If possible I would give zero stars for this company. I paid for a course which never arrived. Despite many emails to the company, accompanied by the company receipt as proof of purchase, I never ev... See more

Nothing to complain about. It's been 40 days and I'm learning French quite fast. I'm interested in learning other languages through the same app after I'm confident in French so I hope they'll put mo... See more

It is a good vocabulary builder. On the multiple box questions, if you could flip all the boxes to get there meanings, it would provide additional repetitions and enhance learning. There is one fe... See more

I am 5 star happy with my choice.

Firstly, I love that I can progress with as little as 17 minutes per day.
The value for money is excellent. My wife and I are both enrolled separately for as little as +-$80.
Our course is European Portuguese as opposed to Brazilian Portuguese.
The only disappointment is that I have found two errors and given feedback, but I have not received a reply, nor have the errors been fixed.

Early days, but happy so far!

I've only been signed to a couple of weeks, but I'm quite happy so far. I'm studying Italian. It can be a bit repetitive cycling through the same words repeatedly, and it does involve a degree of self-accountability from the learner to not be tempted to click that you know a word that, in reality, you don't know. However, I have found that new words are sticking in my mind, and my vocabulary is definitely after broadening. I spent over a year using another quite popular app, but never felt it was particularly immersive, whereas 17 minute languages gets you to conjugate verbs and tests you in different tenses, which has helped boost my confidence. So far, so good.

The initial cost seemed a bit high but…

The initial cost seemed a bit high but considering it is valid for 10 years, which is what I think people need for tier 3 and higher languages... The interface is simple. Of course, there is no replacement for immersion. One quality-of-life thing I would add would be an account option on every page after logging in.

It teaches you useful phrases

It actually teach me useful phrases and it is teaching you basic things way more efficiently than I thought. I would recommend the Mongolian course, I do not have experience with the other languages. Since it doesn't explain the grammar I would advise a grammar book, just to clear some grammatical concepts

it is simple to work with

it is simple to work with, good set of methodologies, you can chose your own time and length, it is in fact a pleasure. And you learn by repeating and repeating and .....you can practice daily as the Portuguese people really appreciate you spend effort in learning their language

Disappointed

If the software would at least work.
I was eager to keep my strike going and only 4 days into learning it didn't count my score and then it just did everything but what it was supposed to. In the end all I got was a full page of code.
Not to mention that their money-back-guarantee is a hoax in my opinion. I've contacted the creator several times and never got a reply nor my money back.
And you can't even successfully contact them over their contact invitation. I had to go some lengths to find some contact-info which didn't get me far anyways.
So after thinking I'll give it another try after 2 years - nothing got better, nothing changed and I can't continue my study today or my strike which is part of the promoted motivation.
Will it work tomorrow? I don't know. But my trust has been shaken again.
Hope this helps someone who's smart enough to research before paying for this waste of money.
Nice idea, but not functioning. Sorry.

"To fart"

There is a mismatch between thai and english in the audio tapes. Perhaps they did it with AI to save money. Every single exercise has serious bloopers. For example glaai ("far") is translated as "to fart". I let them know but received no response. Also the dialogues are not integrated in the 17 minutes per day system, which is just vocab cards. You have to do these yourself but the app doesnt remember where you are, so very demotivating
