It was my second time arranging a tour through African Budget Safaris. Communication with Bronwyn was smooth from the start. All questions were promptly answered.
Paying large sums of money online can be concerning. I found that the systems put by African Budget Safaris are reliable and contain security traits. There are no surprises or last-minute charges; everything was clear through the process. They offer some of the most value-for-money competitive offers.
From my experience, the company does a thorough job of working with local tour companies that ensure guests have a contextualised experience during their tours.
I can very much recommend arranging a tour with African Budget Safaris; a reliable a serious company.

We flew from Dar Es Salem to Nyerere National Park for 3 nights in Lake Manze Safari camp and then another flight to go to Mdonya Old River Safari camp. The flights saved hours of driving and we saw wild life right from landing.
The camps were very quiet without modern trappings; just comfortable tents surrounded by wild life and great meals by candle light. Guides and drivers were fantastic and very knowledgeable.
All flights were on nearly on time and after the safaris we went to Zanzibar, staying in two luxurious hotels, quite different to each other and totally different locations but both memorable for all the right reasons.

I was so lucky to find this company, I was looking for a last minute trip and, although the booking period had closed, Harriet worked her magic and got me a place. The trip itself was unbelievable (Botswana Wildlife, Okavango Delta & Victoria Falls Safari). Camping amongst the animals (not in a park, just out in the wild), listening to hyenas and elephants walking past in the middle of the night was pretty scary, but what an experience. We were well fed with food cooked on a campfire and kept really busy with bushwalks, swimming in the delta and various other activities.

This was my 3rd time travelling with African Budget Safaris and that says a lot right there. This trip was a 5 day Kruger National Park safari and it all went according to plan. The accommodations were clean and safe, the guides were spectacular and the vegetarian meals were tasty and plentiful. Claire Monson is an absolute gem to work with, she responds to questions and has great follow-up advice. I had a concern about one booked activity due to a knee injury I sustained right before travelling and Claire took care of it immediately. I will definitely travel with ABS again and highly recommend everyone check out their website for great trip ideas within many price ranges.

Just returned from an 8 day walking safari, Luangwa valley. I had the best time of my life.Amazing wildlife, lovely guides, fantastic food, and the camps were all wonderful. A big thank you to Bronwyn for all her help.

Truly a satisfying experience. I’ve to thank Daniel from African Budget Safari for providing me with right package after understanding my preferences. Although my initial trip got cancelled due to Covid restrictions, Daniel managed to reserve my trip for the future and I finally managed to get on to the safari.
The tremisana lodge and treehouse lodge were simply great . Simple lodges but felt homely . The staffs in the lodges were great in their hospitality.
The safaris were the most satisfying part . Managed to see lots of animals in their natural habitat.

Overall totally satisfying . Thank you African Budget Safaris.

We've just had an amazing trip to Botswana; Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve. We went to Delta Camp and then Kwai River Lodge. The trip exceeded all our expectations. The guides were amazing and exceptional at doing what they love best.
Claire Monson at African Budget Safari was organsied, efficient and very helpful during the selection and booking processes.
It's a hassle-free process; I highly recommend them.

Claire Monson planned and helped our family of 7 (ages 78-16) enjoy a very varied, exciting and most memorable trip to South Africa after a very unpleasant experience with another canceled travel company. Absolutely the trip of a lifetime; Claire Monson made sure every detail was covered and all contingencies considered and was always responsive and helpful; quite a feat considering the west coast of the USA is 9 time zones from her office! We were a group of seven and we felt that we were treated like family with every transfer, lodge stay, and safari tour. When something happened outside of ABS's control (like the long wait for our helicopter tour), the helicopter company made things right for us. A truly magical trip we will always remember!

Can't recommend ABS enough. We were lucky to have Claire pick up our online enquiry; she was fantastic, helping us put together four different safari activities in four different countries in Africa (safari in Kruger, safari in the Masai Mara for the great migration, four day tour around Victoria Falls and Chobe, gorilla tracking in Uganda). We went to Claire with a rough idea of a couple of things we wanted to do over a range of dates, and she linked everything up beautifully, creatively adding to our ideas and absolutely nailing the logistics. It was so simple. The Vic Falls tour was an add on we almost didn't do, and it ended up being a highlight! Worth saying that the name "African Budget Safaris" is a bit of a misnomer; our safari lodges and tour companies on the ground were truly exceptional, not at all what you might associate with the word "budget". We did feel like we took a bit of a risk booking so many tours through the same online organisation... eggs all in one basket sort of thing. But we are so grateful that we did it!! It was the trip of a lifetime. Highly recommend taking your ideas to ABS and letting them draw up your dream itinerary. Thank you so much to Claire!

We booked onto a 5 day Victoria Falls/Chobe (Botswana) Safari with ABS to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary - it was a trully memorable experience to celebrate our special anniversary. Throughout the whole experience from booking through to making all the arrangements our consultant Browyn from ABS was attentive, informative and responded quickly to all e-mail enquiries including a requested on-line zoom call to answer any queries we had - this was our first experience dealing with ABS and it certainly won't be our last - we have found a company that we can trully trust with our holiday plans. We received room upgrades, flowers and bubbly in our room on arrival and were sung to at tables as well as watching spectacular African sunsets - such happy memories were made on this trip thank you for your service.

We appreciate the formula of 12 maximum people. We appreciate to be involved in preparation of food and washing deshes, that formula create unite of the group. We choose accommodated travel, and the lodges were very good. Thank you Claire

I am here to express my high praise for African Budget Safaris and also for their travel consultant Claire. I found the ABS website by conducting Internet searches for camping safaris in Botswana. I spent many enjoyable hours perusing their very interesting and informative website, fueling my wanderlust, before I actually contacted them, which was in May 2021. In my initial message, I wrote that it probably would be two years or so before I would be able to go on a safari, but that I wanted to start making some rudimentary plans and was hoping they could help me. I received a prompt and friendly reply from Claire, and she provided much helpful information. I began planning in earnest in the summer of 2022, with plans to make the trip in May-June 2023. Claire was so patient with me and answered every question I sent her way. When it came time to book, Claire took care of everything (other than booking my flights, which I preferred to do myself), including arranging for ground transportation to and from several airports in southern Africa and between my various destinations. My trip lasted 3-1/2 weeks, and Claire helped me from start to finish, including being readily available for me to contact if needed during the trip itself. In addition to spending most of my time in Botswana (which included among other things a fabulous 11-day mobile tented camping safari from Maun to Kasane, with two or three nights at four private camps in between), I also spent time in South Africa and in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, having many fun and exciting activities and adventures wherever I went. It was so helpful having one "go to" person who booked everything with the various hosts and operators and assisted with the entire trip. I highly recommend Claire and African Budget Safaris.
