Shocking Customer Service

Good UI but if you have a problem, they are the WORST at customer experience you could ever imagine. There is none. I am a paid customer, so imagine emailing your problem and a load of questions, only for some person to respond, "thanks, we will gladly assist you" and then answer none of your questions and provide no plans to resolve your problem. Then, their next email will take 2-3 days, you go around in circles, its horrible. Its been 1 month now and I am still not live causing all sorts of business issues.

Square even said it was weebly and they need to sort it, but they still deflect it away from them. So so bad. At this rate, I am going to spend 2 weeks building another website on a a far far better customer service platform.

Weebly customer service non existant

I've had the same domain for 20 years. Most of that with ipage. Never had a problem until they recently tripled their price for hosting. I have a simple website, 3 or 4 pages, no stores, selling nothing. I'm an artist and ipage used Weebly to make your site. Anyways, I couldn't afford the 3x raise in hosting so I thought I'll just go to Weebly as I had been already using it. Weebly could not save my site. They hooked me up with Square which I don't need. Never needed it. I have not been able to get my site up and running since January 2024 (almost 3 mos now). I paid to renew my domain with them which I paid. Then they also charged me for Square which I don't need another $27. There is almost no support to straighten things out. Only by emails and it's as if the person is not reading my email explaining the problems because the answers are inconclusive and don't solve the problems. So frustrating! I'm looking at Hostinger now, has great reviews on Trustpilot. Stay away from Weebly and Square.

I've had Weebly since 2015

I've had Weebly since 2015. I never really liked it (I don't really need much in the way of a website and I'm proudly pretty i.t. illiterate), but it has never been very easy to use and now that Square bought them, the raised my price by 140% this spring! Seriously? What the hell is wrong with these people?

No support and old tech

The support when you have any issue is non existent. Even trying to reach out via social media gets zero response.
The tech has also gone backward compared to WIX so I'm looking at transferring after a decade away...

Call a 555 number from the UK?

Locked out of my website by there still being my old telephone number.
Ive been advised the issue can be sorted but i need to call a number starting 555 from the UK which isn't possible. I think it is essential that when building a website you look at where at what number your customer service .

Used to be my go to, now Weebly got greedy

Weebly used to be my favourite website builder, especially for buying a domain name. I could get two years for around 30 pounds. Now they are greedy and have put it up to a whopping 200 pounds. I cannot beleive they are now charging so much and shi*ting on long term customers. disgusting

Do not recommend - expensive and bad service

It used to be a very nice website builder at a cheap rate. However, they have been taken over several years ago, and have been in decline ever since. Prices spiked, reneging on previous agreements and purchase plans, while service plummeted. Highly recommend to stay away from this provider.

Good builder, bad support

Good product, bad support

The Weebly builder itself is great (I haven't found anything close to it) but the support sucks.

They were bought out by square in 2018 and not sure what happened but since then their support has been abysmal.

I had an issue with inviting members to edit my website, but the inviting members wouldn't receive an invitation from Weebly.

I literally contacted Weebly like six times and it was always some automated response and they kept saying they'd get back to me but never did.

Unfortunately I haven't found a suitable alternative to Weebly. They have bugs that come and go, which is already a bummer, but the complete lack of support is wild.

Weebly store and shipping is broken now that Square is running it

I have loved the ease of weebly since 2015. But in 2023 as the SquareUp integration moves forward, the number of glitches is through the roof. I sell a product, receive a lot of orders, and I can no longer buy shipping labels easily or quickly and definitely NOT in batches. Label buying is - was - integrated with GoShippo and tech support was a pleasure IN THE PAST. Now Square tech support barely communicates anything intelligible and getting fixes? Forget it. I have to report the same problem over and over and send the same screen shots over and over.

