This was the easiest website I’ve ever used! The flight seems to be reasonably priced as well! I was not familiar with this website beforehand. They also have other payment options.

With Alternative airlines i have two wings I can fly anywhere thanks to Altrtnative airlines.

Used the online booking platform. This was quick and easy to use. Had no issues with finding booking and completing payment using Klarna. Also communicated wit customer service in reference to confirmation of booking and found the customer service representative to be very professional in her approach and information requested was done quickly and exactly what I asked for.

I booked a roundtrip ticket from DC to Dubai (Feb 28 – March 12, 2026) through Alternative Airlines. Due to the war, my return flight (KLM) from Dubai to DC was cancelled.

For the next 8–10 weeks, I repeatedly followed up with Alternative Airlines regarding my refund. Their only response was that they were still waiting on KLM to refund them. When I asked for any documentation or receipt so I could follow up directly with KLM, they refused to provide anything.

At that point, I contacted Affirm, since I had used their service to pay for the ticket. Even after sharing all my communication and proof, Affirm did not assist and continued to require payment.

So I’m now stuck paying for a ticket I never used: one that was cancelled by the airline.

Lesson learned:
Avoid third-party booking platforms like Alternative Airlines. Book directly with the airline whenever possible. Also be cautious using “pay later” services like Affirm in situations like this, they may not support you when things go wrong.
