Total Lack of Customer Service -Beware
We asked for a quotation and although they were more expensive than others in the area we were assured that their quality was much higher.
Before we signed off the quote we clearly asked for a change to the front door from plain white upvc to anthracite and we agreed an additional charge of £100 approx.
We also asked them to recheck the measurements of the patio door as we could see it was wrong.
What was delivered was a patio door which was 50mm short and a front door which was white upvc with an anthracite insert.
After discussion regarding the patio door we were told that they would give us a refund for their mistake. We received £96 on a £1016 order.
We incurred additional costs from the joiner of £150 and were extremely disappointed with the refund offered.
When we come to fit the new front door we realised that the door frame was still white with a cheap polystyrene insert in anthracite.
We immediately contacted them and was told that to change the door to anthracite required a new frame and would incur additional cost. Looking on the internet I don’t see why we couldn’t have a coloured upvc door without the need to change the door frame and should have been a very cheap options for them to resolve. They said that the door was as specified by them but you only need to look at the paperwork to see that it’s not clear. Changing the door to all white was the only option offered at a cost of £227 to us which is a significant part of the original £775 paid. We did not feel that we should accept a white door when we clearely asked for anthracite.
Window Distribution have no concern for their customer and we will not be using them again. Be aware that you are required to sign off on a technical paper which is extremely misleading and not clear to the unprofessional eye.
We have had to paint an extremely unsightly door through no fault of our own. Thanks for your lack of customer service.