I have to move platforms I have zero faith my 20 minutes that became 2 hours creating shipping labels will ever be resolved. And if you're in the military, forget about ordering through my store. SquareUp tech broke the regions and I can no longer ship to APO addresses and they can't fix it. Worse yet, in their attempt to fix - I don't actually know which problem - my site charged NO shipping fees overnight until I caught it this morning. I'm out several hundred dollars. Now it's not just costing me time, it is costing me actual money, directly. Insane.

I've been using weebly for about 10 years and as an artist with a simple website and been very pleased. I could edit easily but I noticed a change after it was taken over by square. I am now deleting my account as I've experineced some strange glitches and things in the editing that do not work and their customer service is certainly not that. Today it took an hour and a half and the problem was not solved. Guessing if you pay you get great service? I'm changing to wix.

I have used Weebly for years with two…

I have used Weebly for years with two web sites. First they are impossible to get ahold of. If you get lucky and get someone to help you, they tell you it must be your computer and not them, but when I try to add pictures, they will not add. I tried it on several different sites, like Firefox, Google and Safari. None of them will work. Contacted Apple, as my computer is an apple and of course they are very helpful, easy to get a hold of and they ran through everything and said there was nothing wrong with my computer. It has been months now, paying for something that used to be free because square took over and I can not do anything with my web sites. I am trying to get ahold of them now and cannot find a phone number for them to try to get this resolved. I hate having to build a new web site, but I am guessing I will have no other choice.

Just run away from them -starting a class action lawsuit on failure of contract and with everyone we can get them for fraud for $$$$$$

Just stay away from this company or quickly run away from them. They entice you to get them to do your website and they use off shore China resources. I hired them to do a simple website through bill Johnson. It was just a terrible experience then the pm Keith Fernandez, I explained to them exactly what I wanted and my site was hosted through a different web hosting company. Instead of going through wp-admin ligon which I gave them they were trying to access through my web hosting company account snd kept requesting password changes. The password was changed as initially I gave them the web host company Logon as requested and thry started to buy services under my account. Which they denied they did that. Then after 3 weeks they put a site up using a basic template which was not what we discussed and thry tried to get me to host my site eith them. At that point I wanted a refund. They had an alon Cohen call me up and asked why I was canceling I told him and he stated he was going to process a refund. For everyone thry have all the information to process a refund, to the other reviewers they are asking for that information as a stall tactic and a way to delay your refund. No need to give them any additional information. So run away from them do not use them go somewhere else. Finally I did ask for a site they did for someone. I should have realized they were nothing but scam artistsJust run away from them. Here's what they do....nothing. been dealing with bill on and off the past few months. Started out with a 5 page website for 200+ dollars. They presented a standard template I tried to work with them but thry keep trying to log into my ionos account instead of the wp-admin account. Once they got in they started purchasing these items under my ionos account. Canceled those services spoke with Bill who denied that his team was doing that. Should of canceled then but gave them another chance and nothing same thing, then they were going to pitch me to move to their hosting and I wrote a fair but negative experience on trust pilot. They called and offered me a refund spoke to someone named alon and no refund. Got the site built by someone else and last piece was the email notification. I told Bill fine you do that and call it even just to cut my losses here. After all these assurances the work they did was to add the newsletter capture - not what I asked for at that point just refund me...bills reply was we did the work and don't thread me anymore. Then I stated I plan on leaving a review and then he said he look into it and nothing. Just cut your losses they will string you along and wear you down. This is not a company you want to deal with. Obviously they are more concern about getting negative reviews as they asked me to please pull down my other review and to be fair I did. But please don't use them nothing but scam artists. Have you actually seen a website they built or talked to a real satisfied customer and not some friend putting in a positive review?

Update Sunday September 3 2023. They are trying to request a reset of my wp-admin password. Who knows maybe to highjack the site. They have no reason to. Just shows the depths they will go to.....

Thinking of filing a class action lawsuit for failure to adhere to contracts etc. Thoughts anyone? That would shut them down permanently and no one slse will get scammed.....
