Good webpage fast find and prices. I selcted TSF Autos and this was a very good car service and customer service all round excellent.
Competitive quote for replacement clutch and two Linx which unfortunately took 8 days without me having a car. They did not inform me that they very busy at the time and that it would take that long to do the work. The garage staff I dealt with on the phone were polite. I went with the garage as they had a five star rating. Car is running okay. If you’re prepared to wait then all good.
Exploitative fees and zero support for mechanics
As a highly experienced mechanic with hundreds of completed jobs and a 4.5-star rating, I am appalled by the direction FixMyCar has taken.
The company has recently implemented a predatory fee structure, increasing charges on certain repairs by double, triple, or even four times what they previously were. These massive hikes were pushed through immediately, with absolutely no improvements to the platform to justify the cost. It is glaringly obvious that the new management is prioritizing pure profit extraction over the success of the technicians who actually drive their business.
When I reached out with constructive suggestions on how to improve the platform—as they specifically asked for input—I was met with total silence. Their support staff are consistently unhelpful; they lack any technical understanding of the automotive industry, and their standard "I will get back to you" response is a hollow promise they never fulfill. To make matters worse, the staff on the phone are frequently rude and dismissive.
It seems they believe mechanics are stupid enough to keep bankrolling their lucrative office salaries while we do all the heavy lifting in the field. They are completely out of touch with the reality of the work.
I am done being exploited. I am officially moving away from this platform to build my own independent reputation and website. If you are a mechanic looking for a partner that respects your craft and your bottom line, look elsewhere. Do not waste your time or money with this company.
Just a little heads up folks if you are thinking about using this 'service' I thought using this company would give me confidence in choosing a car repairer that they would have been vetted and testimonials checked but I was mistaken The company in question and this is my understanding offer advertising and nothing much else no expertise in anything other than turning a blind eye when things go wrong and this is the worring thing could put you in the hands of unscrupulous traders. So in summary do your own vetting and don't always believe the reviews could save yourselves a lot money not to mention the angst

Gladstone Garage and Tyres in York were first class to deal with and provided a thorough and fair inspection of my car

I booked an air con regas online, received confirmation it was booked etc, gave me the date and time, I took time off work and travelled from Nottingham to Derby, just to be told they don't even have a working air con regas machine, that it should be fixed next week, they said they are not registered with fixmycar anymore, but they're still on their system, wasted journey, wasnt happy, I should be compensated really !!!

Clickmechanic was no good with my enquiry despite trying multiple times I got stone walled to fix my ball joints on t4.
Then, Met a great mobile mechanic (fix it felix) couldn't ask for more as he's gone far and beyond to help out and will be my mechanic here on. Thanks FixMyCar

FixMyCar had car Registration number and knew type of new battery purchased through Tanya Batteries which directed my details to FixMyCar ,based on which Formula one Centres quoted £20 to fit battery , they did not book car for 3days then rang to bring car to their workshop ,did not bother to say battery fiiting cost was £70.00 only after i travelled 4 miles to their workshop they hiked the price to £70even though they knew all the time what type of battery was going to be fitted.Response from fix my car is misleading as the garage DID NOT inspect the car in person, they called me up for fitting the battery, I travelled 8 miles return, they didn't look at the car and hiked the quote by 350 percent without looking at the vehicle.

I would have given ZERO STARS if I could.
DO NOT book any service or MOT through these people as they DO NOT have access to the Diary of where you're booking!
I booked an MOT for 01Jun26 & received all the details for a garage but when I called to garage for a time slot they had nothing & were unable to take my car in until after the Expiry date of the MOT!

Garage didn’t know about my “confirmed” booking. Now had to book it somewhere else for almost £300 more. What a joke

Very easy and convenient to use. I have only moved to this area recently so it is very helpful to have places that are recommended by the RAC who I can trust.
My experience so far, having a Service, MOT and front brakes done and booking to get the rear brakes done has been great.

Easy to use they find the best prices prompt and a very useful app have used them before and had the break pads done for 1/2 the price the garage quoted👍🏼

FixmyCar was. Helpful in finding a garage that would do a regas on my Hyundai at a reasonable price.

The MOT/service booked through FixMyCar claimed to be confirmed but the garage had no record of it. Fortunately the same garage accepted my booking direct and matched the price quoted by FixMyCar. Disappointed with the initial booking experience.
