Business class experience Paris to Bangkok
My wife and I flew Air France from Paris to Bangkok business class on September 5th #026 flight no AF1669. This appeared to be an older aircraft as allocated seat had been scuffed about giving an initial impression that this aircraft had not been looked after. The entertainment system had a fault throughout the aircraft reducing the access to all entertainment systems to around 20%. There was no apology from the flight crew although the cabin crew tried but failed to get the system operating. The flight I found to be uncomfortable with the seat not providing the right support in all forms either as a seat or fully flat bed. The cabin crew were generally helpful and unobtrusive, a good point and the food was superb. This was the best thing about this flight. I should also say that the return business class flight was a great improvement on the outward flight with the same high standard of food although for lunch chicken was offered and also for dinner. The entertainment system was also excellent. My overall assessment of both flights was not of a standard that I would expect from business class and consequently would not recommend this carrier. Disappointing.
Extremely disappointing experience
Extremely disappointing experience with Air France at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
My girlfriend and I were charged over $200 CAD to check our carry-on bags, despite travelling to Europe with the exact same luggage on KLM without any issues. What makes this particularly frustrating is that Air France and KLM operate under the same parent company, Air France-KLM, and have the same published combined cabin baggage allowance.
When I questioned the inconsistency, the Air France representative was incredibly rude, dismissive and unprofessional. Her exact response was “Do not fly Air France then.” When I requested her name to formally document the interaction, she refused to identify herself.
To make matters worse, another Air France employee at the departure gate explained that passengers connecting through Paris generally aren’t subjected to the same baggage checks as passengers originating in Paris. This raises further questions about how consistently the policy is enforced.
I understand airlines have baggage policies, but there’s a difference between enforcing a policy and treating paying customers with basic respect and professionalism.
The lack of consistency, accountability and customer service was unacceptable. I’ve submitted a formal complaint to Air France and expect the matter to be addressed.
Very disappointing experience from a major international airline. I would think twice before flying Air France again.
Rediculas security staff in paris airport.
Rediculas security staff, so rude to passengers. LHR to BLR connection in paris 1.5hours, as they LHR flight delayed and we need to take bus and train to get the gates, all through traffic and the worse secueity they never help to pass the security check, we request we will late to catch our connection flight, the security staff never help, no even check our flight timing, finally we go in front of other passengers and just done security, still they found something in bag, and one of our member run to the gate and inform the gate staff. As they are so kind to help and finally in time we get in our aircraft, never been these aituation in any airlines or any airport.Security staff should helpfull to their passengers.
One of the worst airlines
One of the worst airlines. Booked by my bro and paid for extra leg room, was assigned a seat. A few days later they rebooked but did not assign the extra leg room even after having taken extra cash for extra leg room. Stashing him in a middle row seat at the back..nkt.
They never answered emails or calls.
On visiting their office they asked us to report early to the airport to sort it out with their ticketing agents.
It turned out to be a waste of time and a great inconvinience. Very frustrating experience.
Why take money for a service that you do not intend to provide. Choose air France at your own peril. Shambles!!
Theft
The entire experience was terrible as our dog was injured and needed emergency surgery and one of us had to stay behind to care for our paralyzed dog. I asked for a refund or a credit for a traveler and was declined and was not allowed to speak to and supervisor. No considerations made and on top of that the seat was broken, so they would of never received their business class seat as business class
Terrible company
Terrible company. Stay away. The moment they got yuor money they don't care about you anymore. I can't fly for medical reasons. They want to pocket my money and not to give a voucher. They sold my tickets full price buy would not refund anything
AIR FRANCE GAVE US FALSE INFORMATION !
Wanted to go Paris to Birmingham for Christmas with our little Chiquaqua. Called reservations who said we could take our dog on board the Airbus320 flights. He also said we would have to book the flight first then call back reservations to put our dog on the flight. So we did that but when we called to reserve our dog, the next reservationist said we could NOT because customs in UK would not accept the dog at Birmingham Airport.
