Horrible and deeply unprofessional estate agent. They attempted to illegally evict me by falsely claiming that the council had stopped paying my rent, when my rent was in fact being paid on time.

They sent their “handyman” (described as a locksmith) to both threaten me over the phone and attend the property, stating they would change the locks while I was still legally living there. No eviction notice was ever served.

They then escalated matters by sending the same individual to remove my electric fuse in an attempt to force me out of the property. This was done without any legal authority and caused serious distress.

Due to their actions, I was forced to involve the police. I am now taking legal action regarding the multiple illegal acts carried out by this company. I am aware of similar behaviour affecting other tenants who may not know their basic rights.

They are hostile when tenants request necessary repairs and do not follow proper legal procedures or protocols. This company needs investigating and should not be trusted to operate within the law.

I worked at Wentworth Estates for just under six months and my employment ended on 19 January 2026. Since leaving, I have been trying to resolve an outstanding payment for salary I believe is still owed to me. As of early February 2026, more than two weeks later, I have not received this payment despite contacting management multiple times.

During my time there, I also had concerns about internal processes and record-keeping. In particular, I became aware of a document attributed to me that I do not recognise as accurate, and I am taking steps to address this through the appropriate formal channels.

This review reflects my experience as a former employee. Anyone considering working with the company may wish to do their own research and read a range of reviews before making a decision.

Due to ill health we gave Wentworth our properties to manage and have now finally managed to acquire hand back of the last property in September. They have managed this beautiful clean house with furniture handed over to them in 2016 for £1450 monthly. In return we received:
No property management as per lack of inspections
Tenants supported and enabled to cause damage without consequences.
Negligence in their duty of care and contractual obligations.
No rent Increase for 9 years despite repeated requests and Shabeer reassuring us this would be feasible after initial contract term. Yet numerous bizarre obstructions proffered with "the Council" being blamed and or insulting increments of £25 proffered.
Repeatedly alleging their acts and omissions are directed by "the Council" as a smokescreen for their own unethical conduct despite our contract being with Wentworth Estates NOT "the Council"
One sided contract that seeks to allude they can fail to manage properties and breach contract; without any consequences whatsoever.
Unlawful Rent decrease in breach of contract using Covid 19 as a smoke screen; with Wentworth alleging this was instituted by "the Council"
If you value your property I would not recommend Wentworth Estates based on our experiences with our properties all handed back in vile disgusting states considerable costs to put back to a habitable state.
Complaints being made and costings of our losses being calculated for full reimbursement, which will be robustly pursued.
Overall a shocking and scandalous course of events that clearly evidence a property management service ( or rather lack of) very far below expected standards and grandiose breaches of contract and inherent duty of care, as an alleged property management company.

Quick to take money, do absolutely nothing for repairs, been calling for months to sort issues regarding the property and you get pushed around, say they will contact and do not, put the blame on me regarding repairs, absolutely do not go to this company….!! Be warned

Horrible company they don't give a dam as long as they get there money had water dripping from my bedroom ceiling, rats in the kitchen , boiler broke down at least 16 times in 2 years and let's not forget the collapsing moldy wall behind the shower these are just some of the problems.
All these problems were ignored by Wentworth management.

The worst estate agents I've ever worked with! They are all completely rude in every communication I've had with them, lie and deceive people. More interested in getting at much money from people than providing a good service. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!

Awful avoid at all costs! Rude and deceitful staff. Badly managed communication with my buyer. Would never use again.

Tried to arrange a viewing and the first thing they ask is a copy of your employment contract and that they will call you back.

I do not think this is appropriate, this is similar to walking in a store to do shopping and the company asks to see your employment contract before letting you in the store to do shopping. Seriously?

I do not see how this agency could keep themselves in the business for long.

Samina is wonderful. Have let 3 properties with them for 15-20 years and never had any issues, Rent always paid promptly and eadsy to deal with.

We would thoroughly recommend Wentworth Estates to other prospective landlords. We have been with this company for nearly 20 years. All during this time, our 2 bed flat has been let out with no unoccupied periods. The rent is always paid into our bank account on time. Regular rental reviews have taken place. We are provided with regular updates on the condition of the flat and a maintenance service is offered. We receive monthly and annual statements. We would like to particularly single out Samina Dean for her help and efficiency over many years. James & Kieran Sexton

Worst agents ever!!!!! The customer service is awful. The director of wentworrh estates RUBINA swore at me over the phone and threatened me, she’s also a liar and accused me of things I didn’t do. I am a tenant. The house I live in is disgusting filthy and inhumane. Full of pests, damp and all broken. The kitchen was so unsafe the cupboards fell off and could have killed me.
Someone close this estate agent down!!!!!!

They should be sued!

Unprofessional and slow repose from them. Never have I dealt with such a rude and unethical business. It take months from them to sort out repair in the property.
They don’t care about tenant’s health. just care about their own profit. Treat other people like they are giving them favour.
I will never recommend anyone to deal with Wentworth and rose.

Awful agents. They lied about dangerous electrical work they carried out on a live plug socket, claiming they hadn’t done it - despite me having invoice and email evidence to prove otherwise. They left property in awful mess, and tried to produce photo evidence to prove their case. Luckily I had time & date stamped photos to prove them as liars.
The PRS found them guilty & awarded compensation to be paid by them.
They have been removed once from the PRS, and are (at the time of writing this ) 24 hours away from being suspended, as they have not paid. Liars, and a maintenance team so full of cowboys that I am surprised they didn’t leave spur marks and stray cattle behind.
Just don’t!

The service so far has been excellent. The agent waqas and Asim explained the process so clearly and was very professional, friendly, polite and so very helpful with any questions that we were not sure about. We would definitely want to deal with you in the future and recommend others about your good service

This is worst estate agent I have ever dealt with. Please stay away from them. This is managed by unprofessional people. They produce fake invoices and deduct the money from the rent. They will never be able to provide any evidences of the work. No one will be ready to answer your calls or emails. Stay away from this agency to save your money.

This family-run agent has no credibility whatsoever.
All it's interested about is taking on the property and don't manage it and run the property to the ground. how they get council leasing is beyond me. it manages 3 of my properties and all o them are in a terrible mess. No inspection is done for years
