DEFEATS THE POINT!

The products are decent for what they are but the site's main problems are threefold.

1. Whenever you buy ANYTHING from these guys, expect shipping costs to be either just as pricey as the items you're buying (even when buying multiples), or downright more than double the items themselves. Whenever you see a listed price, expect to pay DOUBLE that amount PER ITEM (DEFEATS THE POINT!).

2. No bulk prices. You don't get ANY price reductions for buying 5 of something the way the site is even intended. The very few operational chess sites in Canada at least has the courtesy to take a dollar or two off the price per item for buying in bulk (even though that's still not enough to be helpful in any way).

3. Prices of the items themselves are like, the only "redeeming" quality of the site is that there's a kit option that allows people to buy multiple chess sets as a package (10 members means 5 chess sets for example) but a little bit of research on AliExpress, and you can get virtually the exact same stuff for about 60% of that price. Let that sink in

poor communication, nice product

The company has bad communication & offered express delivery in 2 days. The pieces have not turned up yet and it is now 3 weeks later.

edit:
About 2 days after I wrote my first review, the pieces turned up and are in lovely condition with a very nice, purple, corduroy bag. They are beautifully weighted and sold at a price unmatched by any other chess site.
If you want to save money, buy from these guys, but don't pay extra for quick delivery.

I ordered the Collector series plastic…

I ordered the Collector series plastic chess pieces and when I recieved the package almost all of the pieces had some kind of imperfections. It is unbelieveable that they sent me a chess set that is almost completely defect, and they won't answer my emails either. I don't recommend anyone doing business with Wholesalechess.