So we asked for a refund because of the false, misleading information Air France Reservations had given us. This was 4 August. The new Air France Rep assured us we would get a refund. I kept checking my reservation to see it was still there in the following weeks. Today, I saw my last Paypal payment had gone through so I checked to see what Air France had done.
I was furious and upset to see that my Air France account had NO reservation for the flight on it and my res number could not be found. We trawled our emails for any sign of information confirming the cancellation or about a refund. NOTHING. Trying to put a complaint on the Air France website was useless because, it asks for your reservation number and the site claims there is NO SUCH NUMBER. Nearly £300 down the drain because I cannot even put a COMPLAINT about it. I will NEVER use Air France again.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The agent on the phone hung up on me when I kindly requested to speak to her supervisor when she was unable to provide a satisfactory resolution to bumping us from Business to Premium Economy.
The “system” was blamed for the change, and I was told no human could make a change. When my husband called, they told him we were moved because they’d upgraded other passengers to our seat. An alarming practice when we paid full fare for both our round trip tickets!
In the end our direct flight was changed to a connecting via Amsterdam.
We’ve just found out that we have again been bumped for our return. At first try we were again hung up on with no call back when my husband asked to speak through the proposed change with me.
We will never fly Air France again.
Flight delayed from Terminal 4
Flight delayed from Terminal 4, no proper support on arrival to get connecting flight. Had suffer through extremely long queues to go through security checks again even though we spoke with several officials that we had a connecting flight about to take off. The whole experience has been horrible from waking up at 4.30am to take a schedule flight for 08.55am to now having to take 2 extra flights to get to a destination that should have arrived at almost 3pm US time. The non chanlant attitude of staff is the worst, whilst I understand there isn't alot staff can do about delays more customer service care and consideration should be given to paying customers who have also made arrangements to get to thier destinations. €22 is a slap in the face for 2 adults to have lunch at the pleasure and inconvenience for the delays caused by airfrance. I do hope the service improves but in the meantime I will not be recommending this airline for transit / multiple stop options to anyone so they dont expirence the same fate.
Worst platform check in
First and last time I will travel with this crap airlines!!! Booked a flight from Malta to New York via delta airlines. Horrible booking and check in experience what a mess to do the check in with this f…ing France email notification and platform not checking properly!!! No more one is enoghy!!!
Very disappointing experience with Air…
Very disappointing experience with Air France.
My flight to Paris was delayed, causing me to miss my connecting flight to Orlando and forcing me to spend the night in Paris.
The next day, my Paris-to-Orlando flight was delayed by about two hours, and Air France changed the departure gate five times. We had to keep moving from one gate to another, which made an already frustrating trip even more stressful and exhausting.
I understand that delays can happen, but the repeated gate changes and lack of a smooth, organized travel experience were unacceptable. After everything we went through over two days, I expected much better communication and organization from an airline like Air France.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Air France and would think twice before flying with them again.

Extremely disappointing…
I was Very disappointed with the way Air France has handled my complaint.
Following the cancellation of a Paris–Riyadh flight and my downgrade, Air France confirmed in writing that I would receive a refund amounting to 75%. The online tracking system also indicated that the refund was being processed.
The case was then closed on the grounds that I had not provided my boarding passes even though I had never received any written request asking me to submit them, despite repeatedly asking for the necessary documents and requirements to be provided in writing.
Nevertheless, I had the case reopened and provided the requested boarding passes.
And today? 2 months later… The case has once again been closed as “resolved”, but I still have not received any refund.
After numerous calls, follow-ups, and contradictory information, I find it particularly concerning that a complaint can be marked as “resolved” when the refund confirmed in writing has never been paid…..what a shame that they should be run after to reimburse people money !!!!!! 2 months and still nothing !!!!
