Strongly advise against using Allied
Similar to many other customer reviews, I can only strongly advise against using Allied (and their subcontractors, like Krumpf in Germany).
Due to our work, we have relocated internationally several times, but the move handled by Allied/Krumpf was by far the only one that turned out to be a very negative experience. Both the moving process itself and the subsequent handling of damages were highly unprofessional and extremely disappointing.
We relocated from China to Germany using a 20-foot container. We deliberately selected a higher-priced offer that included professional furniture packing, a full-service package, and transport insurance.
Unfortunately, the outcome of the move was
unacceptable:
• Five pieces of furniture were damaged, some of them severely.
• One package was delivered to another customer. After two days, the same package was returned to us after it had already been opened by that customer.
• Another package containing very valuable and highly personal items was missing for three months. After that time, another customer informed Allied/Krumpf that the package had been delivered to them by mistake. Allied's/Krumpf’s recommendation was that I should personally contact this customer and arrange to collect the package myself. This was completely unacceptable.
Allied/Krumpf refused to take responsibility for any of the damages or delivery errors, despite the clear evidence of their responsibility. Instead, we were simply referred to the transport insurance provider, whose claim process was handled by a representative in India.
Based on this experience, I strongly advise others to avoid this company. In all our years of international relocations, we have never experienced anything like this.
Poor communication
Contacted the team approximately 7 days prior to pickup to request the earliest possible time for that day and did not receive a response until the day before pickup, and they only had later times available. Also did not pick up my phone calls on multiple occasions including on the day of my pickup.
The team arrived 40 minutes later than promised (2:40pm) when we initially agreed on 12-2pm. All items were packed well and efficiently.
I surprisingly received my items 10/3 (today) with no call from the team beforehand. Thankfully I was home but I usually am not at that time of the day. I am overall happy with the state of my items but incredibly disappointed in the lack of communication.
Job completed in quick time
We had rain that day so they sent extra people to help with the packing made for a quick turn around.
Great communication
Great communication, on time and respectful interactions.
I want to share my recent experience…
I want to share my recent experience with Alliance Movers and Sirva during my move from Perth to Victoria.
Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. When my furniture was delivered, the delivery person informed me that the container had fallen during transport. As a result, several of my furniture items were damaged. My belongings were in good condition before the move, so this clearly happened during handling or transportation.
What upset me even more was the response from the company. When I raised the issue, they refused to properly review the situation and told me to fix everything myself. There was no accountability, no proper investigation, and no support offered.
Moving interstate is already stressful, and this situation made it much worse. This has been the worst moving service experience I have had in Australia. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone.
I hope they improve their handling process and customer service in the future so others do not go through the same experience.
Thanks for everything!
An interstate move is a lot to plan, Allied made the process as easy as it can be. Your sales, office and removals staff were all amazingly helpful and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Allied to anyone

On time, excellent communication, friendly and professional
Most disappointing removalist
Most disappointing removalist. Untrustworthy. Dishonest! Bad packing . Lots of breakage. Worst communication ever! We do not recommend their service Internationally. No idea of vehicle permits etc. Overcharging and no apologies!
Beware ! Of Allied!
Irresponsible customer service
Moved a one-bedroom unit from VIC to NSW. Gave me a three hour window for pickup and they were late. Promised that my couch will be wrapped by heavy duty plastic but was not wrapped. Delivered dirty. When I asked for any compensation they replied as if they didn't even read my email and just said my stuff was delivered and then practically ghosted me afterward. Ridiculous.
Delivery date was "first come first serve" so if you can't book a slot if they don't have availabilities, you'll end up paying for their storage fees from a day they decide your stuff reaches NSW until the day they can accomodate you for a delivery.
Responsive, efficient, affordable, highly recommend
Super satisfied with allied moving. I had my stuff moved from Brisbane to regional NSW, the whole process from pick up to drop off took around 3 weeks. Didnt have to worry about a single thing. Admin was responsive to my emails while the removalists were kind and efficient. I was supposed to be there for the drop off but I couldnt make it and they still managed to pack everything away to the storage neatly. The moving bags were teared a little which is understandable from all that moving. But nothing missing so far and overall really happy with the service. 100% recommended.
Amazing service
Amazing service. Great communication and efficient packing a moving. Would 100% use again and recommend to a friend.
Poor Communication and Reliability
We recently moved from Adelaide to Melbourne. Everything went smoothly on the Adelaide end—the packing and loading teams were very friendly and efficient. The first truck arrived in Melbourne a few days later, as quoted, and we were very pleased with the whole process. The second truck (which is a half-load), however, is yet to be delivered. It has now been 7 weeks since our move, and we have no idea what is going on. Our “Movement Manager” is impossible to contact, and on the occasion that we actually get through to her, she seems to have no idea of what is going on either. We were eventually told the truck would arrive last week, and were given a date and approx. time—but they never showed. After struggling to contact either the driver or our Manager, we were finally given another date and time for this week, which has also now come and gone without any form of update.
We are currently chasing this whole mess up and waiting to hear back from our Movement Manager.
Overall, it has been a very unprofessional experience, which is still yet to be concluded. We were very happy with the Adelaide team, but the Melbourne team just does not seem to be on top of things.

