nobody wants to buy anything

it seems nobody wants to buy anything, they just send many many messages and keep you in the loop for weeks, saying they would come and pick up the goods the day they make the move. To hell with this service. It is good for nothing. I have been trying many years, and never managed to EITHER BYU OR SELL something.

catawiki corruption 88809 sales ads on 2dehands

I tried to contact customer service but a stupid Bot that answers. This site is not a sinking ship anymore its a damn submarine. What annoying me really all the Catawiki advert. make a simple filter so can skip to see all does sales ads. it can be page and pages in a row with just catawiki. As maarktplaats is same owner why not make a possibility to advertise on example 2dehands and it will add if I want also on maarktplaats and harmonies the payment on both platforms. your it development looks to be stuck in 2004 when amd duo core was a thing. Today I search and 2 pages full of catawiki stuff before I see something relevant. Catawiki has today 88809 adverts on 2dehands. its not normal anymore

Avoid absolutely

the worst. DO NOT USE THIS SITE, even with registered users and registered payment you can get scammed. This is so broken that is comical.

Even fully registered users can be scammers and there is absolutely no way to get your money back. Incredible bad experience, i will never use this again.

Scammers are free to sell fake products…

Scammers are free to sell fake products here and 2dehands does not care in the slightest.

Literally every day people get scammed on 2dehands by buying fake products, these vary from fake airpods to fake shoes, all “new” and in the box, the shoes even have fake proof of purchase, the airpods have real serial numbers, but make no mistake, 99.9% of these are completely fake chinese imports.

I knew a guy who used to do this all the time, he bought knockoff “rare” shoes and even clothing from china, only experts would spot the difference with the real product (most normal people can’t see the difference, but the quality is 100 times worse). Then he’d just sell them on 2dehands for ridiculous prices. He had been doing this for years before boasting to me about it.

Avoid this platform, they do not care about their users so do not support them in any way.

Great site for second hand stuff in the whole of Belgium

I've been using this site for more than 15 years.
As on any platform you have to be careful for scammers. But they're usually quite easy to spot.
The site has the option to pay by card to a third party, who then releases the payment to the seller, only when the buyer has received the right item. At only a cost of 5 cents I think.
The platform is great, the people you're dealing with, not always. Like in real life.
The number of scammers has gone down dramatically lately. Apparently they are being spotted quicker these days.

2dehands.be

2dehands.be, inactive customer service, partially broken service, a lot of thieving users (but also good ones)
Let's start with the service:
- the site is filled up with items not supposed to be there. Commercials for companies selling products. WHY? It clutters the view of the real "second hand" items.
- your items quickly get pushed down to page 5 or lower. It's extremely hard to find your item yourself, let alone let others find it.
- But you can push it up by paying. The fee is quite high. But what's worse, your item is not even pushed to the first page, and even so, it quickly falls back lower (due to others paying for their push up, i assume, or due to the commercial items staying up high).
- Then you can pay for a permanent spot up. But the tariffs are extreme. Between 10 and 30 euros, depending on the type of object. For one week. Mostly these items go on sale for 100-300 euros. So it's a very hefty "sales percentage". If you can sell it in a week.. 4 weeks to sell it? You lose 40% of your sale.. While you already ask a small percentage of what it costed you.. A decent site I happily would give a sale%. But this is too much.

Up next are the users:
- You have some great users. Nice people, doing fair bidding. (we all want to get the best price)
- Then there are the scammers. The moment you put up your phone number on the site, they contact you via Whatsapp to scam you. I believe they even use bots for that (because it goes thát quick). The site hardly takes action on this. They do now have a payment method enabled, but the phone number is still an option. Why? Is 2dehands.be involved with these scams maybe? Because how can scammers use bots on their site? You might want to have the authorities investigate this "lack of responsability".

Third, customer service:
- Its hard for customer service to take action on complaints. I sold an item, it was a 310 euro bid from one person for a fridge. I accepted it, but one hour later somebody else upgraded his bid and wanted to bid higher. I'm a nice person to my word, so I kept my promise to the first bidder. Gave the fridge to them. I apologised to the other guy, he was very friendly too. After the bid was done, the site enabled me to rate the other guy, so i did. Gave him a 5 star review and send him a message that i hoped he finds another fridge. Now suddenly, i couldn't rate my buyer anymore, nor could she rate me. What?? Why? Clearly a combination of a bug and a miscoding, as it was not clear to me as a user that I only had one review, and that the system thought by reviewing buyer 2 that i sold the item to him. Why not ASK who was the buyer? The system is not that smart it seems. I contacted support to ask for a rectification. As my buyers were happy, i was happy, we both wanted the 5 star review as it helps buying/selling items on 2dehands.be. They refused, said their system was great, as intended. I clarifief further, that there is only one buyer and the system needs to identify the right one. No, they kept refusing. What about a commercial gesture? No, it was not a mistake by them. Only after a quite harsh final email by me, a small compensation was offered. And a promise they will look into it. Time will tell. Many others write here about similar experiences…

Crap website

Crap website, I received a broken item and i want yo return it and I have asked the website admins they told me they are not responsible for any transaction and problem, they ask me to negotiate with the seller who does not even respond. You can not open a busines platform and don't take responsibility, you just take responsibility for ad income no? learn from Amazon and eBay abit.

Rubbish

I published an announce and I paid to get more visibility. After 2 days I realized that the announce was removed with no reason. They said that I received an email where they explain why. The problem is that I have never received an email but they kept my money anyway. They don't even react to paypal inquiry.
Avoid that if you can!
They are just thieves.
Nothing else to say.

New rating system is garbage

Used to be a good auction market (10 years+ user), but is nowadays spammy with tons of "fake message" push notifications that have ads. The user rating system has turned into a joke, where random people suddenly get the privilege to post a review on your profile whist the people you do actual business with get no such review opportunity. On top of that you cannot report users that post fake reviews in spite when they aren't the winner of the auction or those that threaten to post negative reviews if you don't sell the item to them. Outrageous and shameful !