Dysfunctional customer service
I bought a non-refundable Air France ticket from New York to Wrocław for $644.91, then changed it to a refundable fare and paid $479.50 more. When I later had to cancel, I phoned first and asked exactly what would happen to my money. The agent said $479.50 would go back to my card and the remainder would become a travel voucher. I asked specifically, twice, and made sure the agent confirmed this. Then, once I canceled, the $479.50 came back. But the voucher never came. Customer service would simply tell me to "wait" and "it's probably in the process". I was promised follow-up emails and calls, but no one ever followed up. The way they took so much of my time and were so dysfunctional and unable / uninterested in solving the problem was even worse than losing money itself.
It took two complaints to the US Department of Transportation before they were forced to issue it as a "one-time exception." The kind of experience that makes you want to avoid this airline even if they sell their tickets at half the price.
I fly fairly frequently and on…
I fly fairly frequently and on different airlines. Air France is horrible. Customer service is nonexistent. On a recent flight from Munich to the US with Air France the originating flight was delayed 3x. There was no one providing rebooking service, the gate attendant who finally showed up was dismissive and unhelpful. Most of the passengers were missing connecting flights and no one from Air France made any attempt to help. After 5 hours with their customer service partner Delta Aiines They rebooked me on another airline for the next day. Never again!
I have a flight changed to 6th October…
I have a flight changed to 6th October 2026 due to the passing away of my cousin. I called air France on Saturday 3rd October to pay for my changed flight. The lady I spoke to said that I can’t use that ticket but I stead will get a voucher in return. I insisted but she said there is nothing she could do.
After I went online, I saw my trip is still there for the 6th. I woke up this morning, I got an email to do my check in. I clicked on the link, it says I should contact Air France.
Airfrance system is either corrupt or the staff are corrupt. Staff will tell you one thing and the system says different.
My booking reference number: XM58FW. Anybody can check it and see exactly what I’m talking about. What a wicked unprofessional they are.
Worst ever just bumped me and my wife…
Worst ever just bumped me and my wife from business class to premium economy after booking our trip 5 months ago. Totally unacceptable no only that they didn’t want to do anything to fix the issue ,never would I recommend such a terrible air line definitely not customer focused at all. How they stay in business I will never understand

This is the worst Airline at the moment. Their flights are always delayed for nothing less than 2 hrs. I have experienced this on 4 consecutive flights, I thought they will get better but they kept proving themselves useless each time I fly with them. I will never use them again, horrible airline don't use
The conpany is so greedy and careless about safety and comfort of passengers
The conpany is so greedy, they fill the aft of the aircraft with as many seats as possible in order for their executives to show profits and receive a big bonus. I was given seat 42 F which is the secon from last row where the supporting legs for row 41 were between my legs, i had no wsy to put my leg except in the aisle when a flight attendant pushing the food cart after finished servinh was pushing it fast towards the aft of the airplane and struck my knee so hard, and instead of apologizing the supervisor told me that i should put my left leg under the seat in front of me which is impossible. It's as you are riding a horse with the supporting legs for eow 41 is completely between my legs
Air France,never again
A horrible experience flying with Air France, worst travel ever in over 40 years of flying abroad. Rude staff, extremely cramped seating with flight staff constantly bumping into me as they passed me by sitting in aisle seat. Passenger in front had seat fully reclined, I asked staff would they tell her to put it in upright position, they said they could only do that when meal was served. My legs sticking out sideways for a 6 hour flight. One hour and twenty minutes to disembark from plane and get through security at CDG Paris. 2 gates open,6 closed.Never again.
Upgrades denied even though we paid
Family of 4 traveling from CDG to ATL. We upgraded to business class the night before, got seat assignments and credit card and miles were charged. When we got to the airport, only two of us were upgraded and we were told that it was a completely full overbooked flight. When we boarded, we noticed that there were several empty seats in business. The flight attendants would not move the rest of our family up even though I had documentation I had purchased the upgrade. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service from Air France and the stress and frustration they caused us on our flight home. I will try to avoid flying Air France in the future.
