Worst arrivals airport
Worst arrivals airport. Waiting in queue for 45 mins, only one guy at passport control for EE. Why??? How is it possible? No respect for own citizens. Non eu went 3 times faster, disgrace
If I could put a zero star rating I…
If I could put a zero star rating I would, absolute shambles of an airport. Was here in plenty of time but all of a sudden there was a mad rush for passport control, the queue was all the way round by duty free. Our flight wasn't even boarding but we decided to get in the queue, it went to boarding then final call 50 mins later at which point we asked staff to prioritise us, we were moved to another queue where more people were pushed in front of us. Ultimately we missed our flight due to the shambles of this airport. It has cost us £300 for replacement flights.
Worst airport I’ve ever been to.
Worst airport I’ve ever been to.
Five passport control staff for about 900 passenger’s, digital passport terminals not in use.
We had hand luggage but some carousels were full and nobody there to collect their luggage as they would still be in the que. Hardly any staff so anyone could walk away with a suitcase.
Getting a train ticket was the same. Long que for 4 machines took 25 mins. Renf App to buy a ticket didn’t work.
The train to Malaga was packed which is not unusual but stunk of stale air. No air con
Not the best introduction to Spain

Passport control chaos at Malaga
Passport control on arrival at Malaga airport is chaotic. When I arrived in March and April, I had to queue for an hour on both occasions. The airport management must get its act together, particularly as it'll soon be the busier summer season.
This is one OF THE WORSE AIRPORTS IN…
This is one OF THE WORSE AIRPORT IN EUROPE, SHAME ON YOU MALAGA! If there would be 0 or - 5 i would rate it as - 5. Horrible experience, stuff doesn't care at all, they make jokes of customers and standing around without actually helping people. I came to airport March 22nd. There was 4 ladies by check-ins with piece of paper telling their colleagues what to do. They had no idea and they left passangers waiting hours in ques without any movements or knowledge where to send them.
I came to airport 2,5hr before and i nearly missed my flight. Absolutely disorganised mess i must say. Shame on you MALAGA!
I was left in wrong ques over and hour not moving i had to interupted them 4 times and asked what is going on?! Main lady with peace of "paper" told me that i still have a time even i had 20 min until boarding!! Shocking. I had to asked other poeple in a long ques to let me through a different check-in beacause i had to still go through customs, x rays and passport control. If i wouldn't be begging people to let me go i wouldn't make it. Instead of let workers to be wondering around have no clue how to manage ques they should JUMP on checking desks and speed up ques. This is UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR in a such international airport!! THEY DO NOT CARE!!!

Had to queue for over an hour to get through passport control. Only half the pods manned. Shocking.
Very uncomfortable seating when you…
Very uncomfortable seating when you need to rest between transfers. This is true with most Spanish airports. VERY limited number of charging stations compared to other EU airports.
Great service from airport staff
I am suffering from a knee injury and forced to use a walking stick,I did not ask for assistance at this airport but as soon as the staff saw me they put me straight through passport control, I then managed ro be in the wrong area for my flight and due to the long walk was exhausted, a female airport staff member stopped and immediately had a buggy take me to the area where I should have been and arranged priority boarding.I dont know this ladies name but it was about 11.30.a.m. and she was going to make some announcements, she was dressed in black with green.
I cannot praise this airport enough for the way the treated me,
Malaga airport assistance not trustable
My mother needed assistance in Malaga airport. The assistant personel drove her in wheel-chair to a gate and left her there. But, that was the wrong gate, and no personell was near, so she missed the fligt!
The airport is so confusing and there…
The airport is so confusing and there are NO staff on hand to help at all. It is an empty airport where you have to navigate your way to the gate. When I did try to finally find a staff, he didn't understand a word at all despite trying to use simple words. I using vueling airline and went to passport control but after that all the doors were shut as you couldn't go back put again which was so weird - very weird system and not thought out at all so it made my experience overly distressed to be honest. Staff do not smile nor are helpful. Very disappointing to say the least. Also to in order improve your service, have english signs and symbols so all of your tourists understand. If not then have people at the Info desk rather than empty seats.
Passport control
Passport control, again. Long, slow queues. Need some better management, as they know expected numbers. No excuse,
passport control wait 30mins 10pm 050224
rude staff+no english in security
It is always rude staff in the security that aren’t service minded at all. A lot of them can’t even speak English and can therefor not give information to the passengers. Every staff at an airport should be able to communicate with their customers, especially in the security.
I was doing my check in at Ryanair…
I was doing my check in at Ryanair Priority Desk on 02nd Feb at 04.45 am.
The officer was same time speaking with three of her gollagues and did not look at me, asked my passport but speaking with other people same time.
When i asked her to do my check in and concentrate to get my luggage in plain,
She simply told me that she is doing her job.
Really hope that my luhggage will arrive.
Bad service, not priority service that i had specially paid extra, dont like this.
Expensive
Food is very expensive. 2 small ham baguettes 1 tea 1 smalll water. was €34. Its an airport rip off
“My recent stressful experience at Málaga Spain…
“My recent experience at Málaga Spain Airport was marred by a distressing encounter at the security point. The personnel were notably aggressive and pushy, making the process unnecessarily stressful. Despite diligently adhering to the Travel size regulations for my cosmetics, the stringent requirement of fitting all items into a single clear sandwich bag posed a significant challenge. The one-bag-per-person rule, unbeknownst to us and not communicated by the airline during check-in, added to the frustration, making it nearly impossible to accommodate all essentials. The lack of prior information about this policy significantly impacted what should have been a smoother travel experience.”
Waiting an hour and ten minutes to go…
Waiting an hour and ten minutes to go through passport control. Absolute disgrace. Shame on aena for not having adequate passport control personnel to deal with incoming flights.
Unwelcomed at Malaga airport again
The security staff are so rude and irritated doing their jobs that they wouldn't have if if wasnt for tourists, they were particularly rude at passport security Gate C around lunchtime, the woman checking the passports was continually talking to the gentleman next to her, he didn't get the chance to speak back, no conversation with her customers didn't make eye contact at all and her queue was the slowest. We have not been back to Malaga for a few years and have decided not to go back again!
It’s the departure that’s the problem
It’s the departure that’s the problem, we’ve taken all your money the last week and now you can all sod off! Herded through passport control like cattle. Staff rolling their eyes when telling people what to do in Spanish yet most people were British . Dropping people off on crutches at the gates where there were two dozen seats for a flight of two hundred people . They had no where to sit until people offered them their seats.
Get more staff. Get staff with manners If they can’t speak English then get signs up . Don’t get staff that roll their eyes and don’t smile. Get enough seats and treat people well . This is the second worst airport I’ve ever been too, only Palma was worse ( again Spanish) .
You know how busy your going to be all flights are planned , and you get enough money so sort it!!
