I bought the Cellar raid case

I bought the Cellar raid case, six bottles for £39 including delivery so you really can’t complain what you get. Unreal deal, I only got some pretty standard Wines all around the £10 mark from a quick look still a good deal but nothing crazy, but my brother-in-law got a case with a bottle of Dom Perignon inside!!!

My experience with Winebuyers was…

My experience with Winebuyers was excellent, they dispatched my order only for the courier company to damage the package during transit resulting in the package being returned to Winebuyers!! But to their credit Winebuyers brilliantly had the package delivered within 24 hours, thanks for the excellent service.

Do not order from this company

Do not order from this company. I ordered three bottles of wine on the 15 February 2026, being told that they would arrive on the 25 February 2026. The wine never arrived, in which someone from customer services said they had issues with the delivery. I then requested to cancel my order on the 26th February 2026 and I received no update, and looked like the wine wouldn’t arrive in time. I had heard absolutely nothing from them, until I posted my first review, in which someone finally from customer services responded on the 11 March 2026.

30 March 2026 - Following the former review, someone finally reached out to offer a refund on the 11 March 2026- they stated that there was an issue with their suppliers. They also emailed me to say that whilst they have now provided a refund, the matter is 'fully resolved' and have requested that I amend my initial review. I'm afraid my opinion remains the same. The customer service is appalling, with no communication until I had to open a formal trade standards investigation that someone finally responded. Whilst the refund was provided, this was the bare minimum after appearing to take the money and disappear. I would, as said, fully not recommend this company, and see that many other consumers have experienced similiar challenges. The review has been amended to now reflect the proposed refund on the 11 March 2026.

Reply from Winebuyers

Hi Mike,

Thank you for updating your review.

We’re genuinely sorry for the experience you had here - particularly the delay and lack of communication while we were dealing with an issue from the supplier on this order. That’s not the standard we aim to deliver.

For clarity for anyone reading, this was a case where the supplier was unable to fulfil the order as expected. As soon as this was escalated, the order was cancelled in line with your request and a full refund was issued and received.

At no point do we take payment without either delivering an order or providing a refund where something goes wrong.

We completely understand your frustration at not receiving the wine, and we’ve taken this on board internally.

We’re a small, family-run business and while issues like this are rare, we are continuously working to improve both our processes and customer experience.

the wines are great

the wines are great but my only disappointment is that only 2 bottles are white wine - i drink white - i didn’t mind some being red but the box was dominantly red

Worth the wait

Some hiccups with the delivery company meant it took a bit longer than usual to arrive. I also didn't strike it lucky with one of the lucky dip premium cases in the offer.

But no complaints at all about the three Spanish wines I did receive - four red, two white. Very easy drinking and exceptionally good value.

Definitely recommended.

Big selling emails and PR but just…

Big selling emails and PR but just average cheap wines at the price they should be sold. Great and quick service but that’s it. I got what I paid for, just, and free delivery was coming covered by the gap between cost of wine and what I paid. Those who shout loudest are always a let down - see Farage for comparison.

I understood from their advert that I…

I understood from their advert that I would get six randomly selected different wines, possibly one or two pretty good ones, BUT what arrived were two bottles of three fairly ordinary wines (in other words three pairs equals six!), none being more than 11 percent. A very misleading advert so I am disappointed even though at less than £7 per bottle I suppose I haven’t been completely ripped off. Let’s hope they drink well.
