We first went on Tuesday evening to meet with Jim (he was filling in for the manager, Rod). We had spoken to him in advance when we set up the appointment. Jim was honest and forthcoming, he also explained the quoted price on the website would likely not be the price offered and he explained why. When we arrived at the place, Jim was busy finishing with a customer. He was professional but also very personable. Although it was getting late, and we said we could rescheduled, Jim was perfectly fine staying later. He has a wonderful personality and disposition. He checked over the car and explained everything as he went along. The whole experience was quite painless. Jim quoted us a price, and as we had not actually anticipated completing the process, we only had one car. We asked if we could come back the next morning, and he was agreeable. He would not be available but Rod would be back and honor the quote, and finish the paperwork. The next day, we met with Rod and he finished the paperwork and cut us a check. We can easily conclude that the company trains their staff thoroughly in customer service, Rod was also extremely nice and accommodating. We would recommend dealing with either of these fellows. We were extremely satisfied and happy and highly recommend them.

All I was told was everything wrong…
All I was told was everything wrong with our car and how much it was going to take to “fix it” when we all know the car was too expensive to fix at 219,000 miles. What about all of the working items on the car that you are going to sell? Doors, fenders, tires, power seats all in great shape but only $300. I should have walked out but at that point just wanted to get rid of car. Never again nor will I recommend anyone going to webuyanycar.

Thank you for choosing webuyanycar.com to sell your vehicle. A one-star rating tells us the team who looked after you at our West Norriton branch fell short of the five-star service we set out to provide on every appointment, and we apologize for letting you down.
The online valuation is an estimate built on the information provided by the customer. When you first completed it, we asked whether the vehicle had any physical or mechanical issues and you answered "Yes". Our website then took you to the damage declaration screen where you can tell us about those issues, but I see from our logs that no specific issues were entered. When you went to complete the valuation, our system warned you about those missing details, and you opted to continue without them. Our offer follows a professional, in-person appraisal that establishes the verified condition of the vehicle, and on your vehicle that appraisal identified 12 physical and mechanical issues, most of which were not reflected in the online estimate, including:
- Dents to both front doors, the passenger side rear door and quarter panel, and the passenger side front fender
- An electrical fault in the front passenger seat, requiring replacement
- A suspension noise detected on the test drive, requiring repair
- Rust on the hood, requiring replacement
- A torn headliner, requiring replacement
- A damaged alloy wheel, a damaged rear door handle and a scratched rear bumper requiring paint
Our OBD-II diagnostic scan revealed 6 active fault codes:
- P0620: Generator control circuit malfunction
- B1317: Battery voltage high
- B1318: Battery voltage low
- B2290: Occupant classification system fault
- U0100: Lost communication with the engine control module
- U0151: Lost communication with the restraints control module
The doors, a front fender and a power seat are among the parts where issues were found, and together with the fault codes, these findings are the reason the offer landed where it did. A vehicle's condition shapes its value whether or not it is ever repaired, which is why our buyer explains each finding as it is made. You are always welcome to stand alongside them during the appraisal, see what we see, and ask about anything you are unsure of.
We have escalated your experience to the Area Manager responsible for our team in West Norriton, who is investigating and will be reaching out to you directly to talk it through. Anything short of a five-star experience is not where we intend to leave this.
