3.5k days degenerate here. 9gag only lives on as a parasite host, riddled with propaganda bots. it's trying to mimic other social media and fails miserably.

My brief time with 9GAG had to be the worst social media experience by far. The platform is polluted with hate and is not a welcoming online environment for newcomers. It is infested with bullying, hate, and trolls who do not appreciate uniqueness, individuality, or creativity. It a rigid platform that does not welcome forms of creativity other than memes, whatever they see as "funny," political posts, whatever is "trending," and various forms of hate. I would never recommend this platform to anyone who is a creative who is not a cookie cutter, carbon copy of everything else that's "in" today. It also is an inconvenience of a site as it will not allow me to post more than video, nor can I post more than one comment, even if it's a simple thank you. I was already somewhat discouraged due to another social media experience but my time with 9GAG has left me feeling even more discouraged. This toxic environment is inexcusable and unacceptable. It would certainly not be good for anyone who is easily discouraged.

9gag has become unbearable. there used to be a time where you could have somewhat of a normal discussion and a good laugh about posts and even felt like there was some sort of comradery with other users but now if you even give your opinion on a post you are viciously attacked by trolls or people just trying to one up your comment to belittle you and god help you if you try to defend your opinion in anyway because you will be bombarded with downvotes and called every name under the sun.
the site has now become so toxic that racism is freely on display with users trying out do each other on how racist they can be. it's no longer a bit of joking around with a bit of stereotyping each others cultures anymore but straight up hate speech and bullying.
the site is filled with bait posts trying to stir up more hatred and division usually involving subjects like immigration, lgbt and crime and if you try to comment that the post is taken out of context or the poster is twisting the story or even just pointing out the post is bang out of order and disgusting and try to talk sense you are called a cuck or a traitor and are against the white race.you are called weak and pathetic and told your country deserves everything that's coming to it for tolerating diversity.
the majority of "9gaggers" seem to think they are similar to vikings or christian crusaders and they keep calling back for the days of the crusades and even the holocaust and slavery.
the phrase "i never used to racist but now i am" is becoming more common amongst users who are being brainwashed by the content and the comments that are being allowed.
the place is an absolute hivemind that has now become absolutely brain damaged.
they are so confused because they claim to stand for good but spew absolute hatred to each other and wish death on other races and gay people on a daily basis.
it's no longer a meme site where you can find odd and funny posts it's now a breeding ground for extremists and kids who are mentally ill.
i've been a member of 9gag since almost the beginning and today i closed my account because when i logged in the hot page was nothing but race baiting posts about europe "being invaded" by immigrants and how london and germany, france have have fallen to immigrants. the jews are trying to wipe out the white race by using AI apps and i can't even repeat what they are posting about black people.
it used to be a good place to visit to lift me out of a bad mood but i've had to leave because its just making me miserable with all the hate arguments and is not good for my mental health. its become worse than them fear mongering news channels.
i'm afraid the nutters have taken over the asylum and there's no going back. 9gag is dead and the fun good old days are gone.

This app has no boundaries for racism many unfounded allegations towards many groups, not many funny videos but more of racist ones. I’ll be deleting the app for sure

9gag is delusional and not very bright community of right wing extremists and their sheep heard.
For some reason they believe they are red pilled ones, while in reality, mostly undereducated and plain stupid bunch.

Really chamged since the invasion of Hong Kong. They promote now racism against Turkish people and other specific nationalities, posts from German nazis or fascists from other countries but will censor and shadow ban you when you attack them back. Seems totally in line with the Chinese CCP and Russias tactic of supporting fascists in other countries to destabilize them. Since the CCP has the Uighur genocide going on, its normal they will promote racism against Turkish people, cousins of Uighurs and sovereign people.

Well, that's it. After 10 years on 9gag I decided to leave. It wasn't due to the dark humour or political posts but because of their soul crushing adverts that can not be skipped. To make it worse, they play the advert audio over the posts. Guess I'll have to interact with real people now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thanks a lot 9gag

Extremely hateful and racist posts and comments seep through all of the time. A toxic echo chamber when it once was just a platform to go and laugh about random stuff.

12 years ago this page was funny with lots of users. Now its a racist incel shi**ole. Drowning in its own small dick energy dunning cruger pseudo-intelectualism. The sane and funny people left long ago. Also most of the posts are by bots, stolen from other sources, reposts and just lame.

I joined 9gag many years ago and had a lot of laughter scrolling through the memes. As of late it became very clear that the website became a political garbage tool. Avoid for your own sanity.

Shadow banning after reasonable conversations. I found it interesting to watch the dynamics of the platform while it shifted to a more and more intolerant hostile echo chamber. Guess I know now and won't waste more time with them.

Your comments gets shadowbanned even when you are having a sober discussion. This ruins the conversation because you can't possibly know what gets ''deleted'' and what doesn't

Hostile, racist, distressing content and commenting. Something has happened there, some alienation in user base or something. It's not funny anymore. Although can't say is it all social media or just 9gag.

Heavily censored free speech. Admins are insecure and shadow ban your comment from public if you mention words like reddit, bot, admin, imgur, repost, stolen, trending, tumblr, upvote, www., .com and many more.

There are 10 times better meme sites and the only reason why people visited this site was free speech.

Been there for more than 7 years and I have to say that the memes aren't the best anymore, even though rage comics are making a small comeback. I never got a comment deleted. One of the last memedumps where free speech is still allowed.
