Jars open doors

The addition of 'Jars', along with the ability to use them for investing in the Stock Market, is brilliant. You can turn on or off the investment in a moment. The process is simple and, if the Stocks are rising, you can watch your money grow. Of course, it could go the other way, but Jars will limit your exposure.

If I could give no stars I would!!!
My account was under review from Saturday. I provided everything got it opened yet my transfer which is for a funeral still hasn’t arrived to my Halifax account which I have linked to my wise. They claim it’s under review. I’ve been told by several members of staff that it’ll take 1/2 working days yet still nothing. I’ve sent it to death certificate to prove what these payments are being used for. I just want to bury my loved one yet I can’t until this payment is transferred over. I’m utterly heartbroken already by dealing with the grief now even more hurt that I can’t bury him until wise release my transfer. You’re effecting my mental state and affecting all the rest of my family!!!!

My experience with Wise:

I opened an account 5 days ago to make smooth international transfers – emphasis on smooth.

However, every single transfer was returned by Wise without any clear explanation. Customer support claimed the issue was with my bank, but my bank was able to clearly confirm that Wise was rejecting the transactions.

At that point, I had already had enough of the unprofessional customer service, which was not even able to identify the actual issue. So I decided to close my account.

But even that was not possible: the app kept blocking the account closure. After a total of 14 emails, multiple chats, and only after posting 4 negative comments on Instagram, the app suddenly worked – and I was finally able to close my account.

Is it really your intention to push customers to the point where they have to go public before you take action?

Such an unreliable system and incompetent customer service are absolutely unacceptable for a financial company.

Think twice before opening an account – my experience has been entirely negative.

Upgrade:

I don’t need any help from you anymore.

If you had truly wanted to help, you could have done so before I posted my review on Instagram.

Because the Iban transer fees went to sky ; if I compare wih another bank I have to pay after one transfer like in other bank for one month with same conditions!

To answer your first question, we recommend double-checking if the excess amounts are something that's pending on the bank's end, just to be sure — Sometimes when a payment attempt fails, the bank might "reserve" it in case the debit request comes through, which can appear as if it's been charged. However, usually the pending payments would be returned back to your bank balance after a certain amount of time.

From our end, we'd only debit payments that were approved and authorized, so you certainly would only need to have paid just the once to get the account running.

As for the second issue, if the money was sent to your account details directly, then it can take AUD around 0-2 working days to arrive, so if you mean to say the money was sent on 20th April, 2026, then it would still be within estimates. Wise had my payment of 800 dollars on…

Wise had my payment of 800 dollars on hold because wise wanted to show more prof. They wanted me to upload my driver license and I tried to for 3 hours and still I couldn't do it but when I download bank statements and my drivers license they can see my downloads clearly so the problem is with wise. Wise is a scam! DON'T USE WISE!
Wise is full of shit, I have uploaded live documents before and no problems, the problem is with wise! I call for help on the phone and your man couldn't help me, you need to make your verification work right instead of making excuses. If wise is the only one having problems with verification department then wise need to make it work. That's why wise have so many complaints.

Keep in mind that some identity verification types can have 2 separate steps for uploading a document and taking a photo of yourself (sometimes also called a "live" verification). This can explain why we're able to accept the uploaded scan of the document, but would still need you to take a photo as well. For the photos, it can help to take them in a well-lit area and using the highest resolution on your camera, for the clearest picture.
