Beaware safety checklist that comes with the Trek FX2 recommends a check that may not show you have a loose wheel. Also if picking up a ready made up bike from AJCycles the wheels may need checking before riding, don't assume they are tight enough. The instructions that came with my Trek bike recommend a check 'hitting the wheel on the top to see if the wheel is loose, moves or drops out'. But for a Thru axle bike you are simply hitting the axle against the frame, so the wheel may not move and certainly wont drop out. I picked up my assembled bike from AJCycles and about 4 weeks later the wheel came loose. I fell off and broke my arm in two places. Although politely dealt with the response was that they were not in any way responsible for the state the bike was provided in or the instructions. I checked the instructions or the Trek website yesterday and they are still the same.

Very rude member of staff at the desk that moaned to another member of staff that we wanted to access the shop as soon as it opened as it was convenient for me with young children!! Put me off buying my childs bike from them!

I booked my almost new bike in for its first service. The gears just needed a slight realignment, and things needed to be tightened. I won't take it back for any further services. It cost £50 and was returned in a worse state. The gears are now very clunky and when I took it out straight afterwards there was a strange sound like something rubbing on the tyre. They had forgotten to clip one of the wires back in and it was rubbing against the wheel. Plus, although not a major problem but they had left oily marks over the back forks. Not what I would expect for £50 and I definitely will not be making that mistake again!

Took my trek road bike in for a basic service, £50 was told the brakes needed bleeding, extra £20 no issues previously, first ride out after, no obvious change to braking, 3/4 of the smaller gears would not engage correctly worked fine before taking it in. Resulted in 4 journeys to drop off and collect the bike, will think twice next time

I used to do my business with them when they were at Higham, they had a good range of bikes and the service was quite good, now however they seem to vibe only interested in E bikes at a price way above what I can afford. That’s how things are now, unless you want to spend at least two thousand on a bike, and that’s their cheapest e bike you are fudged.

I have purchased several parts for my 2022 Triumph Thruxton and could not be happier with the prompt response and attention to detail. Thank you, AJ Cycles, for the excellent customer Service.

Outstanding service! Friendly, professional and prompt service from Jen and Chris. New wheels, sprocket, tyres etc ordered, some parts from Holland. All arrived within just a few days and were fitted while I waited.
Also checked my Ebike over and a quick check on the Trek diagnostics machine.

I paid over £3000 for my bike and after five days I was have problem with chain and I’m explained was wrong with my bike they say they will do service and after two days I’m receive message my bike is ready

Dealt with Jen, who bearing in mind the current situation isn't even supposed to be on the shop floor she's in accounts. Very knowledgeable, happy to spend time explaining things I didn't know about road cycling. Full confidence buying from them and I will deffo be using for any cycling needs again

Great service from the staff at AJ cycles especially Freddy I called to say my bikes front forks were making a noise every time they compressed he said to bring in they would have a look did this and it was the headset that was making the noise which Freddy sorted there and then

Visited AJ CYCLES with a view to gaining some information on E-Bikes as very keen to purchase, greeted by a sales person eating his lunch from under the counter not really wanting to help....said I couldn't come in due to COVID19 plus had little stock to show me, therefore took my details and promised to email me everything I needed that afternoon......AND THAT WAS THE LAST I EVER HEARD.....CLEARLY NOT INTERESTED so I've ordered my £3K bike from Mark at PEDAL BARN in Kettering (exceptional service all round) - STEER CLEAR of AJ CYCLES - VERY POOR ATTITUDE TO CUSTOMER SERVICE - ONE MISERABLE STAR GIVEN

Purchased a bike last Year and received excellent friendly first class service.
so went back a week ago and purchased one for my wife during this hardest of times (corvid 19) I ordered the bike and it came on time and it was a upgraded version of the one we ordered as the one we want wasn’t available right away.
They delivered the bike to my home following all the government’s distance guidelines I can’t thank or recommend them enough I will be ordering another bike for my son very soon and will most definitely use AJ CYCLES AGAIN

Prefer the previous 2 stores to Rushden Lakes, but staff are great. Feel safe trusting what mechanics tell me.
