The only reason it doesn't get 1 star is because people can freely say just about anything, but that comes with the cost of seeing the dumbest people and unrelenting waves of advertising and propaganda bots. 9gag is like imgur without moderation, but still more respectable to a low sense. 9gag says no kids and imgur says go after kids.

Completely overrun with political bots

Completely overrun with political bots.
Seemingly no effort has been made to help users filter out undesirable content (like allowing users to block specific content categories such as Latest News).
Seemingly no effort has been made to improve the user experience (like making it easier for users to block bots).

Only place left with actual freedom of speech and there are people from all over the world and a lot of people cry racism etc but there are heaps of people of all different religions and races on there that can take a joke no matter how discriminatory and that’s the thing because if it’s funny then it’s funny so F u people who want moderation on the last bastion of unmoderated freedom, if you don’t like it leave. There are plenty of much more popular safety bubbles for you out there

Keep yr kids away

Used to love the site but these days it's a cesspool of racists, hate&violence pushers. It's even worse that racist posts, with almost no upvotes, get pushed to frontpage/hot! Let that sink in...

Racist and misogynistic cesspool

Racist and misogynistic cesspool. There is zero moderation done by administrators and the tools given to you are limited (e.g. you can't block more than a certain number of tags or post titles).

There's still funny content but even with lots of filtering and blocking, you WILL see awful posts and, especially, comments on a daily basis. Comments are completely unmoderated.

Full of disinformation paid by the Kremlin. Everyone knows it and the developers do nothing. They are probably complicit with them. They know who are the bots and do nothing. That web-page should be taken off from democratic countries if it is not able to perform some meaningful moderation.

Racist dumpster fire

I used to just be bad memes, now it's 95% racist, sexist or homophobic bs. The only group on there that isn't white supremacist seem to be pro-Israel bots and trolls.

Poisonous website

What started as an innocent, meme-filled, funny website has slowly turned into a hate fuelled, racist & awful environment. A cesspit of propaganda & hostility.

I used to frequent the site when it was funny & entertaining, but over time, the hate fuelled nonsense seeped through and was too much to process, so I have left the site for good.

Worst website on the Internet

9Gag disguises itself as a harmless meme site, and at first glance it looks like one, because there are a lot of meme posts that are mainly automated by bots that steal content directly from other sites like reddit. But at some point you stumble across a lot of political posts that clearly represent a far-right position. Often, migrants and ethnic minorities such as black and Middle Eastern people are dehumanized, one-sided and biased views are presented and the comments are full of extremely racist people, such as white supremacists and Neo-Nazis, who openly call for racist violence and genocide. The administrators of this website absolutely do nothing to stop such hateful comments, in fact they tolerate it.

This app is incredibly dangerous as it not only normalizes an extreme, racist environment, but also radicalizes new users with racist propaganda.
