We have now used Affinity Villas for 3 villa holidays and the service every time has been superb. I highly recommend this company.

My complaint, whilst linked to the Villa experience, also relates to Affinity Villas and the lack of ability to review their actual Villas on their site. Without this function new customers cannot see Villa reviews and therefore cannot make a choice based on anything other than location and photos and it is important to know negatives as well as positives to make a decision to spend thousands of pounds..

REVIEW OF VILLA
Casa Eira, near Alvor, Portugal.

I feel a bit bad to be giving this Villa a bad score, everything about this Villa was fantastic, except for one thing, the next door neighbour's dog, it sleeps outside about 20 meters from Casa Eira and barks all night (well every 2-3 hours), set off by the wind and/or the Villa's security lights..

My main complaint to the owner (who to be fair is lovely and you can see she wants to be helpful) is that she admitted to having had this problem for quite some time and said that some people find it a problem and others don't (I suspect it's more likely that some people complain to her and others don't!)..

This was my frustration is that we've spent ££££'s on this villa and this is a problem they should/could have fixed by now and it's clearly been going on for some time. Other than that the only other negative I can think of is there was a security camera IN the Kitchen, which I found very unusual, and a bit creepy to be honest, I know from friends who have these outside their houses that you can log in anytime. I would suggest they remove this, I'm not sure of the legality of having it.

The rest of my feedback is all positive, lovely rooms, Villa in mint condition, location is beautiful, grass is soft and perfect, swimming pool was amazing and we used it every day, the villa had everything you need for an amazing holiday.

COMPLAINT TO AFFINITY VILLAS

My complaint to Affinity Villas is that we were not warned of this issue. If they claim to not know about it then that is exactly their problem - they should know about it, but without any customer review function on the site or feedback request post-holiday of course they will not know. This is a problem for any company and a major flaw for customers wanting to book a villa.

I have never heard that dogs barking through the night are a well known issue in Portugal and this seems a slightly odd response. To have one barking within 20 metres of your window is surely another matter.

There should be a warning that you might enjoy the Villa but you are not guaranteed sleep, especially a warning of the proximity of this barking. Our children were up every single night. Whilst the owner was very nice and reacted to our complaints I strongly feel it’s something that needs sorting out before other Families pay them good money for a sleep deprived holiday. Guests should also be made aware of the security camera in the Kitchen and whether it is off or on, again this is unusual and some may be uncomfortable with it.

If you can guarantee these two things will be solved or at least made clear to other customers before they pay you then I would be willing to remove my review.

Beautiful Villa and excellant sèrvice from Affinity Villas.

The villa lived up to and exceeded the photos. The welcome pack was comprehensive and gratefully received when we arrived. Maid and pool cleaner incredibly professional and thorough. The villa was so quiet but easily accessible by main roads. Silves the nearest town was charming and had everything we needed.

Fabulous villa, better than expected, terrific coastal views and awesome pool, had a wonderful family feel and included everything you could possibly want plus the location was close to everywhere including Loule, a lovely old market town. The housekeeper came most days and was a lovely friendly lady. Great service with Affinity and would definitely book with them again.

A lovely villa and all went according to plan

Our second time in an Affinity villa and just like the first time it did not disappoint us. The villa was fantastic and the service from the management team was first class. The pool was stunning and the villa was spotlessly clean. A fantastic welcome pack was the finishing touch. will be booking with Affinity again as they are a company we know we can trust. Well done Affinity, see you next year!

Best and no other way would I choice another company

We were really pleased with our private villa in Quinta do Sol', Carvoeiro. Our stay was amazing thanks to the really helpful and polite staff. The villa was in excellent condition and pool was maintained on a regular basis. Thank you for making our holiday a memorable one. Will love to come back again next year.

Affinity Villas provided a superb service and would highly recomend them.

We found all Affinity Villas staff very friendly, helpful and efficient. The local staff very quickly responded to queries and a minor fault with the smoke alarm was put right within the hour of reporting the fault. Due to the company staff our holiday plans went like clockwork.

Excellent villa and fantastic service from Affinity

Used Afinity Villas a few times now, always lovely villas to high standards, will continue to use them...wonderful holidays.

Affinity villas is a great company to deal with. Villas are exactly what you expect from the pictures, wonderful. Staff are efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend booking a villa with them you will not be disappointed .
