Had a very bad experience with Agoda which will defintely impact on how and if I use them in future.

I booked a property in Hawaii and when I contacted the hotel to confirm that it was a 55m2 studio with an ocean view, they said no a 29m2 without view.

I have chased AGODA up a dozen times now and they have even changed my booking so that it no longer says 55m2 ocean view room.

Bottom line is they were deceptive in what they advertised, made me pay more for nothing and then downgraded me to the lowest possible room in the hotel.

Not sure what they are up to but my trust facto has gone through the floor and if I didn't chase up myself I would have arrived and been given a tiny room without a view, contrary to what I booked and paid for and AGODA are not prepared to rectify their mess up.

Bottom line be wary of any bookings with Agoda and confirm direct with the hotel, not with Agoda, they are useless when it comes to customer service and can't be trusted.

I booked a multi-day hotel stay through Agoda, and it was a total nightmare! A glitch on their website booked the wrong dates, and they absolutely refused to give me a refund. The hotel was very forgiving about the mistake, but Agoda was not and still denied my refund request! If you have any issues at all, Agoda's dispute specialists will not help you—they will look for any excuse to keep your money! I will never use Agoda again and will be escalating this case."

Very disappointing experience with Agoda. During booking, the price was clearly shown as $401 USD, but afterward they suddenly tried to charge me $421 because of a so-called “5% rate adjustment” fee. This feels extremely misleading and dishonest.

To make things worse, Agoda doesn’t provide a proper option to switch the payment currency to IDR to avoid these unnecessary extra charges. I contacted customer support hoping for a solution, but they were completely unhelpful. They refused to change the payment currency and also wouldn’t allow me to change the payment method.

Terrible customer service and hidden extra costs. Be careful when booking with Agoda because the final amount may be very different from the price they originally show.

Agoda weren’t very helpful with a disappointing stay a couple months ago, so it seems their customer support is lacking. However their app is good and hotel availability is strong.

I really enjoy booking hotels through Agoda. The booking process is easy and fast, and my experiences have always been satisfying. I also appreciate how quick and hassle-free the cancellation process is. Highly recommended for convenient hotel bookings.

Went on to Internet to book a room. Agoda came up the best price. It also had all the items I required in the booking.i have not used it yet as occasion is not until August

Worst OTA and NIGHTMARE FOR FLIGHT AGENT.

The missile war makes my flight got cancelled (book at 28/02/2026 and got cancelled at 30/02/2026), refund goes 3months waiting and they just refund at 28/05/2026 my tickets 1/3 from the full amount... Even it's not fully 1/3.

Its FORCE MAJUERE AND YOU WASH YOUR HANDS????

Very disappointing experience with Agoda customer support.

Due to the exceptional travel disruptions and uncertainty during the planned travel dates, I had no choice but to cancel my travel plans for safety and operational concerns. The situation was publicly covered across international and official news platforms, with widespread reports about disruptions, delays, cancellations, and instability affecting travelers.

However, Agoda support kept requesting “supporting documents” that simply do not exist in such circumstances, instead of reviewing the overall situation reasonably and professionally.

As someone working in the hospitality industry, I fully understand policies and procedures, but customer support should also apply common sense, flexibility, and practical judgement during extraordinary situations.

The handling of this case was extremely frustrating and far below the level of service expected from a global travel platform.

Very shady website. Double charge me for a room 2 times in 1 week, causing my bank account to be overdrawn. Do not trust them for anything, no matter what prices they are advertising, they cannot be trusted.Go with any other booking website besides them.

Very disappointing first experience with Agoda. I had a confirmed booking at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort during Eid, only to be informed two days before arrival that the hotel was “fully booked.” Surprisingly, the hotel was still showing available on Agoda, and I have screenshots as proof.

The proposed alternative was not comparable to the original resort experience we specifically booked for. This completely disrupted our Eid vacation plans at the last minute.
I have used Booking.com for many years without facing such an issue. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously affected my trust in Agoda’s booking reliability and customer handling.

DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE TOTAL SCAM. Booked an apartment nothing when we turned up even though multiple times I tried to contact them! Got in touch with the actual host and management company and hadn’t heard of this company. DO NOT PART ANY MONEY. WE WILL PURSUE OUR REFUND AND CONTINUE TO GET THIS COMPANY REMOVED!
