I see many negative reviews about this company - however, i ordered a pair of Saucony Peregrine on Saturday 9th March. I received it in Mauritius on Friday 15th (6 days).
I have no issue with them - completely new and as described plus the quick shipping to Mauritius from UK - I cannot expect better

This is a very suspicious website. I placed an order and confirmation was sent to me. Then nothing arrived. Some time later I got a notification from my PayPal saying I had a refund. No explanation from the company. When I emailed them I got an automated response saying they could only communicate with the purchaser (I am the purchaser). I looked on the website and the item was still advertised as in stock. I needed the wetsuit for a race event and it would have been courteous of them to inform me it wasn't in stock so I could arrange an alternative.
Do not count on this place to deliver. I reckon they just hold people's money in their account for a while even though the product has never been in stock.

Very relieved and very pleased with all aspects of their service
Very slow to refund
Have had 2 orders from these and chosen the click and collect option, delivery has been quick on both others (here in 2 days) . However, when it comes to returns although the website says refunds within 72 hours, it appears it is more than 2 weeks before you get refunded. So far I have not had my refund for the return I sent back 13 days ago and they say contact us in another 3 days if you still haven't had it!

Great Service
I ordered a pair of walking boots, returned them for a bigger size and received the replacements all within a week, how good is that?! I’ve read the bad reviews but I cannot fault them for service and price.

Having read a lot of poor reviews I hesitatntly ordered a Montane atomic waterproof jacket, I received prompt emails updating my of the progress of my order including tracking details when it was dispatched, I can honestly say the service I received was excellent, the jacket arrived as described 5 days after the order was placed,,, 5 star service,, I can only recommend 100%

Ordered a click and collect order
Ordered a click and collect order, due to arrive within 3-5 days.. it never arrived. Decided to try again and ordered a next day delivery of the same item to ensure it arrived before my holiday - again never arrived. Customer service said next day delivery can deliver up until 10pm - website on the other hand says 6pm. No news about my items, my refund or what on earth happened. Absolute farce.

By far the worst company we've had the misfortune of dealing with. Take the money, tell you they're out of stock, take 7 days to refund. THEN you place another order which they promise is in stock and they cancel that one too. An appalling service run by clowns and amateurs. BEWARE!!
Terrible experience with this company
Terrible experience with this company. Got notified the product was in a local Millets store for collection. Went in specially to collect and they couldn’t find the item. They reassured me it was delivered and the manager has signed for it. They also confirmed it had not left the store. The staff made numerous calls but still couldn’t locate item! They said they would get item resent. I was then told it was out of stock! They offered a refund, I dont want that, I want the item. Clearly a major issue in the store, one which their security team may want to look at. Bitterly disappointed and hardly a sorry. The staff weren’t really bothered. I’ve emailed the company and it says I will get a response within 48 hrs. It’s an absolute joke.

Ordered a pair of walking boots - first time out in wet weather they leaked.
Sent back for 'inspection' - they advised they couldn't find a fault. Wore again and photographed my socks showing where they leak clearly and contacted them again. Apparently they lied in the letter and they hadn't even inspected the boots the first time i sent them back. They now want them back again to do another 'inspection'.
The customer service is shocking - they have blatently fobbed me off in the letter when they sent the leaking boots back to me and are just stalling for time leaving me with unusable products and no money to get a pair I can use.
I am out of pocket £125 with boots i can't wear unless it is dry as a board outside.
As other comments have said - I've never had this issue before when boots leaked even when a pair leaked 12months after i bought them the retailer refunded straight away! Absolutly shocking retailer.
Good service; good experience
I ordered (for a great price - 40% off) a North Face duffle back from ActivInstinct. I paid 4.99 for 'next day delivery'. The product arrived perfectly but not the next day - it was the day after. I queried this with ActivInstinct and they immediately refunded the amount I had paid for the next day delivery. The customer service was quick and I had no issues with this company and would use them again. There have been a lot of negative reviews of ActivInstinct but my experience was positive. 4/5 just because my order arrived a day late.

For a firm who sells outdoor gear I've never experienced anything like this before. Bought a pair of Berghaus Hillmasters II gtx size 10's after taking advice from a site saying buy a size up. Received the boots, taking the dog out for the late night 5 minute business walk that same day Ok decided it would be a good chance to try them out. After this short walk I realised that they are too big. Had no marks on the boot whatsoever, a little bit of dirt on the sole which because had only worn for 5 minutes was a tiny amount which I cleaned off. I returned the boots asking for a size 9 instead. Never heard anything for over a week, I had to chase them up as to what had happened to my return and was emailed that my return was refused as dirt had been found on the sole. Anyone who is an experienced hiker I strongly advise you to give this company a miss. I usually shop with Blacks who I've never had any problems like this in 20 years. Be warned.

I intend to do everything within my small power to discourage customers from buying products from Activ Instinct. I had to mail my Sorel boots back via the US post office instead of Staples UPS because the return address provided by Activ Instinct was a PO address. I now am starting to wonder if the company itself is shady. They are claiming that they never received the boots. How is this possible if they were sent via US Postal Service? I cannot afford to lose the money I spent on those boots. I don't even like that I had to pay the return shipping, but I acknowledge that that was my own stupidity for buying from a third party and not directly from Amazon in the first place. I will be more careful in the future. And you can be sure that I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM ACTIV INSTINCT AGAIN, AND I WILL DO WHAT I CAN TO MAKE SURE NO ONE ELSE DOES EITHER, EVEN IF I HAVE TO SPEND A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF MY OWN TIME WRITING NEGATIVE REVIEWS. Do not trust this company they do a lot of dodgy stuff and can not be trusted to post things or provide proper return labels. I lost £140 dealing with them. The mistake was unarguably theirs and they still refused refund. Can't trust a word they say!
No issues, speedy delivery
I had a great experience with ActivInstinct. Placed my order on Saturday, and was ready to collect on the Tuesday, 2 days earlier than advertised.
None of these reviews come from verified orders, and ActivInstict dont invite customers to use Trustpilot - so there is a very specific collection of reviews, which did nearly put me off placing my order. However, I used Paypal for my own security, and arranged collection from a store to limit the need to contact anyone, and I am very pleased I did. I got a product much cheaper than anywhere else I have looked, and I have been looking for months.
Hope this helps anyone else debating placing an order.
Oder cancelled without warning
Placed an order, was given a delivery date.
After hearing nothing from ActivInstinct I emailed their customer care address asking when I could expect delivery.
Received an email the next day stating that they 'had to cancel' my order, with no explanation.
Unlike other people who have left reviews, I received a refund almost immediately. This may be because I used paypal rather than my debit card.
Their price was much cheaper than elsewhere, so, if you don't mind potentially wasting a bit of time, may be worth a punt.

I wish that I had actually received the backpack. Then, I'm sure I could write about all the features, and how great it was to have in the Himilayas. But I never received the pack. I payed for it, but it never came.
I tried for months to get them to refund the cost of the backpack, but they did not.
Fortunately, I bought a Gregory 24L and Iove it. Have a look, you might like it better than the Osprey 26 also.
The only reason I gave one star is because I had to. A person is not allowed to post with no stars at all.
