Awful customer service and have to haggle to get what you're entitled to!

Waited 14 days so far for a response to two emails asking for a settlement!

They offered me 1200 for my honda cbr 600f4i i can't find one for less than 1800 with the same milage and condition even on ebay!

Ive haggled them to death and the most they're willing to go to is 1600!

They offered me the bike back at 500 but its a write off.

Still chasing payment for an accident that happened 3rd April.

They just don't give a crap!

Amazing service

I am a frontline healthcare doctor and had my motorbike stolen whilst I was working during the Covid crisis in London. 4th Dimension have been amazing rapidly providing me with a replacement bike to enable me to continue to get to work. A huge thank you to Terry and the team. They really have gone the extra mile in allowing me to keep this after the insurance claim was settled and have also who managed to put me in touch with a company to source a replacement bike - difficult to do at this time! I cannot thank 4th Dimension enough for keeping me mobile and able to work ...... THANK YOU

Bad service

My bike was ran into from behind at very low speed at traffic lights by a range rover that didn,t quite stop
The only damage was a bent front brake lever , a bent back brake lever & a broken back light bracket .
I was put onto this company by my insurance , as it was my first & hopefully last claim I didn,t know I had the right to refuse them .
The bike was collected & taken to Egham for assessment & repair .
After waiting for several weeks I phoned & was told someone would phone me back the next day . Two days later I got a call and was asked if I wanted my bike back ! I said yes & was told if I accept it with the brake levers & rear light repaired ,then it would go ahead . BUT if I wanted the exhausts repaired then it was a right off .
I asked what damage to the exhausts .I was told they were dented & twisted to which I replied they weren,t when I took photos of the bike after the accident I was then told it,s already been written up & reported.
The bike was written off .
I went onto 4th dimensions website a day or so later & found my bike in the for sale section as a damaged repairable
( I was not offered it ) when it sold it went for about £500/£600 less than market value . I felt totally ripped off although I did get a good settlement from the insurance company after haggling .
It has been said before but if you use this company take lots of photos of the bike after the accident & before it leaves your possetion .

Harassment

I Had a minor accident that knocked me and my bike over (other party at fault). There wasn’t much damage I could see, but as my bike wouldn’t start, I called my insurance so my bike could be picked up. Got through to claims and due to my boyfriend’s experience with the claims process in the last year (months without bike, endless hassle, other party disputing liability and prospect of having to pay for bike hire himself), I asked for breakdown recovery to pick up the bike so it could be assessed for damage by the garage first before even thinking of going through the claims process. Finally they agreed to pass me through to the breakdown people. Half an hour later I managed to start my bike again, cancelled the breakdown recovery and rode it to a garage myself. Since then, I’m being endlessly harassed by 4th dimension regarding my “claim”, with phone calls, voice and text messages, and four letters to date. At a time when you’re vulnerable, this company is trying to get as much money from the other insurance company (and potentially from yourself if they can’t claim cost from the other party) by incurring costs ‘on your behalf’ at maximum stress and hassle to yourself. Avoid!

Bike repaired and looks brand new!

I am so happy to have my bike back, repaired and cleaned to showroom standard! I was hit by a van at the start of December and 4th Dimension were quick to get the bike collected and off for assessment and repairs. They kept me updated weekly on progress or issues. It has taken some time to repair and get back, 2 and half months, but due to injury I wouldn't have been able to ride it if I had it back sooner, and honestly I'd rather it take as much time as needed than be rushed and potentially things get missed. The bike looks like it's been wheeled straight off the showroom to my front door. The delivery driver was on time, rung me on his way with an ETA and was a really lovely happy guy. Super happy!

Knocked off in November, ripped off in Jan

Knocked off in November, they were recommended by Bennetts as dealing with the repairs and claiming against the other party, come December I am on a hire bike (which is badly maintained, low brake fluid, weak brakes) and told other party are disputing the claim and that I have to claim on my own insurance for the repair or pay to get the bike returned and the claim will be dropped. Explaining I don't have the excess I am told not to worry, the insurance company might drop the excess and repair probably won't be ready for weeks. Mid Jan I get a call saying bike is repaired and they want to drop it off tomorrow so can I pay them my insurance excess now

When I state I was not expecting the bike for weeks and did not know I would have to pay them the excess. They start saying they can't hold onto my bike and I was aware I was liable for the excess. I can't seem to get them to understand I thought the bike would be returned, the insurance would pay them then I would pay the insurance the excess. After a frustrating and patronising call from "Complaints" I agree to pay the excess in 2 weeks and get the bike back the next day. After reading other reviews I will be going over it carefully for damage and never go anywhere near these clowns. My advice to anyone, check who the insurer and repairer are when getting a policy, I got mine through Bennetts and end up with these people and MarkerStudy as the insurance, read their reviews to see how pleased I am with them !

Hire bike nightmare

My bike was reversed into by a van , the driver immediately accepted full responsibility (mid Sept) the bike was taken for 'triage' and I was given a significantly smaller hire bike . 3 months on I am still on their hire bike , I get a weekly text telling me they have chased the other party and are awaiting them to assess the damage. I ring and get the same message. How hard they are chasing the third party is anyone's guess though I am sure they will eventually do quite well hiring the bike to me for 3 months and counting!! Not happy my bike is rideable with significant cosmetic and minor damage. 3 months on and still no further forward ???

My bike was brought back from Germany…

My bike was brought back from Germany following an accident. These guys were fantastic, giving me regular updates as to when my bike was arriving with them, to the progress achieved to that point. People posting negative comments regarding timescales need to be aware that they have source replacement parts which has a time scale beyond their control. Once the bike was returned I was impressed with valet quality of the bike, it looked like a new bike. Keep up the good work.

The best accident service I've experienced for some time!

When I was knocked of my bike by a stupid van driver who hadn't check his mirrors before reversing into me I had no idea what to expect from the insurance company. The company they employed to deal with the repairs was 4th Dimension. I had never heard pf them previously but my experience was excellent. Prompt collection, regular updates, update on delivery by email and their driver contacting me 30 minutes out. The bike had been repaired to an immaculate standard as if it had just come out of the showroom. The whole experience ensured all my biker friends were told about it and they liked the way the bike was presented.I have been a biker since 1962 and this was only my second major accident so I have no other company to compare 4th Dimension with, but if this is their standard then very well done.

What can I say

What can I say, they did exactly what they said they would do, which is pick my bike up from my house, take it away, fix it in the time stated, keep me informed on a weekly basis and return it to me at the specified time.
The work done was good and it came back a lot shinier than it went.
Thank you 4th Dimension!!
My only comment is that if they leave a message and say please contact them and that they will be working til 7pm you cant ring after office hours as no one will answer.

Completely useless as far as getting…

Completely useless as far as getting information on what's going on is concerned.

Huge gouges down the side of my motorcycle when it was returned to me glad I took pictures of it before they took it to be assessed.
They also snapped the fairing mount and my back L plate off.
Make sure you take photos of your bike before it's sent off because everything I've seen from them so far has been dodgy as hell.

My eleven year old Yamaha XJR 1300 and…

My eleven year old Yamaha XJR 1300 and I parted company one beautiful summers day in May through a prat (it won't let me use inappropriate language here!) in a low loader pulling out in front of me without looking or indicating. The bike was picked up, taken away and within a couple of weeks I had a conversation with 4th Dimension about how they weren't going to scrap the bike were they?! Well, they didn't. They did a sterling job and kept me informed every week as to the progress. I actually got the bike back a week earlier than planned. Sorry guys but you definitely can't have the bike. Great job. Can't fault them.
