MONEY BEING HELD SUPPORT NOT HELPING DO NOT TRUST THIS BANK
I came across YOTTA Bank on the App Store and was immediately drawn to the idea of escaping the burden of excessive bank fees. It seemed like a promising solution, and I eagerly opened an account with high hopes. I receive my weekly paycheck through direct deposit and promptly linked it to my YOTTA Bank account. To my initial delight, the direct deposit was successfully received and reflected in my account balance on the same day. Filled with excitement, I rushed to my leasing office to pay my rent, only to be met with embarrassment when my card was declined. In a desperate attempt to resolve the issue, I tried writing a check instead, only to face yet another disappointment as it too was declined. Frustrated and confused, I immediately reached out to YOTTA Bank for assistance. To my utter disbelief, I was informed that I had to verify my ID again. This demand is absolutely ludicrous because I had already completed the ID verification process when I first opened my account. Despite my attempts to seek support, I have found that YOTTA Bank's customer service is unhelpful and provides no meaningful solutions. Adding to my distress, my employer refuses to unlink their services from this unreliable bank. As a result, I am now left with over $4000 trapped in my YOTTA Bank account, inaccessible and useless. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed with the level of service and reliability offered by YOTTA Bank. The initial promise of a fee-free alternative has proven to be nothing more than a facade. I trusted this bank to handle my hard-earned money, only to be left feeling deceived and betrayed. I demand immediate action to resolve this matter and regain access to my funds. Furthermore, I expect a thorough explanation as to why such a basic issue as ID verification is causing such a significant disruption in my banking experience. It is both unacceptable and unprofessional.
Yotta is worth it
I am able to get cash back with basically every single purchase. The chance to win the yotta lottery by just using your card is enticing and fun
Fun bank account
Discovered Yotta through Markiplier’s channel and it is the most fun bank account I’ve ever had! The account can be set up as a checking or savings account, your choice. Mine is checking, so every time I spend, I win tickets and sometimes cash. Those tickets go into a daily drawing where you win your interest. Joining a prize pool can increase your chances of winning. It’s fun and it doesn’t cost anything to set up. If you ever need to deposit cash into the account, there are a number of stores that partner with Yotta, such as CVS and Walgreens, so you can make a deposit (with a small $4.95 deposit fee per transaction) at the checkout even on days when normal banks are closed. This account also won’t let you overdraft which is nice.
I love Yotta
I love Yotta! Easy to use, easy to manage, and I win money? It’s a win win win!
Won $20.10 in one night!
I’ve been using Yotta since February and have already won almost $30. I prefer it over a regular savings account because of how much I can earn back from saving!
Fun way to incentivise saving.
I'm not an investor and this was a fun introduction to simple savings app with a fun gimmick.
Yotta took my money and is holding it…
Yotta took my money and is holding it for no reason. They apparently verified me enough to take my money but to combat fraud they are unable to send it back!?
It’s a cool app
It’s a cool app. I like it a lot. Give me a chance to get lucky to win some money for better opportunities.
Be cautious
Be cautious, as they might continue to impose unexpected charges, asserting that it's outlined in their terms. However, their terms explicitly state that they'll notify customers via email before applying any fees. Despite this, they persistently charge you without prior notification. It's advisable to avoid this company, as there are numerous superior alternatives available.
Long time Yotta User
I use Yotta for my day to day banking and it is just the best. I love Yotta because I see returns on my money I couldn’t see anywhere else. They also make saving money fun and easy. Couldn’t recommend more!
Not for Banking but for Easy Discretionary Spending and Gambling
Your account is actually held by a evolve bank. It’s a small bank, so it won’t be good for a lot of your regular business transactions such as auto paying your bills and things like that. In fact for some kinds of transactions, it will try to hold $100 or $30 and you might be trying to pay just $10. So Yotta is not really for banking.
Yotta is for gambling and an account where you can hold some money for discretionary spending like fast food.
I think their algorithm tries to work it out so that you get about a 2-3% return on whatever you are spending. This is to make them similar to cash back credit cards.
If I’m going out of my way to buy tickets and move some discretionary spending to Yotta, I expect a significant winning from time to time. If that doesn’t happen, I will leave.
If I were to design a gambling app like this, I would try to make sure everyone wins something significant at certain intervals. In this way, we are all sharing the proceeds of this financial invention.
I like the app so far but time will tell if I keep my account.
It’s a great way to save money
It’s a great way to save money. The buckets are great to make it easy to reach your goals and stay on track. The daily lottery is also a huge plus
I like Yotta because so far the ease of use
I like Yotta because so far the experience has been extremely easy for me. It's easy to navigate the app, it's easy to set up different savings accounts - with goals! And to top it off I occasionally win extra money here & there.
Yotta is amazing
Yotta is amazing! I haven’t won anything big yet but I have about $15 that I wouldn’t have had if I used my other debit card. I’m super happy with my experience and the app is really user friendly and it’s nice to see every night how much you win! I also LOVE the boxes! Idk why ever banking app doesn’t have this option. I put $6 a week in a box and lock it for a vacation fund, I already have a few hundred and I haven’t even missed the $6 a week. Highly recommend
Great app & awesome rewards
Daily sweepstakes based on balance and purchases. Simple and straightforward app. Virtual and physical debit card available. Won ~$200 on my last purchase. Stoked!
Yotta payed for my meal!
Yotta payed for my meal! Never thought I’d actually win on a purchase I made, but sure enough I did all because of Yotta.
Extra money in my pocket
I won 100% cash back on my purchase. And win small prizes on the lottery ticket draw every day. Which adds up and it’s money I wouldn’t have with out Yotta!!
Legitimate
Legitimate. Rarely do I not win at least a few cents every day. Oftentimes more.
It’s really easy and fun to use
It’s really easy and fun to use. I look forward to seeing the results of my ticket at the end of the day. I’ve easily withdrawn money where I have needed to. It also scratches that itch for me when I used to buy lotto tickets at the gas station. This is so easy and fun and you’re making money!
