that can't be used because they have no sticky at all. This is ironically very wasteful and what I wanted to avoid by buying these products. I would have reconsidered if someone had got back to me as I really liked them when they worked and originally gave a five star review but sadly I am now leaving a one star review and not purchasing again. I really hope this company is genuinely passionate about being environmentally friendly and isn't just trying to cash in with a product that doesn't really function. So disappointing 😕

Great idea, but be warned - You'll get into a mess!
I wanted to LOVE this product. In a way, I do. Such a good idea and really did do as it claims*; you could see it breakdown almost immediately in the toilet.
*BUT because of how well it breaks down, I found that when at the gym or in hot weather, any sweat causes the pad to break down. On more than one occasion, and on top of it, trying to absorb the flow, I got into a real mess. It was extremely uncomfortable, and I could not change or clean myself until I got to a public toilet. Even when I was able to change, the glue and degrading pad was everywhere and was difficult to clean without washing. With washing not being an option, I was uncomfortable until I got home.
Side note: I usually carry a pack of flushable wipes and still struggled to clean up.
I also found that the stickiness of the wings and pad isn't great, and can move around when trying to pull up underwear. They are also quite thick and stiff, so it feels like you're wearing a nappy... More so than regular pads.
I cancelled my subscription because of how quickly it broke down with the slightest bit of moisture. I completely understand that's the point of the product, but I did expect SOME moisture tolerance considering it has to absorb and retain flow. I also had to change much more regularly than I would with generic pads and tampons, so a 15-pack really isn't enough for a medium, 5-6 day cycle. On my heavier days, I resorted back to tampons because I couldn't trust them.
I submitted this review on their website but noticed they seem to display their 4-5* reviews. I might be wrong on this; this is my opinion from my initial looking around!

Ok product
Love the fact that everything is flushable and the subscription service. I cancelled after 3 months due to them not sticking very well. They are also quite uncomfortable comfortable and only come in one size, which is quite small,

To thick and don’t stick
Love the concept of this company and the fact there and no nasties or chemicals but the pads are way to thick! They also do not stick at all! Such a shame! I also am having trouble to cancel my subscriptions after trying a trail pack. They absorb well tho, just a shame.

Signs up to a subscription you never asked for!
Ordered a free trial and next thing I know, I was getting an email about my next order being sent, it had signed me up for a subscription and seems very difficult to cancel. Have emailed to cancel but no response yet.
Please AVOID if you want to save the hassle.
I dont care how good or bad the product is when the company are this sneaky before ive even bought anything, I will not use them.
I did wonder why they wanted to take a token amount (£1) and thought it was for postage but obviously is just so they have your card details.
