Absolutely lovely experience with rob and the other gentleman very polite and loved his little jokes when the job was done would definitely recommend to friends and family really great job so happy with my new door

From the initial phone call and sales rep Mo and installing contacts centre, great service and communication.
Fitting was on date agreed and the installer Reece was top class, hard working and a great job. Cleaned up and took all old windows away.
Good price and quality.

New Front and Back Doors fitted today. Another 'FIRST CLASS' job carried out by Lee. well done mate. 1st class service and workmanship. Could not have asked for more..... Attention to detail and cleanliness second to none!

Had a new front door fitted. I received a few quotes from different places and these were the best price I got quoted. Had plenty of confirmation of appointments and communication was good. Gary and Reece who were the fitters were extremely polite, friendly and respectful. They kept me well informed throughout the fitting and double checked I was happy before proceeding with the fitting of the joins and seals etc. Left the area spotless. I will be getting more work done with these guys.

I just had a new composite door fitted by 1st Glass and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish.
I had a home visit within 24 hours on enquiring and the salesperson made sure I was happy with everything before placing the order.
Communication throughout was spot on and it was easy to get hold of someone if I needed to ask questions.
Gary & Reece came to install the door and they were brilliant. The installation was completed quickly and efficiently and they left the area spotless.
The door and hardware excellent quality.
I thoroughly recommend using 1st Glass.

Had Lee here this morning to fit our new exterior front door and panels.
He arrived punctually and never stopped all the time he was here!
He even put our address plaque up for us.
So pleased with his work and would highly recommend.

Had my new windows and doors fitted by installers Gary and Reece who were absolutely amazing! They were both very professional, cleaned up throughout and provided an excellent service. My neighbours are loving the look and admiring the work, better lighting now in my home also since having the doors installed which has made a real difference. I’ve even had a contact in Leeds area who wants to contact 1st Glass. Quality is 10/10. Thank you again.

I saw 1st Glass UK advertisement on Facebook and contacted them after checking out the reviews. Mo came out to see us and he was very helpful and we placed an order of 4 windows and 1 front door. We were given a date and Dean, Martin & Kyle turned up yesterday. We couldn’t believe how fast they got on with the job especially as it was really hot and they were in full sunshine. We left them to it and got a call 10 minutes before they finished. We are very happy with the job. Would definitely recommend.

Chose 1st glass for a back garage door and window we required. 1st visit from gentleman who explained price and how it works and products on offer. Everything I asked for was no problem. Not pushy. Polite respectful and smart. After paying the deposit, 2nd person came to measure up. Again polite helpful and assured us everything we wanted was no problem wanted the door a bit wider to accommodate our twins double buggy so didn't have to take apart in and out. One measured up recieved a call to give instal date. Alex and Paul arrived on time and were polite and respectful. Window and door installed and old one taken away along with any rubbish. Overall whole process I cannot faultone bit. All staff were polite and helpful and did what they assured us they would. Looks perfect and exactly how I wanted it. Will be using again for front door and windows in the future.

the installers Nasser and Quaseem (father and son) did a fantastic job installingour windows. No fuss no mess and very cheerful gentlemen. I would highly recommend them and !st Glass. Well done.

Ordered a door and frame in March.
Day before fitting was advised it’s changed to day after
-Door arrived, incorrect fan light
-Fitter ripped out and threw away original Edwardian architrave and damaged plaster work, all without my knowledge or authority
-pieces of plastic architrave were used instead of one for the door trim
-fitter didn’t finish the top of door
-fitter didn’t finish bottom of door
-silicone was used instead of correct sized trim
Complained and advised would be sorted
3 appointments booked, ALL 3 cancelled the day before
Fancy number 2 arrived, wrong again
After 4 months of asking and emailing and calling, I finally had a fitter arrive with correct fan light
Fitter did correct some of the mistakes but my original architrave has been left for me to sort our
Midnight after the last fitter left, I had to evacuate my home due to a massive gas leak. Neighbours had to join me including a child
Complained and asked for my emergency gas safe engineer costs, to be covered!
Promised they would, still waiting for the payment.
Asked for refund, was told they don’t do refunds or compensation
Door is also the wrong colour.
DO NOT USE 1st GLASS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE LEFT WITH SUBSTANDARD WORK, HOME VANDALISED & OUT OF POCKET

Today we had the front and back doors replaced. We are really happy with the end result. Lee fitted them both, he completed a brilliant job. First class workmanship.
We are really happy with the service and the quality of the doors. We chose this company, because they were so helpful and friendly, we had a lot of help from Lynn, when she came to see us and measure up, there are so many choices of doors. We know that we chose the right company to fit our superb doors.

I'd rate my experience with 1stglass UK as a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Although happy with the outcome, we have dropped 1.5 stars due to the sales process, cost and the discrepancies between the door design and the door we had installed. 

The sales process: We found this a little bit of an odd one. The sales individual who visited our home to discuss our door design was quite firm on both my partner and I being in the room to discuss this and review our choices in the door brochure. We have never dealt with a company who required this so even though my partner was happy for me to decide the door design, he had to come downstairs from his work office to be present in the room. The cost proposed for our composite door design we also thought was a little bit steep (£1,950). I asked if we could think on it but the sales individual stated that this price was only agreed for now and would likely fluctuate if we went back to them in the future. We felt a bit of pressure as a result and agreed on the cost and signed the forms. 

Door design discrepancies: Unfortunately, what we agreed at the final design stage was not what we received when installed. On the day of installation, my partner and I were busy working from home and so we had little interaction or discussion with the installation team. Once the door install was complete, I had to sign some forms and the guys left. We had no complaints about the install as they did a great job but it was only after we had finished work that we noticed that it was slightly different to our agreed design. The dental shelf was missing from the door, the door knob was installed in a different location (I was previously informed this would fit in the centre panel of the door but on the install date informed this would not work/fit correctly and thus had to be installed where the shelf was supposed to go) and the escutcheon door pull was not installed. I contacted 1stglass to make them aware of this. It did take a little bit of time and chasing up to hear back but eventually someone came over to make the changes that they could, but unfortunately these were limited due to some of the permanent install choices (e.g. base of the door knob was not the correct size to be fit in initially agreed location, dental shelf could not/would be complicated to install due to the drilled location of door knob). The front door did also drop slightly after install which resulted in some issues with opening/closing the door but this was fixed when someone visited after my above email.

Overall, we are happy with our composite door. The staff were helpful and open to giving advice, communication for the most part was good but there could be improvements in some areas. I'm not sure if I would use 1stglass UK again due to these hiccups and looking back, we would have looked around for other quotes for comparison. However, we thank 1stglass UK for our door and their work.