They turned up an hour early from the original appointment time and were quick and efficient with the uplift process.
My "6-8 week move" took 6 MONTHS.
My "6-8 week move" took 6 MONTHS.
This company made mistake after mistake with my move from Dubai to Gibraltar. I was promised a 6-8 week delivery and had been speaking with the company months in advance of my move. One week before the move, they told me it might take an additional week- not thrilled but no big deal.
I move and contact the moving company after 4 weeks to see if they can provide an updated timeframe at which point they said that my stuff HADN'T EVEN LEFT DUBAI! They stated they emailed me needing additional paperwork and guess what, they emailed the wrong email! So despite me returning all prior paperwork same day, no one bothered to check their spelling or give me a call for that entire month. They also failed to mention that additional paperwork was needed or I would have followed up sooner but since i am not a mind reader... All but one piece of paperwork was already in their possession regardless. And the cherry on top was being told by my agent that I was "lucky" that I wasn't being charged additional fees since the rates had gone up in that month. The literal audacity of such a statement blew my mind.
What followed was excuse after excuse on why my stuff wasn't arriving. MONTHS LATER, my stuff finally arrives in Rotterdam and I am told its now delayed in the port. Then I am told my things will be driven down to Gibraltar- if you don't know where Gibraltar is, its nowhere remotely close to Rotterdam! My stuff finally arrives in Madrid, a mere 6 hour drive from Gibraltar and then somehow my stuff gets driven hours in the wrong direction up to Barcelona and sent by boat BACK TO ROTTERDAM! Despite being in touch with someone at a director level with Allied, I was and am still to this day repeatedly ignored when I demand to know why my things traveled back to Rotterdam. No one will even acknowledge that this occurred which blows my mind.
My things finally make it to Gibraltar and I am relieved because I had been living on ONE SUITCASE of my belongings for 6 months. During this 6 months here is what occurred: I missed a wedding of my childhood friend and the birth of my best friends baby all because Allied told me my things would be delivered in that timeframe and I was never given the option of storage. Not that I had anything to wear to the wedding since the dress I bought for the occasion was in their possession. I also incurred crazy expenses buying duplicates of items I already owned such as kitchen tools, utensils, plates, linens, weather appropriate clothing since the temperatures sure did change in that 6 month timeframe and so on!
I then get an email within an hour of my things being delivered by an agent who tells me I incurred an additional 900+ euro fee from the Rotterdam port. Well I imagine there was an additional fee since my things sat in that port for weeks and also traveled through that port twice for a still unexplained reason. This is the same agent who let me know how lucky I was to not incur additional fees from my things sitting in Dubai for a month.
So in addition to dealing with this agent, I also worked with a manager who would schedule calls with me and then stand me up and not get back to me for days after standing me up and offer no apologies. I also worked with a director who I had high hopes of helping to resolve my problems, only for him to ghost me after my things arrived and after he had promised me a refund which I had not received. I finally had to escalate and the VP I dealt with offered ZERO apologies (which is a theme with this company) and put me back in touch with the director who had ghosted me!
I paid allied roughly $5,500 USD to move my things within an 8 week timeframe and their refund back to me was a mere $800 for the move turning into a 6 month ordeal, which doesn't even begin to cover the expenses I incurred.
I would recommend finding an alternative moving company to deal with. Mistakes happen however there are ways to make amends for mistakes and Allied has not figured that out yet. An $800 refund doesn't come close.
Successful moving experience …
All our furniture and belongings arrived undamaged and in good condition. The service was fast and efficient. We were kept informed of progress and delivery times. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Avoid like the plague!!
Avoid like the plague!!! .. JUST DONT ..Terrible service and take no responsibility for damage.. They expect you to take out over priced insurance with them to cover damage they do to your items - Then when they damage like they do they expect you to claim and pay excess for what damage they have done.. Further more the communication is terrible.. Sales is all rainbows then they go downhill from there rabidly .. Should have gone with another option.. Total rubbish
Every person we interacted with did so…

The rudeness of the Hamilton office staffer who completes quotes left me speechless..
Well done Allied she has changed me from possible customer to a proactive whistle blower to anyone I know moving. Allied Hamilton has appalling customer service.
The Allied Chaps of Bunbury
The chaps from Bunbury Allied - Barry, Levi and two other colleagues, were friendly, organised and helpful in unloading our household.
We were informed prior to their arrival and they arrived on time which was great.
